Staff truly care about the residents at Elison of Marietta. The room sizes are sufficient for residents needs. I would recommend this facility to others looking for care for a loved one.

It is a good facility, but is experiencing a large amount of staff turnover recently. It also has some ongoing issues with maintenance issues, such as heating and cooling units needing repairs and service. The activities are just not in my areas of interest. They skew toward an older demographic, which matches the residents. I'm the odd one.

I wish dad could have stayed longer. The only issue they had was being short staffed. The staff were all pleasant, dad liked the food and they do have some nice rooms that overlook the lake. They have a walking trail around the lake and nice facilities. I think it's a good place for family members who qualify. Although they offer level 5 care and were kind and helpful, just were short staffed when dad was there. Maybe my expectations were not realistic but they were great to try to work with us as much as possible. If dad was able, we would use them again.

They just changed owners so time will tell. The staff are wonderful that take care of the patients. The office staff I have had a couple of issues but nothing major. Overall very good. Really my only complaints are due to short staff. My moms room and bathroom is not cleaned as well as it should be. I literally take a broom up there occasionally and sweep the floor under her bed is so nasty. They do not do enough activity with them but once again they are short on staff. They quit giving us the code to get into the memory part and we sometimes have to wait on someone to get free to let us in. Those are my only complaints , other than that we really like the place. The food sometimes looks disgusting lol I would tell people to ask how often they clean their rooms and how much activity they will get. One of the things that I don't like when the new Director came she made it where the memory care side cannot go over to the other side for any activities they have to stay in that part which I don't think it's fair to them so I would just ask questions. Ask questions like you would ask for a daycare lol But comparing to other places I think it's very nice just not perfect

Love the activities and interaction with other residents. My mom is very social and that has helped her a lot. No facility is perfect and I visited a lot before deciding on Lynridge. It was the only one that the moment I walked in I knew it was where she should be. Have not regretted that for one second. In fact I have referred 2 friends there and they also are very pleased

The Heritage is best for residents not requiring much help. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I do think they could have a better staff to resident ratio.

Overall experience - My mom has been happy with her choice to stay at Ascher Point. They help the residents get to know one another and make it more than just a place to live. Cleanliness of the facility - As an older facility, it is harder to keep clean and maintain the facility. They refurbished some rooms due to flooding and interiors are great. However, the exterior carpet/flooring still needs to be replaced and still needs some painting. The dining area seems to always be clean. The maintenance has been slow due to the number of things that needed repair and due to the turnover of the property to another company. Friendliness - The staff is great and will go out of their way to help residents. They are always very friendly. Quality of care - Since it is an apartment, there is not individual care for the residents. The staff does care greatly about the residents and always helpful in making the resident’s lives better. 5.Administrative staff - In addition to always being friendly and helpful, they are very responsive to the needs of the residents. 6.Food - They have had a lot of personnel turnover in the kitchen. However, food quality has been good, with a lot of variety. They do keep snacks and drinks available often outside dining hours. They have a lot of special occasion meals for holidays and for birthdays. 7.Activities - They have a lot of activities that my mom enjoys. They do a good job of scheduling a variety of activities and where everyone has a chance to enjoy. 8.Value for the money -They had a recent cost increase of about 6-7% but the price is still reasonable for a decent place to live. Helping residents with light cleaning of their apartments, friendly atmosphere, caring staff and the quality and variety of food makes this apartment complex and nice place for senior citizens.

I love the facility . Everyone is super nice and they take good care of my dad . The food there is really good too as we all know thats very important. Highly recommend the facility . The only change would be to have more help

The director [name removed] has been wonderful working with us – extremely personable and getting things done in a hurry when we needed it. I love the atmosphere of the whole place – light, clean, pleasant – and the memory care staff was fantastic – attentive and friendly and kind. We had a few issues in assisted living – temporarily missing laundry, mixed-up meds, and once Mom was sent to the ER by ambulance, but no one knew which hospital she went to (they finally figured it out, but it was a bad hour or two). We also found their leadership staff fairly unresponsive to email inquiries, which was frustrating. But overall, our experience was very positive.

The facility is nice but showing it's age. If you tour the facility and decide you want your love one to stay there ask to see the room that your family member will be staying in not just the model room they show everyone. I believe they only have 1 RN on shift and the rest are aids. I do not like the way they store everyone's medication and think I might be easily mixed up. All in all it's a lot better than most in the area. Visit often if at all possible.

They changed the administrator back in early winter. The staff was told that they were getting too close to the residents and needed to back off of interactions. Most of the original upper management has left. The chef quit and the food and food service are terrible now. Cold food is not acceptable. First of the year they added charges to us on how we pay our rent. $[removed] extra with debit card. $[removed] pay with check and a percentage with credit card. I paid my March rent with my debit card and was charged $[removed] extra credit card price. I'm not happy.

My mother is recognized and greeted by name. The care and ease of having her meals delivered when she was sick was outstanding. She is very happy with her apartment and I am happy knowing someone is always close by if anything is needed. It is a great location. A grocery store is next door as well as restaurants, a bank and an urgent care. We are very pleased.

for us it is been more about the transition ( mom to new housing )...so, the facility has been more secondary...but based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families.

There is a lot of freedom, yet they are available all the time. Attentive but not intrusive.

I give everything a very high rating except for the food. We are having a real hard time with that. Also, the activities could be much better. that they run out of food often. They advertised that they have gourmet food and that is not the case that is their main selling point, which is what makes it so frustrating because it is definitely not the case also whatever is on the menu is not necessarily what's offered when you get there which is not great for elderly people. Also the time it takes for them to eat is about 2 1/2 hour. Because of the slow service.

I would have rated 5 on everything. However, they need more staff for such a big place. The meals were tasty, and there seemed to be variety, but really no options for diabetic residents. My brother did not seem to participate in activities enough to tell me what he thought of those. There seems to be plenty of parking and your cars seem safe.

The staff is very friendly and accessible. Administrative people have offices that enter from the lobby and they are always willing to visit and listen if you have questions or problems etc. The cleanliness score isn't because the overall place is dirty - it is because the housekeeper is lazy about doing her job in the apartment. Didn't change the sheets until I brought it up with management, sweeping and mopping not done regularly etc.

Very helpful with drug dispensary. Brought the right dose multiple times each day when I was not available to monitor. The food was great. Nice variety as well as quality. Took care of laundry weekly but access to washers/dryers was always there if needed. Some of the help worked harder at not working than they did at being helpful. This was not universal but more than an isolated problem.

What's very frustrating is that there is NO description on what the different levels of care provide. It's just cast in "minutes" and that's not helpful at all. Other facilities had complete descriptions of what their various care levels provide. My mom says The house keeping is immaculate". Coming from my mom, that's very high praise indeed. She really wishes newspapers were available at WC
