Overall I was satisfied. I had a couple issues but the management took care of it. Mom was with Hospice also and between the two she got very good care. If I had known she was so close to passing I probably would have put her in skilled nursing.

They only issue is that it takes some reminding to get something from the staff. Other than that, it is great.

The facility is very pretty. The parking lot should be a little larger. The staff are nice and helpful. It is good to know this is independent living, so the residents are pretty self sufficient.

What stood out to me - The staff is so nice to my father and our family. Very patient with any questions we have and how they work with my father.

It has been fine, except that their billing department is not very good at their job, which means that we've been having trouble getting reimbursement from the long term care. Everything else has been fine.

My Dad enjoys living there and all of the services. It's a good place for someone who doesn't need much care. The apartment is appropriately sized. It's an efficiency and he doesn't need much more. They recently put in new carpets, flooring and paint so it looks nice.

The facility is open and roomy and well lit. They have good programs to help those in memory care, and the staff has been very helpful for him

Asher Point was a good place for my mother. She always felt safe there. Staff and residents were friendly and welcoming. One suggestion for change would be: Meal plans - have a variety of meal plans available at a reduced price (I.e. dinner only) Only complaints about staff: Staff - do what you say you're going to do. Don't say you're going to do it if you don't have time or if you think it's unwarranted. Just say no. Don't say you're going to change out a refrigerator and then not do it after being asked three times. Also, very slow in returning phone calls.

There are no independent living cottages available with a waiting list. There are many assisted living spaces though.

The facility was nice with lots of activities and the staff friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the administrator but I ended up not having an issue and then she was fired. My father was only there for 2 months. This is a facility I would recommend to others looking.

Under the bed and dresser are dusty. The workers talk to the residents too much about others residents and their (workers) personal issues. What I liked most about the community is the location.

They are WONDERFUL!! They are the best thing about the place! I'm not going to lie--my mother can be very difficult. And everyone there has always been super kind and great to us.

They went through a management transition in April. Place is very clean. Admin staff show good progress after the change but there is clear room for improvement. Cost for care lowers the number. We were assessed at level 3 but used level 2. We are now paying for level 2.

I don't think they have an Exec Director and haven't for several months. Plumbing issues took a month to be resolved but not the maintenance folks fault as they had to order parts on their own credit cards bc of no exec director. The food staff is attentive but a bit understaffed. They had a big turnover around April 1 and seem a few short on food staff.

You just have to stay on them if you want something done. I wish there were more family activities. Assisted living is just so expensive. I didn't give 5's just because there is always room for improvement.

. Overall the property is old with many problems. The dining room does not provide menu ordering, only buffets. There are a lot of people in independent living who would be better off in assisted living but management pushes to fill apartments regardless of the person's abilities. There is a high turnover rate.....not sure how much is health related.

The director is open to listening to residents with their comments and or questions. Family will be called if their loved one has had falls especially frequent falls. As a part of the services provided residents may sign up for rides to locations they want to go to the courtesy car is very nice and comfortable. Then the resident calls the concierge calls when he/ she is ready to return home. There is al so s bus for weekly trips to shop at Walmart. There is a saloon on first floor for men and women. The maintenance staff is available Monday to Friday to attend to any issues that may come up. Some of the staff are bilingual with English and Spanish. There is a staff for house/apartment cleaning. On average there are movies shown in the theater where where fresh popcorn is provided. One of my favorite activities is going on my balcony at night to see stars ,the moon and the lake. Another option is living in a cottage on the property. In the main building there is a chapel for those wanting to go to serviced. Sometimes visiting choirs will provide a sing along time. Call the office for a time to ask questions about activities provided weekly. You ca attend exercise classes in the building. You can walk around the large building or get a ride into town to shop, go to the town library. Every 3 or 4 weeks that library brings a book mobile and wheels in books to the lobby for you to check out. You can request s book. Come visit and see what appeals the most to you. I visited with chef from San Antonio who was pleased with his guest's meal so was his wife. There are individuals and married couples living here. If you are spry, you can walk to a Mexican restaurant, a Walgreens, a UPS store Braum's, another restaurant without crossing a street. These walks are for those who walk easily and like it. I do that sometimes. There is also a Dairy Queen where I have iced tea maybe with fries do I read and think about what dream do I what to accomplish. The lobby is very nice and comfortable for reading and day dream or visit other residents meet new residents or work on the puzzle laid out on a large table. I left out bible classes occur. Check out the activity calendar. Their are apartments for guests to stay in for a few days. Okay it is your turn to see what you think about our home, maybe yours also one day. It is free to visit. Bring your list of wants.

[name removed] at Waterview did a great job helping me entice my reluctant 88 year old mother. She had her home and didn’t want to leave it! She lived alone (down the street from me), and it had become too much for her. We went for a visit to Waterview and had us stay for lunch. They did a good job letting her warm up to the idea over a matter of months. When the time came, they made her feel special and welcomed. She has been there for 3 months and has made friends. Very thankful she’s adjusting well.

The Folks that work in Memory Care are great. With the change in ownership the administrative staff is not quite as good or friendly as before.

Good head nurse and nursing staff. Nice aids.
