After being the primary care giver for my wife for three years, I reached the point where I could no longer meet her needs. After doing research on various memory care facilities, I decided to place her at Arden Courts in Elk Grove Illinois. As difficult as that was, each passing day confirms my decision was the right one. Simply put the entire staff, starting with the most caring and genuine Executive Director who sets the tone for the entire community, is outstanding. The moment you walk in the home to visit your love one, you are meet with a smile and a welcoming greeting. The experiences I’ve had with all the people who deal with my wife, from the chef’s, activities director and caregivers is outstanding. They truly care for the residents and treat them with love and respect. I highly recommend Arden Courts for anyone looking for placing their loved one in a memory care facility.

Arden Courts in Old Orchard is a great memory care community for my mother. First, the administrative staff are excellent. It is a hard decision to place a parent in a memory care community, but the staff were so incredibly helpful. They educated and spent time with me discussing the transition and expectations. The nurse and directors were very attentive to the emotional stress that families encounter. They held my hand. My mom acclimated well over 2 months, and if she is comfortable then so am I. The direct care staff are attentive and kind to the clients. I have seen them both comfort clients and celebrate with them. The staff who run activities are energetic and positive. There is a fair amount for the clients to do: music, chair exercises, religious services, special events like dancing and music, and off-site activities for some clients like theater and meals out. The activities staff at Arden Courts keep the clients busy, and my mom is doing so much more there than she was at home. The center is clean, and the layout is nice. There are 4 “houses” or wings that accommodate 16 clients, and it is all on one level which gives it the appearance of being small. I like this aspect. It does not seem that anyone will get lost or be unsupervised, and there is enough room for the clients to roam about. The outside courtyards are well kept and roomy. I also like that Arden Courts specializes in dementia. That is all they do, and this is important. If there were other populations of aging adults without dementia on site, I would expect that those with dementia may not be regarded as important or forgotten due to their special needs. However, at Arden Courts, every consideration is for aging adults with dementia. I highly recommend this memory care community to those looking.

I had looked at possible places for my husband for two years around the Northbrook and nearby areas. The last place was Arden Courts. When I walked out, I called my son and said, "This is the place!" There is very little turnover of staff and training is ongoing monthly. When you walk around, you see a staff that is happy to be there, and always engaged with the residents. I took my husband to the Orchid Show at the Botanic Garden, and on our return, he said, "It's good to be home." The atmosphere is very homelike and safe at the same time. They have two nice courtyards that are connected with a sidewalk to go on short walks. The residents can walk around freely, no locked doors within the living space. It is always clean. When I visit, they know me by name and often share a story or conversation about my husband. Activities are varied with lots of enthusiasm! They have monthly family activities which include our grandchildren!

The staff at Arden Courts in Largo are very caring and they treat the patients like family. They were very much appreciated. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Your loved ones will be in good hands.

The main thing that stuck out about Arden Courts in Bath was that they were a memory care facility that specialized in Alzhiemer patients only. I would tell anyone looking into facilities that maintaining communication with staff is very important. I highly recommend for memory care

We looked at 18 Memory Care residences before we found Arden Court of Bingham Farms and as soon as we found it we knew it was the right place for our Mom. Our Mother was at a different facility that did not take the time to understand her sensory issues and the lack of meaningful care left her highly anxious and struggling with behaviors. From the moment we moved her to Arden Court she has been peaceful, comfortable and content. We are so grateful for the professional staff who have taken time to really know and understand our Mom. Every single staff member is kind, compassionate and sincerely cares for each resident. We are so grateful to Arden Court for bringing peace to Mom and to our family

I wanted share our experience with an employee who made our transition into this memory care community nothing short of amazing . Not only for us , the family , but also for our loved one . From our first conversation with [name removed], to touring and then moving our loved one in, she showed us empathy , kindness , understanding , and patience with our many questions which showed us how knowledgeable she was about the disease . She communicates with us often , and shows a genuine concern for us and our loved one and we could not be more appreciative of how smooth she has made this transition for us all .

I moved my "chosen mom" to AC 2 weeks ago. She had spent 4 years in a memory care unit of a CCRC where I had been asked to consider long-term for her. At her previous place she was often sitting alone at a table sleeping. Now at AC she is awake and involved with activities and others. The staff have the lunch tables set and beverages out for her. She does not have to wait 15 minutes to be served with her beverage. The staff truly show their kind caring with her. I am soooooooo thankful.

My Dad was cared for at Arden and now my brother is. Arden staff have been incredibly patient and caring. My brother can be difficult but they know how to soothe him and make him feel comfortable. Arden staff feel like family. The nursing staff is truly excellent but all the other staff from the administrator to the dietary staff to housekeeping and maintenance have all taken the time to forge a connection with my brother and me. I’m grateful to Arden for treating my family like their family. This awful journey has been made much easier knowing my brother is at Arden.

I fell in love with Arden Courts Kensington (ACK) the first time I visited it. The appearance on the outside was attractive. I was immediately given brochures and taken on a tour by the Executive Director. An available private room was well-appointed and included a private bathroom. The accessible outside courts have a lovely gazebo. My wife was recovering from surgery for a broken ankle and using a wheel chair. At ACK, she made rapid progress thanks to superior physical therapy. Now she can walk without assistance. The staff check her blood pressure and dispense medications every day. An MD visits once a week and a Nurse Practitioner is available on some other days. They all do a good job caring for her safety and hygiene and keep her healthy. My wife is happy. There are lots of daily activities as well as parties on holidays. The food is good, and we tour the facility after breakfast. The staff and residents are delighted to greet her: they love to see her big smile.

The facility is colorful, bright, and clean with a large landscaped backyard to walk around following meandering paths. Staff is attentive and positive. Rooms are kept clean. Residents are kept clean. All meals are cooked fresh with appropriate serving size.

Our family was looking for a place that felt like home for our Mom. The Sale Rep loaned me their video book, so I could show Mom the place. Plus the photos on their website look just the rooms in the facility. When we toured the facility, the caregivers, RNs and community activity director were friendly. Since Mom arrived at the Arden Courts, she has been made welcomed. They keep an eye on their residents routinely and have contacted us immediately when she has fallen. We are glad to have those routine checks even through the night. The activities are organized and to help their memory. I would recommend Arden Courts to anyone. My dad did a 30 day respite with Arden Courts of Fair Oaks. We were thrilled with the care he received. The nurses and CNA's were attentive and patient with my father. If we can no longer keep him at home we will gladly place him at Arden Courts.

At Arden Court Fair Oaks, there’s a notable shift toward setting an example for others! With a new Executive Director and additional staff members, positive changes have been evident in a short span. My family and I are delighted to witness this positive trajectory, and we firmly believe that with the compassionate caregivers and nurses, they have the potential to become exemplary. While there are still areas to improve, having a proactive leader gives us confidence that anything is achievable over time. The residents consistently receive attentive care, and the meals are outstanding! Whenever we visit, my mom is thoroughly engaged and happy participating in activities.

Arden Courts is a fantastic facility! My mom only lived there for 8-9 months because of a fall. They did provide her with good care while she was there and the head directors did an excellent job.

The staff has been outstanding to my Mom and our family! We have had experiences at other nursing homes and memory care with our grandparents and uncle. Arden is by far the best place I have ever been. The care and compassion radiates in the residents! Our Moms quality of life has improved by 110 percent compared to living at home with in home care. I would tell them that it has been a life-changing experience for both myself and my loved one. They are able to meet my loved one's needs with his advancing dementia that I would never be able to do as the daughter unit. He is able to be free to live his life at his new normal and they are adept at assisting him thru the changes he is experiencing with a knowledgeable and skilled hand. Honestly I have not seen him this happy in 20 years. Arden courts was a perfect fit for my loved one and they took him under their wing at an extremely challenging time. I cannot recommend this organization enough!
