My friend is in this community and I'm not impressed. Nurses ignore simple request such as putting on a residents sock. And in the state of MI if someone refuses a service they don't make them, but they have dementia so they should figure out how to wash her hair. It's been 2 1/2 months since it's been washed. I understand it is a difficult situation but they just sit in the T.V. room. They do the minimal work her for the residents.

Silverado is overpriced, understaffed, there's not enough care available, and inconsistence and lack of communication are rampant. It's a beautiful facility, but there just isn't enough care. Most of the staff are very nice, but I have to hunt around for them when I'm there visiting and need help. A family member of ours was there visiting, and found our loved one in filthy pants with blood spattered on his bed and pillow. No one knows what happened. My loved one needs his food cut up very small because of his acid reflex, but no one is ever there to help him with that. Other residents have to wait a very long time for their food. We thought Silverado would be wonderful, but it is far from it.

Nice facility. Felt more like a nursing home setting. Did not like the rooms would rather have actual apartment. Prices were high but I do understand memory patients need/require more assistance.

It has been a tough transition for my wife, and I with her move into this community. She has been in many community's, but I do feel she is receiving the care she needs finally. She is doing well, and they are taking good care of her, and her needs. I don't think I'am ever going to be comfortable with her living in a community, but I do feel she is safe, and in good community.

I had a good tour of this community. Everyone was kind, and friendly. The community was well maintained from what I saw. The staff was kind, and helpful. The experience went well. I did find a better for my mother, but my tour went well of this community.

Unfortunately I wasn't very impressed with my tour of this community. The appearance of the community looked like an old hospital. While touring the community I saw there is only one shower in the hall. The room they showed us had tiny closet, and you were only able to bring a week worth of clothes. It felt like an institution, and I didn't feel this would be the right fit for my mother, and her needs.

I took a long look at this community for my mother, and her needs. It is a nice community, but unfortunately I do not feel this was the right fit for her, and her needs overall.

We had a pretty nice tour of this community. The community was nice, and well maintained from what we saw. The staff was informative, and answered all our questions. They were also very kind. The experience was a good one. Unfortunately the location wasn't convenient for us.

The main thing I liked about this community is the amount of activities offered. I would give the activities directors a ten. They did not do a very good job of keeping mom's room clean and taking care of her personal needs. Some of the aids did not seem personable or approachable. The food looked pretty good.

I was not impressed with the way this community divided the residents by the level of care they needed. The decor seemed dark and it felt more dated. The community seemed clean and the people I met were nice.

My grandmother had went to this community for a short stay and to help her find a good medication that worked for her that would help stabilize things. The staff where really great and where very friendly to my mother while she was in there care. I do have some concerns about the safety of some of the residents though. There was often different residents who lived there that where wondering in other peoples room including my grandmothers and becoming aggressive. I had to ask to have a lock be put on my grandmothers door to make sure she was safe. The food was also not very impressive and was often frozen still and very bland when served.

When we toured this community, it was still called U.S. Memory care. when we walked in, it felt really staged how the residents were all in the main area doing their activities. When I walked into the hallways, I saw the activities calendar and it has not been updated in over a month. Also, my mother's current roommate at the community we chose moved out of this place.

We had a nice tour of this community. The staff was very kind, and friendly. You could tell they do a good job with the cleanliness of the facility. Everything looked great. The experience went well, and this is a nice community.

During my tour I had noticed that everything was a little out dated in and out side the building. They needed to do some updating throughout the entire complex and get some new furniture as well. I just overall was not very impressed with what I had saw and wanted my dad to be in something a little more up to date.

The layout of this facility is very nice. It's kept pretty clean. Good concept in that there are four hallways so it's easier to manage smaller groups. The gardens are so nice and located next to a golf course so it's peaceful. The downsides are for one being understaffed. No room for incidents that take staff away from caring for individuals. For instance, often it's often one to two staff people to 14 plus residents and if one resident falls or needs special care, the tensing residents are on their own - no room for error. For two, the staff really doesn't engage the residents. They mostly are there to make sure no one falls or to get them dressed or showered but there's not much involvement socially. For three, the activities are limited, mostly understimulating, not creative, and unenthusiastic. I don't know how often they make the effort to find new activities or look for volunteers but they could improve here. I think for the most part the staff really cares. There's just not much incentive for them to go above and beyond.

I had a good tour of the community. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. It was a nice experience, they treated us very well. The cleanliness of the community was good. Everything looked well-kept. The staff was friendly and nice.

It worked out reasonably well for my mom. We liked them a lot and they have been good at communicating with us when we asked them. They are consistent with wht they do. The community has an outdoor and indoor area for residents. Baking is offered and they can make pies. My mother-in-law shares a room and being more functioning does not match well. Structured activities are provided. I like that the ratio is good here about 60% women to 40% men.

I toured this community. The staff was nice and patient. They were able to answer all of my questions. The community however is larger then what my mom would like. If you want a large community I would recommend this to families wanting good care.

The food was ok and they offered events. The community was clean. The staff were nice and friendly to us. We had concerns due to when we visited our loved one they would not have been bathed and cleaned up. We received mixed and incorrect information as there is poor communication between the staff members. We did not receive the intake results for him until almost 2 weeks later. The person that helped us get him registered there did not let us know they would not be our contact person once he moved in.

I had a pretty decent tour of this community. This is a pretty decent community. There were many factors that played into where to move my mother too. This just wasn't the place for her and her needs. This is a decent community with kind people.
