Food is not good. They need to cook instead of serving prepare frozen foods. Activities are good. High staff turn over. Staff not always around to supervise residents. Furniture and carpeting needs cleaning and updating and there is a smell on the units.

We would recommend the community to others, but they could pay the staff more or just get more help

Inconsistent caregiver staffing is my main complaint. Otherwise OK.

I’ve been generally pleased with Arden Courts. The facility is always clean and the caregivers are wonderful—though at times they can be a bit too quick to step in, which can affect residents’ independence. That said, I feel a real sense of peace with the care being given. My biggest concern is with management: they rarely attend resident activities, and when they do, it often seems like they just grab food and leave. With more visible, engaged leadership and a few minor adjustments, Arden Courts could truly be the best.

The staff was very nice, the complaint I had was my husband was a little too high functioning for the population, and his activities were not tailored to his needs. He was bored with his activities and didn't want to go however, the physical therapy and occupational therapy was very good and it helped him. He never saw the real doctor or even a PA. Everything was handled through the head. Nurse and I felt there was lack of space to really visit. We stayed in his room most of the time the rooms are very nice and comfortable.

Had to get a new director during my wife's stay as training did not seem to be uniform across all staff and there was some in house bickering. Most admin staff did not go the extra mile to make sure things were clean (bathrooms) and that the rooms were properly stocked with supplies. My own personal caregivers made sure things were made clean and fresh for my wife. Some of the staff were cordial and pleasant. I did have my own caregivers as I did not trust the in house staff. When the staff cared for my wife they did not go the extra mile, items were constantly taken from the room, residents waited significant times to have their needs addressed. The food was average at best and often repetitive. The best part of the stay. The activities were varied and entertaining, got the residents engaged and involved. I experienced a 10 percent increase in the monthly fee 3 months after my wife was there. There were some aides that were very good, but they were few and far between. The overall atmosphere may have changed with the new director but my wife passed away before we could experience much of her supervision. I honestly was considering other nursing homes in my wife's last couple of months there.

Very helpful and nice staff. We would certainly recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

The concept is great! Not enough help! Visit daily to make sure your loved ones are attended to!

There's truly no place like home, and no facility can fully replicate the level of personalized care and attention that a loved one can provide. With that in mind, I would rate Arden Courts a 3. One concern is the high turnover of staff, which affects continuity and consistency of care. The quality of care often depends on which aide is on duty, as experiences can vary significantly from person to person. I've also noticed issues with training and communication among the staff, which can impact how effectively care is delivered. That said, I do believe the team is doing the best they can under the constraints of limited staffing.

We were worried about this next stage of my Father's journey but Arden had done a wonderful job.

Its a clean unique community with 4 cottages. Healthcare helpers and housekeepers are not trained or vetted to a quality level. Food is very good, not enough snacks offered thru out the day. This particular community has brand new management by Evergreen. So far there has been no family involvement with management to take care of complaints. Also, there is a new activity director. Patients have few activities and are very bored. Patients being put in their rooms by 7:00 at night while helpers sit and look at their phones.

The people at Auberge are nice and the facility is updated. It is a better place for someone who can walk well and doesn’t need much extra care. Unfortunately my husband had pretty advanced Alzheimer’s and they were not equipped to take care of him. He took two bad falls within a month that landed him in the hospital ER. I ended up moving him to a wonderful residential facility in Plano called Altius. The caregivers were attentive and caring. I loved the place

The reason my rankings have dropped are because the management company and executive staff have changed. The current manager does not interact with the residents or families and is never visible. They are always understaffed, especially on the weekends. We are paying for a level of care that he is not receiving. The food quality is poor and my relative complains about it every day.

I liked that the was pleasant and communicative. I could always find out how [name removed] was. However, [name removed] was a difficult case. She went to the hospital 3 times in 5 months without any physical problems. Arden did not want her back, so now she is going to a different facility. Though I don't blame Arden, I am disappointed with the results.

Level of expertise and caring varies widely. Weekends can be a real problem if no senior staff on duty. There are other places that cost less and offer more. They charged $[removed] monthly plus move in fee. Please note this is not a place for an alert high functioning senior! Most were non-communicative.

Overall it would have been best not to move my mother to yet another place. Putting VSB and Auberge on a very low scale for readmitting their own patients. I know they were both playing with a government nursing home stat that they want readmit rates low. So much needs to be revamped and revisited with real health care needs. Especially when it comes to patients that are bed ridden but are cognitively unable to stay in bed. We can't restrain them any more so they fall and break bones. My mom fell 6 times and broke well over 6 bones her last 6 months of life. We even had Bright Star for [fee removed] dollars a week to keep someone next to her. That staffer fell asleep and mom got up and broke something then as well. My heart still aches since her passing away [date removed] due to complications of a broken shoulder and multiple in healed fx What a terrible end.

Always loosing items, shoes, clothes, remote controls, eyeglasses. I am not sure I would recommend this community to others

As most places, they seemed understaffed at night. My husband came home with bruises on his back and forehead . Food was good. And most of the staff were caring and attentive. The activity director was very good. My husband didn't really want to participate, perhaps more arts and crafts instead of movies and sing a long.

Please see above. Nice facility, staff friendly, but food is not appetizing. Food looks horrible and does not look healthy. Vegetables do not look green, meat looks like it just came out of the box. Portions are very small.
