The administration staff never returned phone calls or emails. If there was a problem and they could fix it they would turn the problem so it would sound like it was your fault and you would have to remedy it. Staff was caring and thoughtful but weekend staff was contract employees and not caring

Overall it's nice. Activities seem less. The food is ok. Cleanliness is ok. The room is a decent size. I would not recommend. Seems like it has gone downhill. He is missing clothes and gets other people's clothes.

It's not the same as it use to be. A new management company took them over. A lot of turnover a lot of agency workers not all of them are bad but most just don't care....75% is good!

I started with a 5 when Mom was first there and it all went down from there. Knowledgeable staff, Mostly shorthanded and was told they were full staff when they were not. All Memory care and is still classified as "assisted living" protecting the facility from doing the things they boasted they were doing. When they were not doing as promised to get you to sign up. The entire industry is broken... Communication from care team lead was horrible and the caregivers that truly cared were way over worked to the point of burn out.

These are the overall scores. There are some staff members that would get the facility a much higher rating, while others a lower rating. My mom died at the facility and what I can say about the last few weeks is that she was loved and some of those great staff members helped me get through a very difficult process. I do feel it was the best place I could find for someone with dementia for the price. I haven't seen any other facility that is set up for dementia only residents.

I toured Arden Courts recently and found it to be a generally warm and pleasant environment. The staff I met were friendly, and the overall feel of the community was calm and welcoming. During my visit, I did notice a few maintenance issues that gave me pause. There was an active leak in the roof, and the room I was shown had standing water in the shower area from a flood. These may be temporary issues, but they were present during my tour and affected my impression of the building’s condition. On a positive note, the team was kind and even sent me home with a slice of apple pie, which I appreciated. My experience was a mix of hospitality and some concerns about the physical upkeep of the space.

Likes: the cottage/homey feel. My dad loves the food. Improve: I think they are quite short staffed at times. I find him needing help but can't find anyone sometimes. Engaging activities are a bit lacking.

Things were going well until a management change a few months ago. Currently, there is a resident nearby who frequently becomes very distressed and vocal, which can be unsettling for others. It may be beneficial for her care needs to be reassessed to ensure she is receiving the appropriate level of support and supervision for both her well-being and the safety and comfort of other residents.

The people who run it have good intentions but they are understaffed and many of the aides are poorly trained. The only means that a resident who is not mobile without help is by yelling for someone. Food is sometimes acceptable, sometime barely edible. I often had to supplement meals. I made sure to be there at lunch and supper to check. Because my husband was on dialysis, he often missed physical therapy. The incident that made me remove him was finding him lying on his bed in a tee shirt and khaki pants soaked with urine. The room was comfortable, bathroom clean.

Very nice people. I felt very welcomed and listened to. I realize this community is 100% memory care, however, I expected larger areas for everything. XL Twins beds and a shower down the hall for residents was unexpected. A Full/Queen bed would have really made the room tiny (but I appreciated the room coming furnished - that will help many families). I like how they do their best to engage their residents and have tactile walls, boards around the facility and beautifully “themed” areas. Value for cost… hard to say need to compare with other communities close by - although the other communities are not strictly memory care list Arden Courts.

Overall not terrible but I believe they are under staffed at night. Food and activities seemed okay. For the most part the facility was clean. Quality of care is lacking, because my dad required assistance with eating and I don't believe he was getting adequate support and assistance. He lost a significant amount of weight rather quickly, which suggests he wasn't eating. I don't believe his dental hygiene was attended to all. I feel like the facility is definitely underperforming in relation to how much money they expect from their residents and they need to make necessary improvements which would include hiring additional staff, especially during meal times.

Some days or four weeks I’m at the end of my road with the people not changing [name removed] and not cleaning up the cafeteria because when you track up track, will you track it all over the building and it seems to be about I look like I’m the only one that complains about you know they waste food they’re older and their reflexes in their arms. I’m going right, but they should be able to keep the cafeteria floor clean. That’s a big pet peeve of mine and they don’t have short staff. They’re always short or they have people that don’t wanna do certain things so they don’t do but mostly I think they’re short it’s on. I’ve only seen it one time like 44 CAS there and that’s that’s a large amount. That’s usually I’ll see about three CAS and you can’t. And you can’t operate a place that holds 40 people with three CAS on each shift or being overworked because they’ve done a double out of the three they’re doing doubles so it’s just so unfortunate. I don’t know what else to say. They are raising the

1. Food has gotten terrible in the last few months. 2. Reducing the activities daily and especially on Saturdays is a crime. 3. Reducing the stuff numbers is not safe. 4. Lack of communication between me, cs staff and hospice.

The staff is great and does a good job. Most staff were trained by a previous admin. The new administrator is very rude with a bad attitude. She is loud and talks over a person in a condescending manner. She does retaliate when she has an issue with someone including resident’s family members. If you over look how she treats family that has questions her leadership, it’s a good place to dementia care.

They are pleasant but always in a hurry to get things done. The room was very small and crowded. Couldn’t open the door all the way. In an emergency they would never be able to get him out

The place is also secure and very colorful. I could rest assured that my sister was safe and not alone. They provide many activities some that my sister could do others were beyond her ability, but she could watch and do whatever interested her. There are pluses and minuses to all facilities. It's not a bad place but I didn't feel comfortable keeping her there.

I'm not sure what you mean by administrative staff. The folks upfront, they're very friendly and helpful. The head nurses are overworked and frantic. 12 days into my sister's stay she had a stroke which was not attended to for many hours. Now she's living at [community removed] acute care and she can't do anything for herself. I think she would've had a stroke anyway given the amount of Seroquel that it took her to be non-combative

The facility overall is great and I see that they care and show love for my mom. They seem to have a problem with the second shift people who wash my mom clothes BUT don’t care about folding them up and they also ball them up and put them in her dresser drawer. Yes, this is the second time I have brought this situation to the directors attention. I referenced I am returning for the Thanksgiving holiday and pray I don’t see this same condition or I have no choice for to start looking for another facility that will care for my mom’s clothes!

Based on the experience so far, I would improve on customer service by the administration. I had questions that they seemed to have no time or interest to answer. The residents are very friendly, the food is very good and my loved one loves their room!

There have been ups and downs. Their staffing was too thin at first, but that seemed to have fixed that. They asked for a 16% price increase last month, but after negotiation they will hold for a year. I think they are really trying to take good care of mom.
