We used Silverado Sugar Land's daycare services for a time, and overall we were very pleased with the service. The staff were always very friendly, and greeted my loved one and our family warmly every time we arrived. The activities here were fantastic, they always had plenty going on, in addition to occasional trips and events.

They are going through some reconstruction inside the building. They are very, very respectable. There are couple of little qualms, but you’ll get that everywhere. They recognize you when you come in. It’s a smaller community – so they have more care services to go around.

So far they’re doing great. Everyone is so expensive – this whole assisted living thing. My loved one doesn’t use a lot of the activities yet. It’s one of the nicer communities. I don’t know if I’d say upscale, but a step above. The food looks better than food service grade.

We toured this community when we were looking into are options for our loved one. We thought this was a nice looking place! The facility itself was well kept and clean, and the staff seemed friendly and caring. We ended up choosing another community we thought would be a better fit, but this place is worth a look.

The food is pretty good, I have had one kind of bad meal, hot dog on a stick kind of thing. There is always something going on. They have some doggies here. Some have a resident dog but the ones here belong to the residents.

This was the best memory presentation. I didn't like the rooms at all. But it was really super clean on the inside. I want to avoid spending more than $4,000/mo if my dad is living away from Ann Arbor.

They keep them busy with activities. They just make it easier for placing someone with dementia into situations where they can thrive. There is enough parking. The food could be a little better as the portions aren’t very large.

Very, very nice. Saw the residents interacting with many different things. Something for everyone! Lydia was great. It is a lovely community, but again I don't know if it is the best fit for Dad due to the lack of privacy that I think he would expect.

The people were very nice here, someone who is higher functioning would do well. Our problem is that they weren't able to provide enough care and attention for our situation. Everything is separate, they prepare the food in a separate building, the nurses are in a separate building. There would be maybe one person in the house where my mom was, and that just wasn't enough help.

We are quite pleased with them. They are clean and friendly. The one area I think they could improve on, is communication. They could call us once in a while and let us know how things are going.

Overall they do a good job here. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and they've got a good variety of activities to keep all the residents engaged. The staff are all very friendly and professional. In particular we really liked the social worker, Lisa. She was so helpful during the whole process!

My father has only been at Arden a short while. So far it has been a good experience & my father seems happy & well taken care of

I have so far been happy with them. I have no real complaints. Sometimes it can be hard getting paperwork done, having things filled out. It sounds like they can take care of him through the end of life, which is nice, we don't want him to have to move again.

This is a beautiful, new, clean facility. The administrators are very capable, professional, friendly, and accommodating. They really went out of their way to help us get Dad admitted and established there. The meals are generally good (they seem to use quality ingredients) and are well-presented and flavorful, but only one main dish is available per meal so if a resident doesn't like what is being served, there are limited options for them. There are some EXCEPTIONAL caregivers who are obviously very loving, caring, and compassionate! I do get the impression that since this facility is a recent start-up, that they are not quite at full stride in all of their processes, and at times, seem a bit understaffed. I have not been there much during the day to see daily activities, so I can't really comment much on that.

This facility has done a very nice job of getting my mom involved. They are very friendly and I always feel welcome when I step in the door. I take comfort in knowing that they have nursing on staff 24 hours. Unlike many other assisted living facilities that feel like a hotel, this has the feel of living in a large ranch home. This has enabled my mom to feel much more comfortable and involved with the community. I would highly recommend this facility to those that require this level of care.

My family and I searched for the best place for Mom. We wanted a place that would not only care for her but treat her with respect and love. We toured at least 15 different facilities. We also spoke with many people who were also in our situation. By far, we found that the mindset of the staff at Silverado was the best for our Mom. She has been happy here and she has actually gained weight. The staff have embraced Mom and do their best to find ways to make her days happy and productive. All that being said, I would strongly recommend that anyone who places a loved one in any care facility needs to visit frequently and be their loved ones advocate. No place will be perfect, but if the facility is clean and your loved one can have dignity and respect and also be happy, then that is the best place.

The communication between the nursing staff and the caregivers is a problem, sometimes things don't get passed along like they should be. It was recommended by several people and is close to my home, and they do have a pretty good memory care.

My mother was only there about a month before she had a bad fall and had to go to the hospital. While she was there, I was very pleased with them. I liked the set up, and the way they had the little houses set up. As far as her care there, it was fine. I don't think that her falls had anything to do with her care.
