The staff is very kind and my dad is treated with respect and love. They're just very disorganized. It's hard to get a call back and I was never told when he ran out of medications or a change was made to his care plan.

We have found Arden Court to be pretty similar to most others. We had heard great things about them prior to placing our loved one there. As is the case almost every place, the sales team makes promises that the workers do not keep. Overall, I would say they are simply average, mainly due to the daily care staff. 90% appear to be there strictly for a paycheck. They lack compassion or empathy for patients. Many sit at tables on their phones. We question whether room checks are done hourly. There are other times we have found the rooms a mess. Again, after reading reviews of other facilities, this seems to be a common theme. There are a few staff members who go above and beyond but they are the few. The meals fluctuate between pretty good to below average. Limited variety provided. They claim they always have stand by items but that is not the case.

- What techniques are used to redirect behavior outbursts? - How much does medication come into play when managing behavior? - when behavioral issues occur, how is this handled to keep other residents calm? - what is the policy for alerting you to emergency bs non emergency situations? (Timing) - if a resident needs emergency care, or rehab, how are they notified/kept in the loop of progress?

overall we like the room value at Springhouse of Pikesville and the amenities are nice. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

They need more qualified help in care givers with better follow through on hygiene and activity planning. They need to do a better job in keeping rooms clean-mainly personal washrooms and floors in bedrooms.

The place is very welcoming, and the workers are better than most of the other places I have seen. They could improve with watching the residents much more and provide better care. The girls not only have to watch the residents and also do their laundry. Too many times I have had to discuss the care of my family member not being taken care of like her teeth are not in for meals, sheets need to be changed, and the room in disarray. They just increased their prices and I have seen reduced care. Overall I feel the medical field in general is not up to the standards as they should be.

Biggest problem with Arden Courts in Sterling Heights, in my opinion, is the Director. She is not empathetic or supportive and does not listen. But many of the other staff are very good. The facility is excellent, especially the outdoor access. And the recruitment person, [name removed], is also excellent and very helpful. If outdoor access is a priority, there are no other good options.

OK I would like to see more people and outside activities I’ve gone to for meetings for the bocce ball and the last one at the meeting we had last Friday two other men showed up for your need about 8 to 16 to make up teams. Yes and add there’s just tons of people on here interested in so I was just appointed in that, what are you gonna be some more people get interested I don’t know call I’m hoping the putting greens I guess that’s OK for a golfer but not for me cause I’m not. I’m not a golfer so I was hoping to get into the basketball and have some teams and have some outside activities .

My loved one was previously a resident at Arden Courts Memory Care Palos Heights and overall our experience at this facility was okay. However, I think that they set the expectations way too high and then could not deliver. My loved one did not receive the care that he needed and was told that he would get. I would recommend Arden Courts Memory Care Palos Heights to others if the potential resident assumed that they would only receive half of what they were promised.

Areas that The Auberge at Lake Zurich could improve no - Accountability in caring for the clients. My husband had multiple "lack of care" instances. When he came home I was back and forth with hospital and doctors offices.

They responded first to my inquiry, were able to host a tour right away, and was close to our location. I would recommend it.

I'd say if your loved one has any challenging behaviors they shouldn't go there. They aren't equipped to handle people with challenges outside the typical memory concerns. They have a beautiful outdoor area we knew my loved one would really like.

Overall when she first went in the room was dirty. Spiders and cobwebs everywhere. Some black all over corner of room by air and heat vent. Crap on back of bathroom door. [name removed] took care of it all and got it cleaned up. Didn't like one of the employees saying that I dropped my mom off like a dog at a shelter to my sister. Meals they only have 1 meal plan for dinner if they don't like it or can't eat it due to heartburn or herds. They give them a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner. What am I paying for as far as meals? Then I told [name removed] not to order 2 medications of my mom's the day she went in because I have Grant's for them. They ordered them any how, so now I have to pay for them. Even though I called them when I got bill and they said they would send back but they didn't. Now I am paying over [fee removed] dollars for 2 meds that should have never been ordered. I heard such great things about Arden Courts but the first month and a half has been total Hell for me. Some people there are bitches. Not telling names and Liars. I will not recommend Arden Courts to anyone at this time. I have been checking into other places or bringing my mom back to my home and having people come to my home to help me.

I would not recommend Arden Courts Memory Care Wilmington if your family member is a two person lift and wants to nap. My loved one is not getting enough rest. The staff is friendly, but my loved one's caretaker does not allow my loved one to nap because it's too much work getting her in and out of bed. My loved one's level of care is more skilled care and there are not enough aids to assist. The ratio is 2 aids per 11 or 12 residents.

There was an administration change during our time there. To that end, the new administration was no willing to uphold the previous one's agreement. This facility was costly and the residents were well cared for but the food was horrible and staff played favorites. I would not recommend Arden Courts in Wilmington - staffing these facilities is miserable.

It's a good facility for the most part. It's safe, has an outdoor area, indoors is spacious. We picked this community because they specialize in dementia.

They are still better than other establishments around here, but they need to get their management issues solved and get back on mission. We picked this community because they specialized in advance dementia care. Facilities is on target, but the staff training is not where it should be.

They are very engaged with the clients and family. The monthly learning sessions with the families was very helpful and informative. They could do better with communication between the staff and clients. I believe the staff was trying to accommodate some requests but did not communicate with the following shift on the requests. Also there were times where the room appeared to have a quick mopping and missed some of the floor. I think Covid and the ridiculous Illinois Covid policies and oversight caused difficulty with appropriate staffing. There were times when the staff level was low, but not the fault of Auberge. They did their best to compensate for the lack of staffing but seemed a little overwhelmed for the clients who needed more care and attention. I believe they are better staffed today but my rating is for the period we were there and Covid policies were difficult to navigate. Overall the leadership staff was eager to help and corrected any concerns we had. The hospice group has to get a lot better. I know they are a third party but boy they communicated very little and never gave an update unless we called them.

The beds at Arden Courts do not have any bedrails, nor hand rails of any kind to assist or protect the elderly. This has resulted in my 92 year old mother falling out of her bed numerous times as she has tried to get out of bed to go to the bathroom. There are no cameras, nor sensors of any kind to alert staff that my mother is getting out of bed to go to the bathroom at night. So my mother is on her own. This has resulted in my mother falling too many times! I have tried to stress the importance of these simple, sensible protocols to protect our elderly from ending up with broken bones, but my requests have been dismissed under the excuse that any type of bedrails and sensors are a restraint, and are not allowed. I feel frustrated and powerless. I feel that these are simple measures that prevent unnecessary injuries, pain and suffering. These simple measures should be part of memory care! It only makes sense!

My 88 year old Dad wanted to go to a facility with my Mom. He was in independent living. He could not be in Memory Care. I wish that my mom could of gone here instead of [facility name removed. Arden Courts is was all memory care. A little dog was running around which was fun. Communal bath was concerning. That was another reason I kept looking.
