I'd say it was a very good experience. I would definitely recommend Arden Courts to others. Everyone is very helpful and kind to me. Could use a "brightening up" update.

I like the layout, it has 4 wings with 16 residents each wing and one central circle. Based on the experience we have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families.

Arden Courts has been our family’s first experience with memory care and so far it’s been good. It’s not perfect, but my father has adjusted well and the staff are very friendly. The facility could use with some updates (like new carpet,) more staff members, and better communication, but my father really likes the meals they serve and most of the caregivers. They seem to really know their residents and treat them with respect.

Mom is finally in a place they can handle her increasing needs. The staff generally is helpful and kind and care about my mom. There are some aides who aren’t as nice but I understand it is a demanding job. They do a good job of keeping mom busy activities which is much better than most places which have a parent watching tv all day or stuck in their rooms. Overall a very positive experience.

Protein drinks were regularly taken by other residents. Besides the lower rating for meals, he was comfortable and it was a good respite experience for us. He passed about six weeks after his respite stay ended.

Caring staff, group activities. Loved the walking paths, comforting.

I need to share that this facility was just on a list with a place for mom and nobody recommended it for my mom's specific needs. Another facility told me Linden Village was a great option for dementia patients. What I really like is the home like environment with common sitting and dining areas. The staff members are truly caring, and most know how to handle dementia patients with ease. My mom feels loved by the nurses and caregivers.

Our experience there has been generally great. Has it been perfect? No. But I can’t imagine any other facility doing a better job. My Mom who has Alzheimer’s has been there a little over 10 months. She might not say she likes it there but I can tell that she does. Everything from taking care of her personal needs, the meals and the activities had been very good. I know many people, including my wife and myself, thought we/ they could take care of their loved one the best. You can’t. My biggest suggestion, and this isn’t a criticism of Arden Court or any facility, is that you need to visit your loved on a regular basis. it’s not just for your benefit but it makes things easier for everyone involved

Came to Arden Courts from [removed] they started out ok and went downhill fast. Arden Courts has better staffing much better and more activity’s. Handle difficult situations better and respond and resolve problems. Nobody’s perfect but they do well with a very difficult situation.

The friendly atmosphere, the nursing staff are great, the aides really seem to get to know and care for the residents. I would Definitely recommend them to someone looking for memory care

We used them for respite. They charge more money depending on location. It costs [cost removed]more per day for the Palos location. Now that they know we can afford to pay the higher price, they never have availability at that less expensive location. It's a for profit industry, so I get it, but I still feel a bit manipulated. Also, they gave the wrong rolling walker last time.

The workers were wonderful. But they should have had a lock on his door when out. Personal hygiene products, Wipes, diapers disappeared constantly as well as clothing. Would probably recommend though.

It was a very nice facility, well kept and the administration and staff were very nice and helpful. I was comfortable with my husband being there as he needed 24 hour care. The particular care givers he had were fabulous and loved him and took good care of him. This is just me venting. Caregivers doing all the hard work are never paid enough for all they do. The rate went up 2 times in the 15 months my husband was there. One time 8 percent with only one months notice. Way more than the average they said when moving my husband in. All memory care facilities are costly and more than the average person can afford to privately pay.

The concept is wonderful, and the staff is friendly, communicates well . As always, the quality varies between individual caregivers, and some are better than others. I know my mother is safe and well looked after.

My mom improved because she was able to finally relax in a stress-free and caring environment. I know that the peaceful conditions at A.C. greatly Contributed to her improvement. Mom & I are now closer than we have ever been. Thank you.

Not every place is perfect for every resident or family. One size does not fit all. This facility offers good workshops and info on dementia for caregivers. The staff is also loving and caring. There is not a lot of faith-based support, however. My advice... keep shopping until it feels right for you and your loved one. The concept of Memory Care appealed to me, as opposed to straight nursing care. The residents are treated with dignity.

I liked the physical layout of the facility. I didn’t like how callously the many costs were presented on paper, and how long it took to complete the paperwork, despite how kind the staff was. I would recommend Arden Courts to someone who needs quality memory care for their loved one

I like the facility accept clothes, slippers, eyeglasses disappear. The sheets and comforter are never the ones I bought. I wish they would sweep and mop my dad's bedroom floors more frequently. I would recommend Arden Courts in Monroeville to other families looking.

What our family likes the most about Arden Courts is the caregivers and the food. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would definitely recommend this community to other families.

We moved mom to be closer to us. They were great with her but with dad passing and her dementia it was hard for her there. Staff was great food excellent.
