My husband and I liked the set-up of the outer circular hallway and the simple furnished rooms. My mother lived there until she needed more care. What I didn't like was there never really seemed to be enough staff for these memory-impaired people during evening hours. The director refused to go to an outside agency when staff was low because it was too expensive. Even staff complained that staffing was low. I didn't like that Arden Courts was corporate owned.

The overall rating is good. Once the house nurse and the executive director left, there has not been any stability with the personnel.

They were the only places I checked out when advised that they had an opening...... visited and found the place nice and friendly. Also I thought the monthly fee was reasonable. I would recommend them.

We have been very happy with the experience at Auberge. Our only complaint is that they do not accept Medicaid. We will have to move my mother out of Auberge within a few months as we are running out of money. Auberge has been wonderful working with us regarding finances, but they don't have any Medicaid beds. I don't understand why memory care units don't. It's really very sad the way we (this country) handle our eldercare.

Overall satisfaction with Arden Courts Palos Heights. The facility could use more physical health- oriented recreational activities for residents.

The people are really nice and my aunt seems to feel safer and more comfortable there than [community name removed]. I think they are doing a great job in an inherently difficult environment.

We were disappointed that there was no oxygen mask available when her O2 level dropped Below 60, and then it was several days to get one that was correct for the machine.

Overall Arden Courts is the best value for all listed above and we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Always a professional atmosphere and friendly service when visiting loved ones and they are welcoming to new visitors… I would definitely recommend friends and family the price point wasn’t bad either

My mother has had dementia for several years. We put mom in Arden Courts 2 years ago and have been very satisfied with our experience here. The staff are very loving- always smiling and calling each resident directly by name. There are daily activities geared to support memory care patients that vary daily. Communication between staff and family is very good, and there are “social” events for families and their loved ones at least once a month. I highly recommend Arden Couts.

We have had a good experience having my father there for over a year. They are kind and caring. We feel that he is well taken care of and is in good hands.

Transitioning Dad from independent living to a dementia care facility was not something we wanted to do. We checked out various memory care facilities and they all felt like locked down clinical environments. Arden Courts was different. It was designed specifically for folks with dementia. It feels homey and open while also being safe. The people are the biggest difference though. They clearly love and care for the residents.

Not perfect, but a good place. We picked this community because of the friendliness of the staff and layout of the building & yard.

Male caregiver on evening shift in awesome, friendly and kind. Female caregiver on days is wonderful, nice and so sweet. Both take such great care of my mom. Like having familiar GGS, for awhile seemed like always new people.

Our family is very pleased with the care my mom is receiving at Arden Courts. The facility is very well-staffed and all are extremely attentive to mom. They great her every time they see her and she seems to recognize all the staff members. We really like how active the residents are kept with daily activities like exercise, music, games, art and crafts and shocks... and mom seems to enjoy all of it. The staff is patient and caring and feel very comfortable leaving her in their capable hands.

Staff, especially the life enrichment team, is resident centered and genuinely caring about each person. They encourage and embrace family engagement and offer organized opportunities to bring the extended community (residents and their families) together.

The building layout is well suited to reduce anxiety. Appreciate that the large walled outside area is available for the residents to use when they want. Activities are generally low key and flexible. Staff is great and caring, although occasionally inconsistent on small things (like getting laundry mixed up). All in all, a safe and happy place for my dad that also satisfies me.

I am slightly hesitant to put real opinions in sentences. Overall, the facility is remarkable. There are a few exceptions that really really could be worked on as they are the same issues over and over.

What we like the most about Arden Courts is the staff. The staff always keeps me updated on what she needs and are always telling me things she says We would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

The staff and worker are very accommodating. The true hero's are the caregivers that work nonstop with the residents. Bumps in the road in the beginning. An orientation process would be beneficial to meet everyone and know who to contact regarding specific issues (i.e., billing, cleanliness, meals etc.) The residents are clean and neat. Activities are great! Overall the facility is comfortable and secure.
