It's been a fairly good experience. It's a nice facility. There's a huge outdoor area with gazebos and tables and umbrellas. You can walk quite a long ways out there without running into a fence. It's very secure, and you can go out and spend as much time out there as you like, which is really nice. They constantly have a lot of activities, even after dinner. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They do everything they can to help me and help my loved one. I wish they would pay a little more attention to her hygiene. I've had some conversations with them and am waiting to see how they respond. But other than that, everything has been pretty good.

Even though it is older facility they did provide very good care. Staff were always accommodating to our needs.It is a smaller facility and they have been around a long time, everybody here seemed to be comfortable and content. They were also good with communication and returning phone calls. We looked at a lot of places and this one was the best fit for her. I would recommend them to others looking but also tell others if you make a visit depending on what others you have looked at it is not glamorous as some of the newer ones do. It is not about the glamour, it is about the staff.

I would recommend the community to others. I was so glad that memory care was a nice quiet place. They tried their best, especially during the pandemic. The communication was good with the staff.

The staff is very caring. They take pride in what they do. I've had a couple of different loved ones there, and I think they really want the best for their residents. I would definitely recommend Arden Courts of Kensington.

Their facility is more for memory care, so if they are independent it's not the best place. They had a dog at the facility for the residence and the rooms were small with a shared bathroom. If you need memory care I would recommend this community. I would have liked to see more physical activities for the residence.

My Mom has been here for 10 years. They are absolutely the best. They are not only competent and professional, but also very compassionate and caring. They treat each resident as if they were their own mother or father. I always recommend Arden when asked. Arden is peace of mind for me, and “home” for the residents.

I was happy when I choose this community for memory care for my dad. There layout and free flow between the community is great for a person experiencing memory impairment. I had a virtual tour of the community due to the fact that we couldn't go in, and the advisor was very pleasant and informative when giving us information. I was very much interested in programming for my dad and she went over and showed current programming being implemented and the residents seemed to be having fun. I have not tasted the food to comment on, but my day says it good and if he says it good I will take his word for it! The nurse has been in consistent communication with my brother and I about my dads medication and getting our approval before starting any new med that the doctor has prescribed. I know my dad will thrive here and we are happy we moved dad into Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn.

The staff are friendly and professional. Unfortunately, my sister went to them in the midst of the COVID "plague" that has made our lives so much more difficult while trying to get proper care for loved ones. She wasn't able to stay with them because of her declining mental health and had to be moved again.

The necessity to admit a beloved husband of 56 years to any facility was quite an agonizing experience. To find Arden Courts, to tour its warm and non-institutional environment, and to relate to its Executive Director and others there regarding care and daily routines, was certainly a tremendous support with understanding and encouragement -- and, actually, relief. Because of its proximity to our home (not the primary reason it was chosen), I was able to make almost daily visits throughout his first year there. This was an important emotional factor for me, understandably. But it also enabled me to come to know most caregivers well, it help out a bit, and to develop the trust and faith in his care. This is now the Covid era. How very grateful we are that he is there! And how grateful we are to all who personally care for him.

I thank God my son [name removed], daughter [name removed] and I took the time to check out a place for [name removed]. We found the perfect place for her at Arden Courts. all of your people are so attentive to the patients that it feels like home to them. Heck [name removed] and I spent so much time with [name removed] it felt like home to me. I just want you to know that my family and I will be forever grateful for your making her final days enjoyable. I promise to stop by when this virus clears up.

My husband has been well taken care of during the Covid Virus. I call him everyday, see him on the computer once a week. He sounds and looks healthy. Any problems or questions they contact me ASAP. I really appreciate this. This is the longest we have been apart and they help to ease my mind. The caregivers are so good to him and to me. They truly are heroes.

The care, expertise and compassion at Arden Courts were excellent both day and night. I spent an entire day and night with my husband and the care did not waver any time of the day The Exec. Director, [name removed] was the most caring man. He provided emotional and spiritual support for the caregiver. The head nurse, [name removed] was amazing. I would highly recommend Arden Courts for their loved one. I did not have the same experience at Evergreen Nursing care in Orland Park.

I have been a Home Care Podiatrist for over 30 years and I cannot remember the last time I was so impressed with a senior care facility as I am with Arden Courts of Bingham Farms. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking a memory care placement for a loved one. The staff at Arden Courts of Bingham Farms treats each resident with respect and dignity, as well as, creating an environment of welcoming and warmth. The "family" like approach of providing the residents with their own unique needs is commendable. It is obvious that the staff enjoys working at Arden Courts of Bingham Farms. The rooms at the residence are spotless and inviting and filled with natural light. The food is delicious! I would be remiss if I did not mention the Activities Director, who is so full of life and brings so much excitement to the activities, one would be hard pressed not to want to join in. Lastly, the Director, who is the conductor of this orchestra. The staff is in concert with the Director's knowledgeable and friendly approach. The Director's door is always open for any and all concerns of a resident or family member. My day is always bright when I have Arden Courts of Bingham Farms on my practice schedule!

I cannot say how much I have appreciated the care and compassion my mother received at Arden Courts for over two years. From the individual caregivers to the nursing staff to the Activity Center staff to the Administrative and Maintenance staff everyone really cares. Within two days at Arden Courts my mother went from an angry and combative resident (at her previous facility) back to her funny and feisty self. I remember I went to visit the second day in the morning and was told, "Oh, your mother is in the Activity Center having coffee after her breakfast at 8:00 a.m." I was dumbfounded because my mother never got up early and had breakfast, let alone went to any activities! My mother made friends, learned to love to sing and listen to music again, and found a structure of love and care that allowed her to thrive. I will never forget how much everyone has done for our family and will always think of them with a tremendous amount of love and gratitude.

My husband is in Arden Courts in Naples, Florida. The staff are very caring and helpful. The chef creates delicious healthy meals and the residents get snacks. Every day residents have a variety of activities to stimulate their brains. It is a pleasure to visit my husband and chat with him and the other residents living in his hall. I have found the staff to be sincerely interested in helping each resident be as comfortable, clean, and encouraged to participate in activities they enjoy. They also welcome family members to visit any time of the day or night and give the codes to enter when they visit. Arden Courts actually rescued my husband from a facility that did not help my husband adjust nor were they friendly toward the resdents. I would highly recommend Arden Courts for outstanding Alzheimer's Care.

Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our family is very pleased with my brother’s care. My brother has Early On-set Alzheimer’s and is very content and happy at Arden Court. He is part of their family and recognizes many of the staff now and interacts with them every day. I am on the property regularly, 3-4 times a week. I come and go easily at any time of the day or night. Everyone is friendly, happy and helpful. This was the right choice for my brother and our family.

This was to be a temporary placement for my husband while we awaited a bed in the Wilmington sister facility. The staff is outstanding. They truly understand dementia and Alzheimers patients, expect the behaviors, work to redirect and support the residents. We love that on nice days, the doors to the back yard area are open so residents can come and go. We are still wishing for some way that persons who have the ability to do PHYSICAL ACTIVITY can get that piece too. The staff has been helpful to me, working with me to solve problems and get things straight for my husband. They truly LIKE the residents! The food could be much better....more fresh fruit and vegetables...but it is adequate. It is a very long trip for me!

Living out of town can be hard when I was so close to my dad. However, since we have dad at Linden Village it gives me peace of mind knowing that he gets provided good care and when I do visit he is participating in programs, which adds quality to his life! I am so grateful!

My husband moved into Arden Courts at the end of December, 2018. He has Parkinson's and dementia. He moved from an assisted living facility. The assisted living was great until my husband's dementia progressed beyond the care that they could provide. He was withdrawing, not talking, spent most of his time in his room. Quit going on the outings. He had reached the point where more personal care with trained professionals who specialize with dementia issues and the care of dementia residents. Assisted Living was okay as long as he had the wherewithal to join in. We arrived at Arden Courts at 10am, I didn't see my husband until 4pm when I was finished setting up his room. Staff took charge of him as soon as he came through the door. HE HAD MADE A 180 DEGREE CHANGE! I found him in the community room. He was looking around, taking everything in. He saw me and said, "I'm lost here, where am I?" But with a smile. This was the first time in nearly a year that he responded to his surroundings. We went to his room, he was amazed. All of his things were there, pictures on the wall, clothes in the closet. He commented that he didn't know anyone. I said, "Honey, it's just like the first day of school, you'll make friends here." Staff take him to the programs, they check on residents every hour, they keep after his personal cleanliness, he likes the meals, when you walk in the front door, the front office people know where he is in the building. It is so obvious that the staff are trained and love their charges. For the first time in 8 years, I am sleeping at night, so Arden Court is not only good for my husband, they support me, will talk to me anytime about anything. They are just as concerned for the caregiver as they are for their residents. Yes, I am extremely confident in Arden Court.
