We were extremely pleased with the care my brother received at Arden Court. Above all, we were so grateful for the personal attention the staff paid to [name removed]. They were kind, patient, attentive and warm-- everything he needed in his condition. We could not have found a better home away from home for [name removed] to spend his final days!!!!!

Positive things include: Some really caring staff. beautiful gardens. beautiful and recently remodeled building. very clean facilities. communications have improved recently, support groups for families. monthly town halls. Delicious meals. Negative things include: A lot of turnover. We are on the 3rd director this year. 3rd head nurse, 3rd activities director, 2nd office manager. I believe due to the office staff turnover, communications have been poor at times, but it is currently good and I like the current team. Even with the turnover, my mom is well cared for. I am able to stop by frequently and after hours, and I am happy with what I see.

My sister in law has been very happy there. Very active socially. Our only complaint is that communication has been challenging. We don't always get our questions and concerns answered without lots of reasking

It’s a hard decision to put a loved one in memory care but it was best decision for my sister. Her sons and I are very pleased with the care she is getting. She gets plenty of attention and there are many activities going on around her. The staff is always pleasant. The rooms are nicely decorated and the general areas cheerful. Love the family barbecue held outside in the good summer weather.

The place is light and airy. Great for the homebound type of people who live there. I enjoy the aquarium and courtyard. The days are filled with activities. And I like that a haircutter is on premises every Monday. The staff seems willing be flexible when realizing something might work better, for an individual than what protocol dictates.

I feel my mother is safe and well taken care of. I feel the staff is doing the best for her. I feel she's in the best place possible. The vast majority of the staff are always kind to me and my mother.

They have a very robust activity schedule and they engage all patients by bringing everyone to the community room for entertainment and religious services. The entertainment included impersonators, singing groups, outdoor picnics, car shows plus gatherings for family members on various occasions. The maintenance staff was very attentive and the physical layout of the place is conducive to walking indoors and outside as well with gardens and seating areas to visit with family or just to rest. The various nooks like the library and bar area inside provide space to spend time with family or visitors or to socialize with other boarders. Drawbacks were: rooms are very small and the cleaning service is not the best. Also, the Meals were usually late and not what was listed on the menu if in fact the menu was even posted; no consistency there; the "chef" at the time didn't even know what he was going to make for the next meal sometimes. That was disappointing. The staff was welcoming and cordial.

Good: • Kind staff familiar with mom and her needs • Events held monthly for family to join • monthly Alzheimer's support group helpful • affordable care compared to other facilities • bed is always made, room tidy Needs improvement: • Mom fell once and I never received a call :( • caretakers need more training in changing bed linens (her mattress is now soiled so I must steam it ) • caretakers should be more proactive (or authoritative) in bathing and changing residents - as sometimes she needs her hair shampooed and teeth need brushing • although clearly labeled, mom's wheelchair was reassigned to another resident so I had to speak to staff about keeping it with her • more attention to housekeeping (bathroom is often in need of a scrubbing I've shopped around for 6+ years and am incredibly grateful to have found Auberge during this last season of mom's life. They saved us from having to put her in a government-sponsored facility. A lot of other care facilities are super expensive.

The staff at Arden Court is outstanding! There was nothing BAD! There were a few things to address. Which were immediately solved, a sticky floor, and some laundry mix ups! Staffing is great they see to the needs immediately, of the residents. {professional and supporting staff.}

They could have been more helpful in sending/completing all paper work needed for a death. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families and have recommend the community to other families.

There were a few things that were not up to par for the price. Most of the staff was caring and respectful to residents. The food is about a 3. The activities are really good. I would recommend them to others searching for memory care for their loved one - I think they are one of the better ones.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and there are plenty of activities for the residents. For those who are more alert, it can be a little difficult to see some residents who are physically or mentally unwell, but that's part of how the community is set up. My mother is still very aware of her surroundings and was initially a bit taken aback by this. That said, it's wonderful that they encourage everyone to come out of their rooms for activities and meals. My mother hasn't been this engaged and active in years. Overall, it was the right place for her.

Choosing Arden Court was a positive move for us. Overall, it is kept clean but I do wish they would clean the carpets frequently. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I like the care my Husband is getting staff cares and knows what he needs. At first he didn't care for the food but enjoys every meal now. He was just telling me that there was gravy on the potatoes at noon meal and really tasty. I think the activities could be better. Many residents are in a room to participate and not enough help or space to get everyone involved. Many residents have Alzheimer's and need one on one help that they aren't getting. I think that we are getting what we paid for. And its close to our home. One last thought from me is A Place for Mom is terrific cannot thank you all enough for all the support you gave me and my family

They have a monthly support group.

They were good to her I think she liked it there for the most part. The staff seemed real nice and they liked her, said they would miss her. Thank you again for your help.

Staff members were kind and patient. Bathroom sinks were not positioned well for residents in a wheelchair. Washing hands/brushing teeth was difficult. The food was not very healthy. Bananas were the only fresh fruit available each day. Residents were bathed twice a week and in between as needed. My mother required assistance with toileting and was kept pretty clean.

My aunt was in multiple facilities, some prices much higher, but the care and services she received at Arden courts were so much more personalized and superior.

Everyone was very helpful in accommodating our loved one who was quite a challenge. They also stayed on top of letting my e know when personal items needed reordered. Worked well with hospice team.

We toured Arden Courts in [date removed] as a possible place for my father, who has dementia. [name removed] was wonderful…she took the time to talk to us and understand our situation, then gave us a thorough tour. The rooms are adequate, low bed, dresser, and I believe a chair. No televisions are in the rooms, as they want the residents to interact with each other. There are multiple spaces for the residents to congregate. I was impressed that [name removed] knew every resident’s name as we walked on our tour. While ultimately we were not able to place my father in Arden Courts because he needs more care, we would have chosen them above the other facilities we toured

Overall it's a very nice and clean facility. It is expensive, but what I liked most compared to other facilities is it was one price for everything. The majority of the staff was very friendly and kind. They had activities for residents and families all throughout the month. At times felt communication could have been better, but it was during a difficult time as well.
