The staff, from the director to the nurses, caregivers, front desk, bookkeeper, and chef have all been incredibly kind and generous with their time and attention to my mother and those of us who love her. I cannot be more pleased with Mom's new home.

We toured this location when we were looking into care options for our loved one. This place was very impressive, they were obviously very knowledgeable about memory care, and the staff were all very friendly. However this facility is very expensive, and our loved one would have ended up in a shared room, which we did not think would work well.

We have found Silverado to be the perfect environment for my 88 year old father, who suffers from Dementia. The cottage style secured facility makes for a cozy, home-like environment. There are differing levels of care in each of the five cottages, including hospice. It is not too large and all of the rooms are close to the common areas. The staff is caring, friendly, and a nurse is available 24/7. The meals are flavorful and nutritious and include a variety of choices. There are lots of daily activities in the cottages, as well as trips out into the community. When the weather is nice, there are safe areas where residents can enjoy the outdoors. Care is given as needed and independence is encouraged. Great effort is taken to get to know the interests and likes of the residents. Family members are free to visit 24/7. It was a smooth transition and a great place for my father. We feel fortunate to have found this place.

I have enoyed them very much! Everything seems to be going very well! The staff are all very warm and gracious to myself, as well as my loved one. All of the options are ungodly expensive in my opinion, but I think this is a great value. Very good choice!

My husband has been loved and treated like a family member at Silverado. The staff is very hard working and aim to please us. I feel as though we are all a large community linked together to not only help the residents but also to help the families deal with understanding and support for the very difficult days we face. It is a very difficult job but I see many smiles on the faces of the help and the residents!! Our family is very comfortable when we visit and appreciate the facility! Thank you Silverado!

Silverado is specifically for memory loss which my Mom suffers from. We were delighted from the moment we walked in. Mom is being well taken care of. I have stopped by at many different times of the day, and her care is consistently good. I highly recommend Silverado to others who have loved ones with memory loss.

My dear husband has only been in Arden Courts since January 27th. So far, I am elated by the level of care he has received from their knowledgeable and caring staff. His room is always clean and comfortable. He enjoys all the activities; painting, singing, "name that tune", kickball in a sitting position, church, etc. The "four houses under one roof" setup is brilliant. It makes for a very safe and pleasant environment. Looking forward to warmer weather so we can take advantage of the numerous walking paths set in a park-like setting. I have joined my hubby for lunch and found the food to be ample and delicious. Their caring encompasses the entire family, not just the resident. I'm hopeful that Arden Courts will be his "forever home".

Overall they do a very good job here. The facility itself is always clean and well kept, and the staff are all very friendly and professional. I like that there is never any drama between the staff and residents, everything is handled calmly. They do seem a bit understaffed, sometimes residents are left unsupervised when they shouldn't be. The activities could also use a bit of livening up, they've always seemed a bit routine.

However, this was a VERY expensive community, and from what we saw most of the rooms were shared. If you wanted a private room the cost would have been even higher!

I am extremely happy with my choice of Silverado Brookfield. My wife and the other residents are being very lovingly and professionally cared for in my opinion. I've had opportunity to speak with many of the care givers and other staff members at Silverado, many who have been "in the business" for very many years. Most of them are quick to say that this is the best facility they have ever worked. When I ask why, the response generally includes their appreciation of the administrative staff, the general vision of the company, and the fact that they are so strongly encouraged to SHOW and EXPRESS their love of the residents. My wife has been treated as though she is family. I have been singing the praises of Silverado to family and friends alike, and hopefully will be able to continue to do so for a long time! :-) PS: The food is absolutely wonderful!

We were really impressed with this community, but it was too expensive for us. They had animals, companion dogs, the staff everybody, we met everybody. They even had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, and everything was included. It was quiet and had a central dining room, and encouraged employees children to be around since the seniors love children. With the dogs and the children around, it feels like a community there.

They are fabulous! They take good care of my mom and watch her very well. There's a small ratio of help to residents. They try to make everything more like a home than an institution. It is not at all cheap but it is worth every penny.

I liked this atmosphere of this community. It's a nice looking place and the staff do a great job of interacting with the residents and keeping them busy, they're very friendly. They appear to have a good variety of activities, although my loved one isn't able to participate.

There is not a wide variety of activities. They do have activities every day quite a bit of singing. I really like the staff they are very friendly and very acommodating. I liked the design of the building it's convenient to move around in, the whole building is accessible, most of the other places I went to only had a floor or a wing. Arden Courts is dedicated solely to mental and Alzheimers and there's easy access to the outside that is fenced in and she can go out whenever she wants, weather permitting.

They're wonderful, they are a great place. they have brought a big turn-around with my mom. I've had some issues with the nurse but but it seems to be resolved right away. Just miscommunication, on little things old med list etc. They don't let them lay around and do nothing. My mom has never complained about the food and that is something because she's kind of picky. I have asked her point blank about the food, how is it and she said, it's good! The only thing, and I know this is an issue with Alzheimers patients, I don't know when my mom is showering. Usually if she has an appointment I will tell them to give her a shower and they will. If they could have a little more communication. If it was communicated a little more to me then that would be good because I don't know how often she getting shower, and I wouldn't worry about it as much. I chose this one because it was recommended to us by the family lawyer.

This is one of the nicest communities I have seen for memory care. When I visited, I saw all residents active and participating in a group activity. The caregivers are very engaged with the residents. The place is very clean and very inviting. The residents all seemed very happy and were well groomed. There is a very nice outdoor courtyard area with a walking path that the residents have access to anytime during the day in nice weather. The outdoor area is safe and secure and has a nice walking path and seating areas. I would highly recommend visiting this community if you are looking for a place that specializes in memory care and provides a higher level of personal care.

I would never have learned of Lely Palms without the guidance and help from A Place For Mom. Lely is the best kept secret in Naples. I was impressed with the location, the facilities and most of all the staff; many of them have been there 10+ years, which is rare in this field. Everyone looked happy and content and Renee Gonzalez is the BEST. She is caring, compassionate and down to earth. I felt like she really cared about my mom and not just filling up a space. I highly recommend Lely.

Really liked the feel as soon as I walked in the door. Residents were out of there rooms and in the common area together. Dogs, ping pong, staff interacting. Lovely outside courtyard, playground for visiting kids. Money back guarantee during first 2 months.

I loved the homey atmosphere of the cottages. The best part are the animals. Residents may be allowed to keep their dog/pet with them! All the cottages are surrounded by fence allowing residents with dementia to walk the sidewalks and go in and out of unlocked doors. The staff is a joy to work with and interact with the residents and animals quite well. Everything is very clean. The cooks are excellent and serve great meals and you can dine with your loved one. You can even enjoy a cocktail together, which was the last special moment I shared with my Mom before she became critically ill and passed on a few days later. I am glad I have that memory. I highly recommend doing a tour of Silverado Senior Living in Lake Zurich, IL.
