So far I am enjoying it. They have a lot of activities. Everyone is very friendly, very nice, and chordal. I am very impressed with the Brookdale Apple Valley. It has been great. It's nice and clean. The residents are very welcoming. It has been a good experience. They are also very accommodating. They will help you out a lot. This is a very nice community.

Most importantly - my mother is very happy there. The staff are nice and attentive and there are activities that keep her entertained and busy each week. We both love the fact that there is "continuous dining" from 7:00am to 7:00 pm, which means one doesn't have to be on a strict schedule for breakfast lunch and dinner. When my mom first moved in, we really adored the nursing staff. They were great. The property sold to Brookdale after she had been there a short time and suddenly all the nursing staff that we knew began to leave. Many of these folks had been there for many years. That's been my only complaint. I believe they replaced seasoned, well liked nursing staff with young, less expensive, inexperienced people. Overall, we are still happy there.

Our experience with Brookdale has been so very good-we are a family spread across the country, and the staff from Sales were super helpful with info, availability, pricing-everything we could need to make our decision. Now our Dad is a Permenent Resident, and the staff continue to make themselves available for any questions, requests be they medical or lifestyle. I would highly recommend Brookdale to any family going through this often emotional process. The rooms are very nice, the food is great, and the medical care coordination simply wonderful. My Dad was not "on board" going into this and we see him starting to do better each day.

When our mom passed away last year, my siblings and I were faced with a dilemma. Dad wanted to remain at home, but the remote location made it difficult for him to do so safely. He soon complained of feeling isolated and became increasingly depressed. The harsh winter weather made it very difficult for him to leave the house, even to keep doctors' appointments. His health began to suffer and our distress increased. Finally, his condition reached a crisis point and he was hospitalized. Once he was released, he realized that he could not go home. Our search for temporary housing brought us to Emeritus at the Landing. Dad is well cared for by the dedicated staff. He takes his medication regularly and enjoys the special events and activities. He eats meals with his new friends, people who can empathize with him because they are in the same stage of life. We are happy that he is safe and comfortable.

very accommodating staff, really try to do everything they can to make you feel at home. lots and lots and lots of activities, very nice facility that is kept very clean and up to date.

I think they do an excellent job overall at Brookdale Broadway Mesa! Everyone here is very friendly, and they've handled any issues that have arisen very professionally. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they've got a lot to offer the people who live here! Also, Mom has had very good things to say about the food!

I think they are doing a great job. I don't have any concerns about how clean they keep it, or how attentive the staff is. I would like to see a little more socializing, but we loved the harpist they brought in. Richard who works there is a marvel.

I think they have been really trained to work both with the clients as well as the families to understand how to process the disease. They know when to call me when mom is having a tough time. Mom has been happy there and is in a good safe place.

The independent living, at town village is great. Our loved one needed a little more care than they could offer. The room was pretty small, and she didn't utilize all the things that were available there.

My experience with Emeritus at Rancho Solano has be great. The staff is wonderful, very friendly. They are very attentive to get needs. The food they serve is wonderful as well. They offer lots of activities and a shuttle for transportation to Dr. Appointments, shopping, luncheons, just all kinds of different activities. The luncheons are offered once a week. They have concerts on Tuesdays and Fridays. They offer lots of snacks in between meals. They offer 1-5 levels of care, and we have level 1 care which cost $750 more, but I feel it's worth it because they keep the apartment clean, and do the laundry once a week. I do wish the head nurse would dispense all medications instead of the techs. There was a mix up once with the meds, giving her a double dosage. Also I've asked them to check her blood pressure and weight once a day, but they will not. That's something I wished they would start doing. Also the AC in my loved ones apartment has been down for six weeks. Our move in was post poned 6 days due to a mix up as well. Besides those few things, I'm very satisfied with the facility.

My experience with Emeritus at Ridgeland Pointe has been good. The staff is friendly and very caring. I like them a lot and would recommend them to others. I'm just tickled pink and very happy with Emeritus at Ridgeland Pointe.

They were clean and the staff was friendly. There was a lot of one on one care, and they had a lot of group activities. They had a lot of things to keep the residents interested. They tried to get her working on the rehab. They have long term care, and assisted living as well as independent living. It was mostly the price that made this difficult for us. They really were a good place.

My mom is so happy to be there, I am so happy that she is there. The staff are really kind and engaging. They do respond, but I am not clear on what the expectation for response should be. Knowing what their goal response time would be would be nice. A checklist on move in would be nice, such as what to think about, and what some of the challenges are, things like transferring prescriptions, how to get certain things done, where to put in the work order, things like that. It's a lot of information for someone new to all of this, and someone who doesn't really know what to ask. When we first moved in there were a few concerns, and they were all over it, and very willing to work with us. My mom has been delighted with the food. The activities, just looking at the calendar, they know their audience, and my mom is just starting to get out and make friends, and getting involved. I liked that since the community sits aside of a golf course and has rolling hills, she thinks she is in the country, which was very appealing to her.

First thank you to Jodi - Our time time line for placing my day was very short. Jodi was quick to respond to our need and gave us great leads.The leads really helped our short time line. We were able to have dad assessed to determine the level of care he needed. We ended up at Brookdale Place at Harbor Crest. Thank you to Sandra for answering the many question we had as well as providing temporary housing for our dad. The places that were suggested by Jodi were all great with very help staffs. The main reasons for choosing Harbor Crest were the very clean and open environment, friendly and helpful staff members, former neighbors of my day who are now residents of Harbor Crest and the location of Harbor Crest is convenient for family members to visit.

Tanglewood Oaks was such a blessing for us. My mom liked it immediately and the staff have been very attentive to any questions we have had as a family. The facility is clean, the staff is very friendly. Tamela and Sonja are the best!!! The most important thing is that we can tell the residents are happy there. It's such a nice community.

We were really impressed with them. All of the staff were extremely friendly, and would always say hello. I would reccommend it to anybody it was great. We really thought they were a great place. I didn't see anything that I would have considered a concern. We never actually got the opportunity to move our loved one in, but we were going to, and they were great about it.

We looked at this place a lot before moving Mom there. She says she likes it a lot and the caregivers are very nice. The facility has very nice apartment-style assisted living rooms. Great view windows from all rooms. New enough to look modern and up to date. The staff are really outstanding in my opinion. Every resident has a call button they wear that when they push, the staff show up promptly. The folks at the front desk are observant about who comes and goes, knows each resident by name. The activities director Elaine is outstanding. They have had some ownership and leadership changes but they are not affecting quality of care with the staff. Dining room is very nice but they could upscale the chef's training just a bit.

It's very clean, that's one of the reasons we chose it. He's only been there a little bit and hasn't had a chance to get too involved with the activities, they do have onsite physical therapy though which is good. He seems to be happy with the food. The communication about appointments and transportation could be just a little better. All medications are required to be from a certain pharmacy and administered by the staff, which can get expensive. So far they've been very helpful and cooperative, if we have had issues, they are quick to reasure him and calm him down. We liked how clean it was and how friendly and proffessional the staff was, it was laid out well and has a very homey appeal. The price was reasonable. A Place For Mom made the whole process so much easier for us.

My mother moved out there because my brother and sister-in-law live out there and she wanted to be in a desert. As far as I know she's doing great. I haven't been able to get in touch with her lately because she's never in her room or when she is she has company. So she's happy and doing well and keeping busy. They used to be Merrill Gardens and I do know that they were recently bought out by Emeritus. Nothing is going to change except for where they get their food and their medications and things like that. I know it's a very nice place and I was very impressed with how everything is run there. It's wonderful. I love that place. The one thing I love most is, unlike everyone else, they have an open dining situation where the dining room is open from 7am to 7pm and I love that concept. I wish more would do that. I'm not sure if that is going to change now they've been bought.

She was here for one year at it was independent living. She just got to the point where she was wandering too much, it was a great facility, wonderful care givers, we were very very happy there but she was walking out the front door and it wasn't good for security reasons. We ended up hiring a care giver for her the last month or so because mom was just too fast. She'd be out the door before they could even get around the corner.
