Its a little early to write a full review as Mom has only been there a short time. However there are plenty of activities, large menu selection, friendly staff & neighbors. My husband & I are ready to go.

My only regret is that we did not move mother to town village sooner. Staff and residents were very attentive and made her feel very welcome. It was always so good to know she was safe and secure in a very healthy environment and that help could be there for her within seconds. I recommend it to anyone I know and infect and considering moving there when my husband and I are ready for Independent living.

This was in our top two. The staff was friendly and they seemed okay, but, there were a few reasons we chose the other one over this one. This was not a dedicated memory care community. They have a memory care building, but they aren't only memory care, the other place was. This was also just a little more run down, it could use some upgrading, maybe some new carpet or fresh paint. It wasn't very open and they didn't have as large of an area to roam. They also didn't have many men there, it was mostly women.

My Mother lives there... its expensive, but she loves it. I'm somewhat impressed. But if she's happy that's all that matters to me. I will say this, they're food is amazing! And they're always including the families in events.

It took me over 1 year to decide it was best for my parent's wellness and quality of life to move into assisted living (and out of my home). I had visited Horizon Bay NRH years before in consideration for a place for my grandmother a few years back, but had not thought of it again until it was suggested to me. I made an appointment, toured and I just knew this was the right place. The staff is friendly, attentive to the residents needs, dining is wonderful. Honestly, I was ready to move in :)

This used to be Merrill Gardens but I just didn't like their memory care. It was very small and it felt a little hospital-like. It was clean until she showed us an apartment and that wasn't her fault but the lady had a dog and it just reaked of urine and I told her too. I couldn't believe she chose to show us that apartment but it didn't affect me at all because the rest of the place was fairly clean and before all of that I didn't like it because of the memory care, it felt too claustrophobic.

Mom has been there a few weeks now and everything is going great. Everyone is very friendly. They are including her in activities and she seems to be doing well. She enjoys the food and I enjoy the feeling that she is safe and in a good place.

That was very nice but once again it was out of out price range. My dad went to see that two or three times and his comment was that there were all these sick people in the hallways. It was a lot of people parked in wheelchairs. I think they have a lot memory care patients there. I had no problem with it except for the expense part of it.

My mother is there and she is perfectly happy. I think the food could be better. It should be tastier than it is. Although they are working on their dining room, still their food could be better. Personally, I think they should have a medical person on staff for emergencies. My mother wasn't feeling good and it was a weekend and we had to call 911. I think that would be a really good thing for them to do. If they have a doctor on staff then maybe the people who want that service could have that service. I think that's a fair statement and I think it's important. Even though it's independent living, someone should be there. I think that would make all the difference. Maybe more people would want to move there.

This was a Merrill Gardens when I visited it. The rooms were bigger but they had the old style AC that is big and noisy. It was not as modern and they didn't have any grounds for the folks to walk around or do anything. They has assisted living as well as independent living so it felt more like an end than a new beginning. For my father, he's not ready for that. He's just ready to give up some of the maintenance of living alone in a house or apartment but he's not ready for assisted living.

The big plus about Merrill Garden is that you can eat your meals whenever you would like. The apartments I saw were gorgeous. Management was. Very courteous when I toured, and I did not feel any pressure whatsoever.

As a new resident I have observed the functioning of the staff at Merrill Gardens At Dunwoody and rate them as always friendly and helpfull. I would like to converse with Kitchen Staff to discuss recepies and cooking methods in a friendly face to face informal meeting.

This community is in a country club type setting. The food is ok, I had previously had the beef stew which was ok but the fish with almonds I had with steamed asparagus was really good. The community is very clean and just really beautiful. It really is pleasing to the eyes. They were able to offer us a private room for a semi-private price. They have had previous activities where they took them to a lake but since haven't really heard of anything like that anymore. I would like to see them keep the residents a little more active and engaged. Overall we are satisfied with them and would recommend Emeritus at Rancho Solano.

We have had some issues with Emeritus and are not pleased. Have tried to fix the issue and they just pass the blame back and will not take responsibility even after we have tied up the loose ends. We had chose this community because it was the only assisted living community in the area we were looking. We are disatisfied with our situation and will be removing loved one from this community.

My mother, who is 92, has lived at Freedom Pointe for over a year. The facility is pretty, clean and the employees are warm and caring. They have been responsive to my requests for most things pertaining to my mother. Mother complains about the food, but I can't verify that complaint. I think it is mostly being tired of eating the same meals, over and over. This could happen anywhere. My mother does not take advantage of ANY of the activites, so I can't rate them.

Food is really bad. Apartment is fine. Good layout and size. Some Staff could use a little more training

Management staff very business like, available to answer questions. Seems the focus is to keep the rooms full. Care staff are courteous and helpful in all areas of need. Sometimes a little slow to respond to a call, but there are a lot of people to care for. Medical staff very good. A lot of activities daily. Good at posting them and plenty of participation. Food is plentiful, three meals each day, but available anytime on request. Each meal lasts for an hour and a half, plenty of time to arrive in the dining room. Meals also can be delivered to your room. Each room is cleaned once a week. The staff will provide laundry service once a week. I only saw a one bedroom apartment, the room mom was in. It was roomy and laid out well with a small kitchenette. Overall opinion, one to ten, I would say seven. Mom passed on [Date Removed].

Since they are short-staffed and everyone is overtaxed, Some things do fall by the wayside once in awhile, but there are some things that are well done and there are some really good people that work there. I wish I could remember all their names to highlight them. Sometimes it takes a while to get the rooms cleaned. Sometimes it takes a while for the laundry to come back. Supposed to be a quick turnaround within a day or so, but sometimes it does take longer and things often disappear. When my mother first joined Evergreen back in [Date Removed], the food was pretty good. She used to praise the meals almost everyday. Now things are getting less and less fresh. I'm sure that it's due to budget cuts or supplier changes or something. I will highlight the activities. Kathryn does a wonderful job with this. They have music sometimes two to three times a week in the afternoon before dinner. My mother enjoys those very much. She also enjoys the book club service that they provide. Many of the AIDS are wonderful. I know they're doing a hard job and so I do my best to say thank you to them and show my appreciation for them every time I see them.

3 1/2 mostly because of the poor food offerings. My mother has ordered groceries because nothing tastes good and she was sick to her stomach twice so far. I really wish the quality and options were much much better

Brookdale was bought out by Pegasus so I'm hoping things improve. The washing machines and elevators were always broken with Brookdale. Once they forgot to pick my mom up after a Drs appointment. However, my mom loves it there!
