Legacy at Cimarron is concierge living. The facility is beautiful and upscale and they seemed like they had great security as well. There were a lot of activities provided for the residents. It was just not what we were looking for.

If I had to do it over again, I would not choose this entity. They are understaffed, and they can't really provide up-to par services on a daily basis.

Yesterday we met with one of the directors because there was only one person taking care of the 14 residents that are in the memory care unit. They are having some staffing issues so we are trying to be patient with them. Unfortunately if things do not change, we will have to find another place to move our loved one to.

The place looks nice. It's clean and attractive from the outside as well as in the hallways and all public areas. But housekeeping, which the residents are paying for, is very poor. The person who comes in to clean is in and out within five minutes. Floors are not swept, towels are not taken, sheets are not changed. And then I have to clean when I come to visit. I would say the front staff is not terribly friendly or inviting, just okay. They are not at all encouraging of questions. They seem annoyed if you ask them anything, which is not good. When the intake process occurs, it doesn't match with the results the resident actually experiences. You come in at one cost, and they say if you need additional help it will cost more and may go down again later. But in reality, it has just gone up, to the point that we're considering moving her out. They were not attending to her showering / bathing at first There are a lot of gaps in communication, and the care could be a lot better. These things need to be addressed. When residents press their call buttons, that button needs to be able to determine where exactly a resident is so they can be helped in an acceptable amount of time. Communication with the residents seems to be unclear as well. Meal delivery has been very poor, and they completely missed hers multiple times. It's very expensive. She feels okay there in general. It's a good location close to businesses. But there are a lot of glitches and miscommunications, and they don't seem willing to reach out and make things better.

The quality of care would be much higher if the facility was properly staffed, unfortunately I think that they are grossly understaffed at the moment which is affecting a lot of things.

They were very friendly, but almost too friendly. The lady giving tour seemed like she was trying too hard. Ultimately my loved one didn't like it here.

I think overall they are just having some staffing shortages which is affecting everything.

When your loved one goes in, just make sure to be an advocate and visit regularly. It is very inexpensive, but it is a nice small facility with easy access and is very clean. My loved one has a shared room and residents often seem to be left with a lot of unsupervised time due to staffing shortages. The staff are very friendly and always take my concerns seriously. It is not a nursing home, it is assisted living with memory care it is better for people who are more ambulatory. We are satisfied because of the location, price, and the fact we are able to oversee it. Everyone looks to be so happy and well dressed, the residents all look very content.

I toured with my aunt looking for a place for my mom. When we walked out after our tour we both just had a gut feeling that this was not the right fit for her, but could not put our finger on it as to why.

Our family had an in person tour and it kind of seemed like the saying - one flew over the coo-coos nest, it seemed unorganized and everyone just wondering around. It is a newer and nice facility and to there credit we thought they were very understaffed. Even the manager who gave us the tour said a few workers called in that day and that it was just a free for all day.

The location was new and bright. The Sales Director didn't know much of the community.

The location is excellent, the services and helpfulness of the staff members have been great. The reason the cleanliness got a 1, was because the first month our loved one moved in there was a huge bed bug problem. It traveled from other apartments to our loved ones rooms and on going.

No one in front to welcome me except a friend that I knew emptying her mother's apt. Director came with only a notepad. Later brought a menu and pricing with brochure. Didn't seem like as much resident activity. Still seating solo in dining room - choices on menu with chef there for 20+ years. Studio shown was on 3rd floor, seemed smaller than others but had a nice view of mountains, bath bench in shower. They had an activity room and having bingo soon there, also a beauty parlor. They were in process of doing some renovating and painting.

We toured this community and the atmosphere was not very good. It just seemed sad.

It is a nice facility it is really pretty and well decorated. We loved the care givers they are very sweet and kind. We do think they are starting to bring back the activities for the residents, however we are paying a lot and we just are not seeing our money's worth.

Facility is nice & located on acrg. Staff is helpful & cordial. Food is subpar & likely because mgmt is trying to make money instead of pleasing the residents. Beans & cabbage served constantly! Poor communication reg events and changes. Prices lower than most places, rooms are larger than most. But, food & tv is very important to the elderly. As far as the satellite service they provide, service does NOT have a guide to show resident what is coming on at a certain time? It's an okay place if you want to supplement the food you eat by preparing it in your apartment &, spending the extra money to get a satellite provider that cost you extra, just so you'll have a guide to see the programming schedule. Not every place is perfect, I know that, & not everyone has the same taste in food...but, you've got to make sure it's edible.....& that YOU as management or an employee would eat there everyday too...

They could use improvements with their nursing care.

This community did not fit my loved ones' needs. There was heavy pressure from the sales team and it was very obnoxious.

It is a nursing home environment (as opposed to more of an independent living with around-the-clock care), which is not what we wanted. I believe it's more for people who have daily assistance needs, as opposed to someone living independently with the assistance provided. There were only a few staff members who were truly caring, and the ones who were not so caring made my loved one's time there miserable. I couldn't go inside to visit, but the room was cleaned regularly, and I could see form outside the window it looked clean. We were disappointed in how very little activities they offered, especially considering where our loved one is now, where they have things going on every day. Everything on The Landing's website looks great, and when we got there, it was just not what we thought it would be. I know it's Covid right now, but still. And the food was just awful. For the amount of money that we spent, we didn't feel we were getting what we paid for. Memory care patients are on a spectrum of functioning, and our loved one felt like they treated her as if she had more issues than she did. It's probably right for a some people, it just wasn't right for us.
