My loved one was previously a resident at Glenwood Village of Overland Park. They were very accommodating. The move in and move out process were okay.

Most of the staff members working at the community are great (kind and supportive) but then there are some who are not. Communication is not the greatest.

If the resident is very mobile and independent, they will likely have a good experience. A resident requiring very much assistance is not likely to have a good experience.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Legacy at Santa Fe. The care staff, housekeeping staff and front desk staff are all wonderful. Communication with the family is poor.

I found the facility average after working with three other relatives needing similar services. They all have issues and need a strong advocate to support the patient. We selected this facility because of its location and because it had an available studio unit.

I would say that The Legacy is very good for those needing a lot of assistance. Make sure that is what your loved one wants/needs. For example, the residents don't seem to manage any of their own money, so cost of outings get charged to monthly tab. No shopping trips. Simple activities. We picked it because of location and the beauty of the building and views. That wasn't enough to keep Mom happy.

The staff (as in the workers) are great. The management is horrible. Communication is horrible. I can't figure out how a facility that is this poorly run can stay in business. They certainly have no problem lying to you about what they have done or will do. Classic case of over-promise under-deliver.

Good social schedule, my mother really enjoyed the trips. Nice facility, good food. Regularly short staffed, often no response from staff to phone calls and emails. Billing system is not very good.

The nursing staff is nice. They can't seem to keep cleaning staff. The grounds are not kept. Lots of dead trees and plants. Need additional help in medicine distribution. The meals served have minimum nutritional value.

My loved one is currently a resident at Gig Harbor Court and his experience at this facility overall has been okay so far. The move in process was good. However, they do need to disclose the large move in deposit to people, which was a big surprise to us. Also, the family should have had a tour of the facility prior to move in. The housekeeping is spotty, at best. Same with the laundry.

Cordata Court generates a joyful atmosphere for loved ones. It's clean, offers activities, transportation and nice sized rooms. My sibling uses a wheel chair, she has laminate flooring, hallways are wide and elevators serve her well. The staff is friendly

The experience has been ok...initially when you go on the tours they make it sound like they have everything under the sun and they have people at your beck and call all the time. But when we have had to use the call button, it can take up to 20 minutes or more to receive help. There are not enough staff at all. Cleanliness seems to be adequate. Everyone we have encountered has been very nice. The quality of care has been great but the lack of availability of care has been awful. When she pushes the button, help rarely comes in a timely manner. There never seems to be enough employees at all for help. The meals are ok but they often say things like "homemade cookie" but they are clearly not homemade. They are always understaffed during meal time so it's hard to get service. The activities seem to be ok but our nana doesn't really participate in a lot of them. I think this is due to lack of staff so no one really lets her know about them or encourages her to go. I don't find the value to be a fantastic value for the cost. They promised a lot of stuff up front like rides to dr appts but it's incredibly difficult to schedule. Friendly staff, safe and clean community. Close proximity to shopping, doctors offices etc. areas of improvement needed in staffing levels and speed of service

Everyone in the community is kind. There are some services that caregivers are supposed to give that don’t go out. I don’t like the service that the dining room gives. I’m hoping they can change it to be more effective and have servers be courteous to the residents.

My brother picked it based on cost, location, and a visit.Decent place, some shortcomings (food is just ok, but not bad), a bit short staffed, staff seem to genuinely care, renovations underway that are very slow, but improvements have been made as a result.

My parents have been living at Three Forks for almost 3 months, but they signed their contract at the end of December. We convinced Mom & Dad to move because Three Forks is Assisted Living not Nursing home. Sadly, this place seems like a stereotypical nursing home. Some of the halls smell like urine. The public toilets are unkept. Housekeeping is not regular. The food is sub standard. The bus for outings has been out of service so there have been no offsite activities as promised. Most of the residents can’t walk without assistance anyway, so perhaps allowing these activities might involve logistics that Three Forks can’t address because of chronic understaffing. There is no front desk receptionist to manage questions/problems by residents and their families. There is an MD who comes once a week, but it is unclear how to set up an appointment with him. We are very disappointed with Three Forks. The best and only bright spot: Staff is genuinely friendly and caring!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is beautifully appointed and neat. However, almost nothing is provided in the monthly rate besides room and board. Residents have to provide their own paper goods and all toiletries. No one is responsible for hearing aids and glasses besides the resident in memory care who often can't be responsible for them themselves. Thus, expensive hearing aids are soon lost. They need more activities to combat boredom, more supervision and exercise opportunities, and the outdoor space needs awnings for shade and swings.

We toured Whispering Winds of Apple Valley when looking for a facility for our loved one. The people were snotty, not really friendly, and they didn't have transportation for the residents, so it was a no for us.

I am the son of a resident at Ridgmar Place. When we first placed our mother there, the dining experience was great. Linke tablecloths, the food was great, there were alternatives if you did not like the evening selection, and you were allowed all the food you could eat. Big Sunday brunch buffett that obviated the need to serve Sunday dinner. WHAT A CHANGE! Now, the portions are skimpy, and residents are flat out told NO SECONDS. NO Sunday brunch, and they also do not serve evening meals on Saturday OR Sunday, only lunch. This food situation is entirely unacceptable, and will only change if enough residents/relatives complain to management. Needless to say, the pricing continues an upward spiral, for less and less service.

Our family had an in person tour with North Point Village and we thought the community was really nice but the rooms were extremely small and there were only four bathrooms per building. Our loved one would have gotten lost tying to find hers.
