ITS NOT ALL INCLUSIVE The base rate of a studio rm. is $3890 plus you have to add the levels of care. The base rate of 1 bed room is 4650 plus you have to add the levels of care. The contact is month to month and can get out of the contract if you give a 30 day notice. The montly payment will increase annually: 3% - 5%.

Our loved one started out in assisted living which was awful, and now our loved one is in memory care. The care services on the memory care side are a five out of five, but for assisted living they would be a one out of five. From our understanding the memory care does a better job with activities then assisted living, however we are just not able to go in and see exactly what is going on. We do believe the manager on the memory care side is doing her absolutely best, and doing a wonderful job.

We chose The Farrington at Tanglewood because we could not afford the previous facility and a friend suggested this facility and the location so I could visit often. Some of the staff here were not up to our standards and I had a very hard time getting people to call me back. We had a camera in his room and we were able to see everything going on. I did hear that the food was good a while ago, but it was not the best when my husband was here. The owner of the company was very good to me and listened to my concerns but overall, we did not have the best experience here.

My dad just moved in and seems happy but logistically this place is tough. They say his dog can visit and then say no. They say family can visit him outside socially distanced and then say no. I sent them banking info for payment but then they asked for a check and when it was delayed by the post (there is a pandemic), they asked for a debit card which I gave them and still they haven’t taken the payment. They also couldn’t tell me when home health first visited (shouldn’t they know that?). It’s a stressful place for family.

Some caregivers are really caring and concerned about my loved ones well being. There have been time when we first moved in, that I had to help my loved one to bathroom because the caregivers were late. We chose this community because it had a nice spacious apartment and they had the continuum of care and we knew we would need that someday. The food is moderate and fluctuates. The price at the time was right but now it has become way overpriced I would suggest that you visit your loved ones as often as can.

I’m not crazy about this one but they get good ratings. It’s a nice size and has a great activity list for all abilities. The rooms were just okay. Whole place needed a good scrub.

Don’t plan on being able to reach your loved one more than 50% of the time. You will just have to pray they are ok if you live far away and can’t see for yourself.

We were originally happy with this facility, two years ago, but have become frustrated with Friday night calls regarding needed medications, finding out we were paying for items not being included in her care, and the cleanliness. The past several months the place has begun to stink and it has gotten to the point I can barley walk down the halls upstairs.

Smelt of urine, carpets were very dirty.

Even tho it was set up like the other Brookdales, it seemed more run down and the residents that I seen seem to require more care and not as socialble.

Not intersted in independent to assisted living facility at this time. Also, not interested in all inclusive: 3 meals, laundry, housekeeping. Too expensive for my budget. 1 Bedroom very small and not enough natural light. 2 Bedroom better but too expensive.

During the short time that my loved one was there, majority of everything was pretty good. The staff was great, outstanding in fact. They worked with me to set things up to get my loved one established there. They went out of their way to make it work. However, there were things that didn’t necessarily meet expectations. My loved one was not impressed by the food, not impressed by the level of maintenance in terms of upkeep (such as paint and carpet, those types of things), and the staff there was great and working very hard with limited resources. It seems that somebody in corporate was restricting their available funds for staff and maintenance. In general the facility overall is great and the staff too, they just need a little bit more funding for staff and resources.

Food was not up to par. They required assigned seating for meals which turns their eating experience from a restaurant into "I'm being managed in an institution". I really didn't like it and neither would my mom and dad. They did not have any 2 bedroom units available. Other than that, it was nice.

I toured Brookdale while looking at options for my mother, and while it is a very nice community, I found that it was too big and busy for my mother. I felt that she would prefer a smaller place with more of a homey comfort, and I was afraid she’d get lost in Brookdale.

I have put my mother in this community and I'm 50/50 on the care she is getting. The caregivers are doing the basic needs for my wife. My wife has IBS and there are limited options for food if you can't eat what they are serving she gets a turkey sandwich and that gets old. The place is clean. The management is as good as good as it gets. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I'm looking for other options now as I write this review.

When I was looking for a home for my mom, this is one of the facilities that I toured and I'm less than impressed. The staff did not appear to be happy to be there, and this was on more than one occasion. Sometimes people have bad days, but the staff looks like they just don't want to be there. The facility is large and overwhelming. The hallways are long and narrow and for someone that's changing environments, it seems like it would be hard to adjust to. It feels closed in and not at all welcoming. There's not much that's bright and cheery about this home.

We did go to this community for a tour, we first met with the salesperson who showed us pictures and brochures, answered some of our questions and then went over the pricing with us. That is when we decided that we really did not need to take the tour as the price was not within my sister-in-law's budget.

Brookdale Apple Valley was a nice tour. The staff was friendly and helpful when they gave the tour. It was not as immaculate as what we were looking for. And we needed something that would be a better fit for our budget.

My wife has recently made the move into this community and so far she has been satisfied with how things have been going for her. She has made the transition easily and has made some friends since she moved in with the other residents. One of her complaints would have to be that the meals need improvements. They can not seem to ever get her order right and have had complications with the quality of the food. I also am disappointed that some how the staff have managed to break three of her hearing aids that she needs.
