She was here for one year at it was independent living. She just got to the point where she was wandering too much, it was a great facility, wonderful care givers, we were very very happy there but she was walking out the front door and it wasn't good for security reasons. We ended up hiring a care giver for her the last month or so because mom was just too fast. She'd be out the door before they could even get around the corner.

They were in the right location which made it convenient for our family. They have a range from independent living to memory care. We needed two different type of care for our loved one and they had availability for both. They have age in place so if you need more care you can still within the community and still get those services. We are pleased with them and would recommend it to anyone.

They could use more activities to keep the residents occupied. They were conveniently located for our family. They offered us a reduce rate. They were better priced then comparable communities offering the same services. Upper management was very responsive and would handle any issues that would arise. Overall we were pleased with them.

They could use more activities. Most residents just stay in there rooms so the activities are not as good. The food I would rate a 4/5. The rooms are very spacious. I absolutely love the setting; there is lots of trees and outdoor places to sit with rocking chairs. The grounds are immaculate. Of all the places I have seen or heard of this is the best value for comparable communities, unless you want to pay a ridiculous amount of money. The staff is very helpful. They keep the community clean. They have laundry service and provide 3 meals a day. If you do not like one of the two entrees there is also a side menu that you can choose from. You can substitute different things to suite your needs. They also allow pets, it does cost extra but they allow you to bring them.

Whenever I visit my dad his apartment is clean and the dining room seems clean whe I eat with him. They're very friendly. I like the value for what I'm getting but I don't have much to compare it to. This is the only assisted living he's been in. It gives us peace of mind. He doesn't smell like he used to and he's gaining weight. When I visit on the weekends they try to get him engaged in the activites which he wasn't doing before. The activities are varied. There is exercise everyday and wii stuff to get them involved in movement. We've been very happy with it.

Our loved one really liked the community. So far they are happy at Freedom. Our loved one is adjusting very well; they are eating good and getting along with the staff and residents. The offered a discount for a limited time. Studio with several extra care services we are paying around $2,500 a month with the discount. After the discount expires the price will go up monthly.

Our experience with Freedom Pointe Overland Park has been very good. The main reason we chose Freedom Pointe is the location. I have been several times and eaten several meals here on a scale of one to five I'd rate the meals a four. I would recommend Freedom Pointe to other who are looking for their loved ones.

We chose this community because of the care services they provide, the cleanliness of the community, all the activities they have for the residents. We talked to some residents and they really seemed happy. We looked at 10 different communities so we had plenty to compare it to. We are really happy with Merrill Gardens and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

(Value Not Rated) Emeritus was very conveniently located for me to be able to visit. I like the community and it seemed like it was a good community. The community is clean and the staff seemed to know what they are doing. I am very pleased with Emeritus.

Town Village is a very nice community with really friendly staff. We chose it because of the friendliness of the staff and the recommendations of the residents that live there. We got a chance to talk to residents and they just seem very happy and like they enjoy being here. Only issue we have had is mainly just a timing issue with some of the staff. We needed them and they happened to be off. But that is a small timing issue on our part. Overall we are very happy with Town Village and would recommend it to anyone.

A primary concern for us was that the facility would be able to meet my mom's dietary needs. Merrill Gardens has been able to meet them very well. The staff is well trained, very friendly, and professional.

It's a beautiful facility. Absolutely no smells which is a big deal for me. Spacious hallways. Not just the standard size. So neat and tidy. What I didn't like, nor do I know if this is standard for all these assisted living facilities is the "community fee" that is required to be paid before signing papers. It's like they waited until the very last moment to tell me. So basically, I already said no to some other facilities and was making all the plans for moving my father here when at the last moment, I was hit with a ..... oh ya, and there is a hefty community fee to pay. Never was it mentioned. Ever. But in addition to that, a couple days later when I was actually signing all the paperwork and things were being explained more in detail, I was told for each delivery of food to his room would be an extra fee of $[removed](I think it was $[removed]). So up until this time, I was told several times that meals could be delivered to his room if he didn't feel up to being wheeled to the dining room. At no time did anyone ever mention that there would be an additional fee for the delivery from the dining room. So instead of wheeling him to the dining room (which we were paying extra for), just to pick up his meal and deliver it was the extra fee. So if he wanted 2 meals a day that would be $[removed](or whatever it was) or even 3 meals a day ... well you know where this is going. That can really add up. So then I said okay then, I'll go to the dining room and pick up his meals as I will be there a lot with him. I was told the fee will still be charged as it's a "to-go" order. This was really excessive. And to tell me only on the day of signing the paperwork was not only very inconsiderate and rude, but very unprofessional and tasteless.

the staff in general is great. I feel like the sales rep over promised but fell short and then He quit. I feel like he failed us. I also feel like the medicine administration and pharmacy change was a bit of a struggle and frustrating. Again, promises that fell short. But once we got on the same page, [name removed] was our champion and [name removed], too. The activities keep my loved one happy and going. Her apartment is cute and cozy. The food is great. I am VERY happy with how they communicate with me about my loved one. They are top tier communicators. [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed]!! Love them!!

My Dad's experience there was good. Sometimes he wasn't always happy with the caregivers. But my Dad is not always easy to please. He enjoyed going to the dining room and got to meet a few people he enjoyed. He especially liked the soups there to eat. My Dad is almost completely blind so there were activities he could not participate in. He enjoyed Tuesday afternoons, cocktail hour or "old fashions" as he called it. He tended to isolate though and be depressed. Staff always tried to encourage him. [name removed] and the 2 main nurses there were especially kind and caring to my Dad. His room was a good size and very nice bathroom with rails and nice safe shower. Cordata Court is a good place to be especially for those who can be somewhat independent yet in their life.

Staff/care is very good. Activities, food good. Cleanliness is good. Room is old and in need of updating. Work orders submitted are slow to be addressed.

The food was really good. With the care services my mom was difficult so it is hard to judge and she did not participate in the activities.

The facility is in very good condition, both interior and exterior. The landscaping loooks very good, including the interior courtyard. All the staff are friendly, open to questions and suggestions. The care staff are very concerned about providing good care and assistance. The food is often prepared to order, is tasty and served hot. At times the service in the dining room is slow, which may be attributable to staff shortage or backup in food preparation. Residents are friendly to each other and are sociable. Rooms are adequate in size, but compact. Bathrooms are roomy, closet is large.

I have not been at the facility when the doctor or nurses make rounds to check on residents. The wait staff in the dining room are great & front desk is helpful. As to activities, the list they have looks good, but my friend who we placed there hasn't really participated much, so I can't judge fairly. Overall, it seems to be a good fit for my friend & all of us (her tribe) feel good about her being there; she's safe, well-fed, checked on regularly & the location is easy for us all to get to from all over the metroplex.

The staff is great, they're very friendly & give updates on your loved ones (he's in assistant living). The food use to be better in the beginning but then I've heard they've been through several different cooks. The place is clean & well kept. They even have a support group I am a part of. I love all the activities, movies, & outings they do. I was a little disappointed & surprised that the rent went up $550 in just 6 months of dad living there. And they said it'll go up every year. Hopefully dad can continue to live here after several years.

My mom is very happy there. The staff is friendly and very good with my mom , who has dementia but is living in the assisted living area. I have not had any issues with her living conditions since moving in last February. I would give a 4 only for the reason being her room could use better sweeping under the bed and in her closet(dust bunnies). Yes, I would definitely recommend the place overall. So many good qualities about the place!!
