Its just been a few months so its hard to say much. Its a lovely place, residents appear to be happy. Staff seems attentive to residents and there is plenty of help, aides, nurses, etc. Physical therapists come a few times a week. Lots of activities. Rooms are nice big airy with a small kitchenette (refrig, microwave, sink and cabinets) so residents can have snacks, cereal etc. There is room for small bed, table and chairs, dresser, nightstand and loveseat or chair or recliner. They can have a coffee pot as long as it shuts off automatically so they are not entirely dependent on going to meals, but are required to go to two a day to make sure they are eating. Beauty salon on site as well.

I visited Legacy with my mother as part of a fact-finding mission about what is available in the west Houston market. We were both very impressed with the rooms, the communal areas, and the friendliness of the staff. Yes, the community is in its early stages of building its clientele, but I have no doubt that it will be a well sought after location for its potential residents.

Because of the changeover to an new name, things are a little rocky but are improving. Staff is very supportative and very happy here.

The facility was beautiful, very clean, and bright. The care givers I saw interacting with folks were very caring, concerned, and giving. It is a very large facility, but still friendly and engaging. The pricing is a bit higher than residential care facilities,but that's to be expected. It seems to me that the caregiving could be more concentrated--there are probably more caregivers per resident here than in a residential care facilities--but that's just an impression.

I suspect that most people who are planning to go to Brookdale or a place like it are excited about it as there will be activities for them, meals prepared, etc. The gentleman I was working with to potentially get set up there at Brookdale Ridgmar was not excited or looking forward to it, so we ended up not going with it. From what I saw though it seemed like a decent facility with decent staff and I'm sure it would be great for many seniors looking to go that route.

We're very happy with the facility and their staff. We were impressed by what we saw on the tour, and our loved one selected this facility for himself after seeing it in person.

Very pleased. Food is good with good food service. Social activities good for younger (< 90) individuals. Staff friendly.

So far my loved one really seems to be enjoying himself here! The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they have a lot of different services they provide to their residents. My loved one has had good things to say about the food, and likes how diligent they are when it comes to the room cleaning and laundry services.

The care we've gotten is very good. It's a very nice place and my mom feels at home. The food is good there. They do have a lot of activities that I see going on when I visit. From the time we walked in, everything was very comfortable. It wasn't so modern that my mother wouldn't associate with it..it works with her. It feels like home for her. I have been very happy so far and they've been very accommodating.

Brookdale did a fine job. There was never a concern with the cleanliness, or the staff. They were responsive and attentive. My loved one had an injury and just turned out to need more care than we thought originally so this turned out not to be the best fit. But that was in no way because of the community, they were great!

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. This looked like a very nice place, and is definitely somewhere we would have considered. It was clean and well kept, and the staff we met were all very friendly.

Overall things have gone very well at Brookdale Broadway Mesa. It left a very good impression on us after our tour, it seemed much friendlier and homier than some of the larger communities we looked at. However, we did have a bit of an issue after moving our loved one in. Brookdale has a resident ambassador program where a current resident will show a new resident around and get them introduced, but apparently this got overlooked for the first few weeks our loved one was there. When we informed them they were extremely apologetic, and they got things fixed immediately. Other than that everything has been wonderful, and our loved one has settled in well. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff have all been very friendly.

She seems to be very pleased. The only complaint about the food is that it isn't always hot when she gets it. They have two or three buildings that all come together in one dining room, so maybe they could work on that. There are activities that she joins in on. So far she seems pretty happy.

They take real good care of my dad. From the moment we took the tour we were very impressed. It was our first stop and no further stops were needed. If there are ever any issues, they let me know and we work through them together. Two thumbs up!

Overall, a great place for Dad to live. There are not as many CNA's on duty as we were led to believe by the sales person. However, Dad is not in jeopardy because of this. The food is not the best tasting and I have concerns about the nutritional aspects, as well. Everyone working here is very friendly and tries to be helpful. They go out of their way to try to include the residents in as many activities as possible.

For the most part we have been pleased. We have had some instances with some items being stolen. From what I understand that happens everywhere. The care, we have been pleased with. The facility overall is very clean, but the housekeeper does an average job. There are plenty of activities, and the food is okay, it's not home made, but the portions are adequate. There are some strange combinations that they serve, like a biscuit and scrambled eggs and crab cakes, that's a little different for dinner. They are in the middle of changing hands from Emeritus to Brookdale.

She happy, and she is doing something every time I come to see her, and she has made friends, but she's not feeling quite at home yet. It's the only place that had no dirt, and no smells, it's very clean. We love the staff, we are constantly getting updates and how she is doing. It's affordable for people that have to pay out of pocket, and it's one of the best places in the area. We looked at one place that was more expensive, and people think it's better because it's more, but this was a better fit. She actually loves the food, everything, it's never come cold. We are very happy with them.

Everyone is very friendly. This is my first experience with an assisted care facility so I don't have a lot to compare it to. My mother says that everyone is always very mindful of her, very willing to help, very kind. For those who participate, the activities are great. There are five or six activities every day, some in the facilities, some outside. In house they have Wii bowling, five card draw poker, exercise classes, bingo, scheduled trips to Balboa Island and Glen Ivy Health Spa. They have movie nights, with popcorn. They all know her mother's name, which is wonderful. If she forgets how to turn on the washing machine, all she has to do is ask for help. People are always saying hi, how are you, can I help you with anything. She is at level 1 care, which is the minimum. But when it comes to needing help with anything or asking questions, they are great. Also, the food is excellent. I did visit other facilities. The kitchen at Emeritus is open 7 AM until 7 PM. She doesn't have to rush down there for a meal. I think they've done a great job of trying to make it a home, as distinct from a dormitory like atmosphere. I'm very pleased.
