New Perspective Senior Living

Seemed to accommodate only assisted living. Would prefer Independent Living until spouse requires assisted--at that time it would not be necessary to move to another apartment.

[Removed], very pleasant. Smaller rooms compared to what we have seen but larger 1 bedroom floor plan will work. Didn't see many residents out and about. Close to Dr. [Removed] office and CC if and when Dr. needs to be changed. Van is accessible anytime when available to visit [Removed]. Mom and Dad would schedule. No gym or work out area. Can give own meds; they provide housekeeping and linen changes; can pay extra for laundry. If higher level of care is needed in the future; there is no need to have to move; Nursing care comes to them. Dr.[Removed] is PCP on staff, but van takes patients to Dr. Waters. Satellite TV a concern; not cable. Offers Aging in Place

We went on a tour here and the staff was nice and helpful. They answered all of our questions. It was gorgeous and a brand new building. So she would have had an apartment that nobody has ever lived. It was just too big for mom she gets winded easy so it wasn't a good fit. I would recommend this community if you have no mobility issues.

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Aunt. The reason why we did not pick this community is that they had a large initial community fee that is nonrefundable. The marketing director was very helpful and informative. They answered all of our questions and gave us clear answers. It’s a very nice facility and the staff was friendly too. I would recommend it to other families.

While looking at some options in the area, this location seemed like a better fit for my love one. She seems to be doing ok here, but it would be nice if there was a point person. If I were to ask someone how my love one is doing they would just say “oh your mom is really nice”. Well, I already knew that and by that it just seems like they don’t necessarily have to worry about her. However, it would be nice to have some identified as a designated aid to see how my love one is doing, regarding her health and such. She isn’t one to participate in activities that they provide, but they do try to engage her to try. Unfortunately, she is just stubborn and she is good at refusing. She also told me that the meals are ok, but she wishes that there were more choices for breakfast. It kind of limits what she eats because she stopped having eggs since they serve that every day. So this reduces the size of her breakfast. The facility itself seems to be clean and neat. It seems a bit cleaner in the assisted living side than the memory care side. I recommend this place to other by my experience with them so far. She is transitioning well now, she can tell me about all the people there, she feels safer, and she is no longer feeling alone like she did before which is good.

We toured this community the staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. It was an attractive community. They wanted to put him in the memory care and not the assisted living. So we marked that one off quickly.

My father-in-law is in this community. It seems to be doing well for him. The staff is nice, he is on the assisted living side of the place. His room is adequate for him, he does share a bathroom and a refrigerator. They try to engage him to come to the daily activities. He says the food is good. It is clean and kept up. They offer a shuttle to go shopping if he wants to go. They have little walking paths for wheelchairs in the back. I would recommend this community.

This is a smaller community and they have a house dog and the residents are allowed to have pets. The staff is very nice. The maintenance is slow on fixing things we have put in a request for. They eat 3x a day and she is a vegetarian and they offer veggies burgers and fresh salads. She goes down when they have music and people singing. She will go on excursions on the bus. It is clean in here and they have a locked in garden area that is nice. I would recommend them.

We chose New Perspective for my loved one's respite care, and overall, I feel they worked well for us. They were very kind to my loved one, they were efficient, and they seemed to always have adequate staffing. We did have some trouble with my loved one not getting her medications on time or with medications being lost, but the issue was resolved quickly, and we had no other problems. They had a lot of activities to keep everyone busy there such as card games, shuffleboard, exercise classes, and happy hour. There was a lot to take advantage of. The place looked nice, was very clean, comfortable, and was close by.

I toured Sunrise for my loved one's respite care. I really liked it there. It was very homey and comfortable, exactly like being in someone's house. The staff was also very nice and helpful. However, I did not choose to place my loved one here because I was not able to arrange for her care far enough in advance for my liking.

My husband stays at Sunrise of Minnetonka. Overall, I feel that they really do care about him, they’re willing to learn if we feel there is something they need to change, they have been very respectful to us, and they generally have an upbeat attitude. I just wish communication was better. Sometimes, I feel that communication between staff members is not strong and could use improvement. The food is ok, and they have a very upbeat activity director who is very interested in what the residents like to do. They have outings, crafts, bingo, exercise classes, and an all-season porch for residents to sit in. I really like the way the place feels as well. It’s bright and beautiful with pockets of furniture in the hallways. My husband has a really nice studio apartment. Overall, I just can’t say enough good things about the place. Aside from the communication issues, I’d recommend this community to others.

I was touring communities for my parents and this community was very nice but it just wasn't right for them. The room was 100 square feet less than another community and had the same level of care but for about 2,500 dollars more. So needless to say we couldn't do that but the community is nice maybe for a single person not a couple.

Very nice facility. Was surprised at how pleasant and quiet it was once inside and in the back garden. Nice assisted living option. The memory care facility was quite nice - but not the client mix that mom needs right now.

Dad is doing great since moving here.He is doing the activities and keeping busy. He likes socializing with the other residents. The community is just the right size not too big and not too small. The staffing seems to be very nice and friendly. They have always been kind and accommodating to me anytime I've been there. Dad loves the food I've eaten there a few times and I must say it is very good.

My mother is doing very well with her move to this community. Everything is going well, and I'am very satisfied with all they have done for us. She is very safe, and in great hands. The staff is taking great care of her, and her needs. I know she is receiving good care. The experience is very well, and I have already recommended this community to my friends. It is a very nice facility.

I have recently taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. It was just not the right location for us in the end decision but I was pleased with the experience.

Both of my parents have recently made the move into this community and so far I am pleased with how things are going for them. The staff where helpful with the transition and they have settled into there new living environment. They are enjoying there new apartment and think its the perfect amount of space they needed. They are looking forward to enjoying some of the activities at the activity center with the other residents in the future.

I toured the New Perspective Senior Living. The lady showed me around the property and showed me the room that my loved one would have if he was to move there. It was a very nice, gorgeous community. They never called us back, we tried calling them several times. It ended up okay because ended up needing a facility that would be able to take a couple and we found the perfect fit.

This is a nice clean community. Mom is starting to get involved in some of the daily activities. They have a nice selection of food options on the menu and the food is good. The caregivers and friendly and helpful. They do mix the memory care residents with the some of the other residents during social activities. So far things are good.

Mom seems to be doing fine since she moved here. She is making friends and enjoying the activities and social events they might have planned. The staff is nice very kind but as of today, they are in transition of a maintenance person the regular one is out and the temporary one is doing the best he can. I've been told my mom the food is very good.
