New Perspective Senior Living

The staff seem to forget about about my loved ones hearing aids at night time and putting them back in in the mornings some days. Activities in the memory care area are kind of hit and miss. Assisted living is very good. I would recommend it to anyone looking for assisted living. The facility has fireplaces with screens for safety during the winter, it is a very cozy place. The nurse does a great job of checking in on my loved one.

Generally speaking New Perspective seems like a nice, warm place. They are currently looking for an activities director, and seem to have some activities for the residents. The response time for requests can take much longer than anticipated. In addition it can take a while to receive a call back after leaving a voicemail for staff. I wish I had known more about assisted living and known more on what to expect. Overall, my loved one is in a safe space and with qualified and some of whom seem to really care for the residents.

We chose New Perspective because of the convenient location as well as the smaller more intimate size of the facility. The apartment sizes are really nice and she is very happy with her choice. I would recommend them to others.

Our first impression of Sunrise of Roseville was a very good one

Overall my dad is very happy here and he really likes the meals. There has been a few issues with medications and organization of doctors orders and getting that all sorted out with The Waters. I would recommend them to others looking.

Not many food choice, much like a school lunch program. Fruit fresh vegetable in limted choices. The say they will accommodate special diet but that does not seem to be the case. As far as a "A Place for Mom" it would be nice to have them inform you of the waiver instead of me calling evevryone. Wasted time doing this.

The staff is very caring. All of the staff that I met were really friendly people. It's clean. And the security on the memory care unit is good. It was nice that I could take our dog in for a visit to see Mom.

Our family had an in person tour and we really liked this community, however somehow we did get a sense that it was pretty expensive. It is much bigger then the other communities in the area we were looking into. They had a lot of nice activities and people just moving around out and about, however they just could not take our loved one at the time.

New Perspective was a very nice facility. They are cash only and do not take medicaid down the road, so we had to keep looking.

We chose The Waters because we needed a place quickly and they had availability when we needed it. The room sizes at the facility are good, she had a studio and it was perfect for what she needed. I did have to go to staff quite a few times about some training issues, but they did fix the problems when it was brought to their attention. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

Overall the experience was fine. Coming from a fantastic nursing home/rehab facility it is hard to be fair. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good but most of the time too much. We did have several issues that were handled - just not always as quickly as we had hoped. With the current staffing shortages everywhere due to COVID there usually seemed to be sufficient staffing on hand except maybe involving meals. The 4 week program allowed enough time for continued improvement and to prepare the house for the move home.

We chose The Waters of White Bear Lake because of quality of the facility, the cleanliness, and the value for the money. The convenient location was great for us as well. The apartment sizes are adequate, not too small not too big. When we first started then had a dining center in the evenings where residents could go eat, they closed that and now deliver to the room which is why I gave the food a lower score, it was also not communicated. Turnover of the staff has been an issue here, but I think that is the case everywhere. The staff are wonderful and very engaged, they have been great. I have looked at a lot of places and I would definitely recommend to others looking.

I would let others know that it is worth it. The staff are personable. The community is clean, and small. The staff can tell you all about your loved one. All of your loved one's needs are taken care of.

Very warm friendly place. Got that feels that this is the right place for my Mom. Staff interactions with resident was kind, caring, respectful. Lunch looked and smelled good. They offer many different spacious floor plans. Looking forward to getting Mom settled in.

I thought my loved one was going to get a little bit more help, even in independent living, since they have different levels within that independent category. Other than that, it's been pretty good. It's comfortable, and my loved one has made friends. It's a convenient location. She has a storage locker and a place to park her car. And it's easy to get around in the facility. Everything is close by.

We toured the community and the tour was good. The community was nice but it was to far away to fit our needs.

Sunrise of Roseville was a very nice facility. It was less expensive than a lot of the other ones that we looked into.
