New Perspective Senior Living

Because A Place for Mom gave us recommendations of places close to us as requested we were able to ask good questions and visit several ahead of our father. We whittled down some we thought he should visit and get a feel for. He picked Sunrise of Roseville because it felt homey and he liked the bedroom and living room of floor plan we chose was separate. He has been there for a little over 2 months and really likes his choice.

We've had to follow up on things at times when it came to the care services. Excellent food. Although we don't see this used as much as we thought by the residents. Not the least expensive. Very nice but high cost. Yes, I would recommend. I would also recommend shopping around to see if any better values.

Cost for care is ridiculously high. It is everywhere though but based on the experience we have had so far with New Perspective Eagan, we would recommend this community to other families.

Everyone at Hawthorne Woods is very accommodating. [name removed], Director of Sales is always available to answer any questions and concerns that I may have. The other staff is easy to get a hold of as well. My Mother is having a hard time adjusting. The staff has been talking to her and helping her in any way they can to help her ease in. [name removed], one of the care takers, has especially been attentive to my mother. She is outstanding! Thank You

Energized community, a good variety of activities, however there is some staff turnover (as with many companies).

Pricey, fair amount of staff turnover, but they are very friendly. Great food. Good amenities.

It took a while to get accumulate, but things have gotten better. It took a little time to get communication between MGMT, the Aides, and family. I think the food is expensive, but usually pretty good.

I commend Aberdeen Crossings Assisted Living for very good security, healthcare, food, activities and a sense of community. There are special meals, decorations, and activities around the Holidays and beyond. I appreciate the professional musicians hired.

I recently moved my 96-year-old Mother to your facility. I believe she is enjoying her time there. She has mentioned some disappointment with the food quality - hope that this issue works itself out. Overall I am happy with everything - hoping we have more new neighbors soon!

We do not live there anymore. But for the time period we were there I will rate our experience as best I can. I hope by now they are able to put this lovely facility to full use. There was a lot of grumbling from the residents as to "how it use to be" compared to the time we were living there. . Can't say enough positive things about [name removed] the nurse. She always went above and beyond with her care. Meals were repeated often. Not good for a diabetics. Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed.

We chose New Perspective Prior Lake because of the location, price and ability to stay in her own apartment and add services as needed, when needed. Tenants seem very happy. We haven't used much in terms of service yet, but it seems very well run and clean.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Waters of White Bear Lake and the facility itself was terrific. My loved one particularly enjoyed the food. Based on the experience, I would recommend this facility to others.

I like the activities here. I love bingo. I like sitting in the dining room with my friends. I am a picky eater and I like the food here. I sometimes go out i the back and sit with my friends. I like this place, better than sitting at home by myself..

Sunrise staff is turning over a lot, which is troubling. The replacement hires aren't being given much training. They treat patients as though they are in a nursing home and not in a catered care, assisted living facility.

It's nice. Well maintained. New. Has everything one could need.

Friendlier staff in the memory care unit. Often they don't acknowledge a person (not talking about the front reception area-which are very good). Also, when you go to visit someone in memory care and maybe have a question or concern you have a hard time finding a staff member in that area. This is concerning as I worry about a fall or the possibility of someone having a medical emergency and there isn't anyone in close proximity. Not sure how often a room gets deep cleaned. For the most part things look clean but I noticed wrappers and such underneath my mom's bed which makes me wonder if anyone ever cleans under the beds. Also, I noticed my mom's lamp shade (which is glass) was broken and a large piece of it was on the floor by the nightstand. It made me worried that she could have cut herself on it. Those are just a few things that I think need to be improved. It is a very nice facility and my mom seems to like it there.

Move in was a bit crazy because they were switching the fob system. It took a while for us to get them. The food has been very good, but sometimes quantity is limited. My loved one is doing some of her own laundry and doesn't make it to breakfast and hardly ever both lunch and supper. I wish there was a way to compensate that price-wise, but we understand how it would be hard. Staff is responsive to our calls and texts. I would recommend this facility to others.

So far it has been a very good experience. They have a great staff, lovely facility, and helpful administrators.

I am very happy with the care my mom has received at The Waters. I can't give it 5 stars right now because there are a few issues here and there. We are working through these small items with the nursing director, so we'll see where we end up.
