New Perspective Senior Living

My mom has been here for about a year. We love that she can change from independent to assisted living while staying in the same unit. She has a nice apartment, with one bedroom, a den, full kitchen and a private patio. It's a beautiful building and she likes her place. The activities are great and the grounds are really nice. Residents and staff are friendly. Overall, we're very happy with the community. There are a few drawbacks. Communication with management is difficult. While they're friendly and professional, it takes a long time to get a response. Some issues (errors in billing, ongoing problems with appliances) can require multiple follow-ups. Services like housekeeping are inconsistent, sometimes they don't show up or don't do a lot of cleaning. When she moved in, they didn't provide an orientation so we had to figure out many things on our own. A "welcome buddy" would be a nice service to offer. We can overlook these things though because of all of the other benefits.

The New Perspective Senior Living is a beautiful facility. The meals and dining service are excellent. The staff members we have worked with are very nice and accommodating. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

Everyone at Aberdeen Crossings by New Perspective is helpful and encouraging. If I ask for anything, they do their best to make sure it's done correctly and timely. They keep us in the loop and encourage family get togethers. I would definitely recommend Aberdeen to anyone needing Assisted Living or Memory Care services. I was afraid that some of the changes being made by the new company/ownership might not be good, but things generally have improved.

What we really like about Sunrise of Golden Valley community is that they allow animals to come and visit. Our loved one has her own room and we also really like the friendliness of the staff members.

The staff are nice and caring. There is a story about a homeless man asleep in the foyer. How New Perspective handled is shows that they not only care for their residents, but they care for the larger community as well. The main reason we chose this facility was based off of looks. It does not look or feel like an institution at all. I highly recommend A New Perspective as a safe, friendly place for your loved one. The setting and building reflect the warmth and friendliness of the staff.

They seemed to have things together, and we were looking for a different place .Do not go there for assisted living. If the person isn't into doing anything, then I would recommend to others.

I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so. They are friendly and care about their residents. It was bright and clean and didn't have a fragrance about it. We liked the bright open spaces with tall ceilings. Made it have a cheery feel

Our family had an in person tour with New Perspective and the community was nice, clean and those I did met were friendly.

My Dad was in the assisted living area-- ask about 1) are they accredited 2) who manages meds and changes in meds 3) who gets him up and helps with meals and bathing 4) are there activities or a schedule of things to do in assisted care (this was lacking at NP in assisted care). 5. What assistive devices do I need to provide? 6. What are visiting hours for family. 7. Covid/infection restrictions? Overall, I was pleased with the care my Dad got. The staff was willing to work with me and with hospice to care for him. His physical needs were met. But even though he had physical limitations his mind was sharp and it would have been nice if there had been activities like cards or bingo for the patients in assisted care...it really wasn't appropriate for them to go to the activities for those residents in the independent living Thank you

Staff are Friendly and attentive. They call you by name. Know your preferences in dining area. Activities are there if you want. Can use my name. OT and PT are in house. There is a small warm water pool.

We toured Sunrise of Roseville and it was a good tour. The staff was very friendly and informative. I felt like our tour guide that walked us through was well informed, also.

New Perspective is a beautiful and very clean facility in a really convenient location. The staff and residents were all very friendly and made all of our family feel welcome and at home there. (Care rating of 2 - not their fault. My mom's condition declined quickly, and they weren't able to support her level of care.)

They are short-staffed (but who isn't these days). But the staff is very friendly and tries hard. Many staff have a strong accent, such that my loved one cannot understand them and just nods. Cognitively intact, so it is not that, even with hearing aids in. I don't think this criticism is just with New Perspective. I think it is an older generation issue as well, but it is our loved one's reality, so I thought I would mention it. [name removed], Executive Director, is excellent!!!

They do everything well except for coordinating communication between a resident and their family member when family is away. Residents should always have an outside family member who pays attention and advocates for them. We picked this community because, it was a homelike feel, friendly people, resident pets, high quality staff and care team, positive activities, movies and concerts.

This is a great place, overall compared to other communities, Sunrise is superior the others in my opinion. The higher level staff is better with the family with communication. I would recommend you be proactive in the communication with the higher level staff and they are good at responding to our questions. There is inconsistency of the menu options that could be improved. It would also be nice to have food delivered to the resident's rooms in a timely manner and with consistency of what they ordered.

We chose New Perspective because of immediate availability and it seemed like it was a nice facility with a lot of amenities to offer. Some of it has not panned out exactly as they said. They have been short on staff but I know that is a worldwide issue. Overall I would recommend this facility to others

The facility was so new and smaller in size. It feels like you are at a beautiful hotel, very impressive. I did not have much time to make a decision and we went for it. I think they are a little short staffed right now and it has been confusing with getting him settled in such as the laundry/meds/showers etc. When they do do those things though, they do it very well. You couldn't find a more loving clean beautiful place for your loved ones. We would recommend depending on the level of care your loved one needs, just make sure to ask questions.

The staff is very friendly, kind, and patient with my mom. They are also trying to encourage her to participate in the activities. Housekeeping is done once a week. Sometimes my mom could use her bathroom cleaned more often. Overall I am pleased and my mom seems to be adjusting and happy here. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a nice tour experience but it was a little more expensive and larger then what we were looking for

We picked this community because, it was close to my home and the price was reasonable. It was higher than some places but lower than others. The small amount of rooms/small community seemed like a good choice for my loved one. Overall, we're really happy with the facility. It's clean, people are friendly and they are really flexible in working with the families.
