The hands on staff there is great!!!! my grandmother really enjoys her stay there. The only problem me and my family have is with the medication staff and the nurse there is HORRIBLE there was always an issue with her medication. So now she is self medicating so we don’t have to deal with the medication issues.

They 'res a lot of good people working at Mallard Ridge and some not so good. I guess they've decided that older people don't care for quality food. One day at breakfast you get a meat and the next day you don't. Seems they can't afford hand towels either. I will say the place is clean though. I've often remade our family members bed. The top cover was somewhat neat, but the sheets looked like some had rolled in them. I'm sure the owners wouldn't want to have their family member there, having to eat the food. I do want to repeat, some of the staff are the best and really care about older adults. It's the bad ones that hurt the place, like one that put our family member and then told her that it was her break time. She left her there without the water running. I know some older adults are harder to get along with and stubborn. It takes a special person called to work with them. For what Mallard Ridge charges, they could do better. Guess the bigshots are enjoying their breakfast at a nice place. I've heard lots of people talk about the food being bad, even some employees.

My loved one has really had a hard time the first couple weeks at this community. I think the staff could use a lot of improvement in organization. My husband has been stuck in the bed or a chair and is just left all day with no help. This is becoming a problem because he is getting multiple bed sores on his body that are very painful. I have been very concerned for him and the lack of help he is getting throughout his day. I also have noticed a strong odor throughout the building the last couple days that are not very pleasant.

Great place regarding care, decor, and cleanliness. BUT food is terrible lately. Something should be done to better the situation.

I find this faclity highly over rated. Management lacks involvement with residences. Very little attention to residents by management. Very little structure. Meals are not very well planned for the elderly. Extremelly spicy even alternate. Example: chicken livers and onions or polish sausages and baked beans!!!! Not to good for those Sensitive digestive systems. Apartments are extremlely high compared to competition and any extra service has additional charges which are included at most facillities. Residents get very little attention unless addional charges Are added to your bill. Very disappointed! Assistants work very hard and do all they can with the little time they have. Weekends lack management supervision as does evenings during the week. I have been in supervision for 25 plus years and I see a lack of at this facility. I will be moving my loved one as soon as possible.

The caregivers are wonderful. We paid the admission fee of $2500 and the first month's rent and only were able to stay one month. None of the fee was refunded even though there were exceptional circumstances.

I would not recommend. I picked them because of lies.

They don't have enough staff for the level of care my aunt needed. My aunt became confused in her last few months and I do not feel she got the care we paid for.

The staff is misleading, they aren't supportive, my contact that I was speaking with before my loved one signed up has since gone mia. She fell and was on the floor for hours before someone came to check on her. I've had to go up there on numerous occasions to help her get dressed for bed.

2 for everything. Terrible experience. Too many improvements to list! We moved my mother from there. It's dirty, unorganized, lazy staff, her clothes went missing, she wasn't kept clean, got a decubitus even though she's ambulatory

The facility was clean, the care staff respectful. the administration has been uncommunicative and incompetent. He needed a form filled out by our long term care insurance when he was admitted on [date removed] and they still haven't done it today (2 months later). He had multiple falls in the three weeks he was there and has spent the last month+ in hospital or skilled nursing facility. So we're still paying out the nose for the place, but he isn't there and they can't fill out a single form.

While they did us a 'favor' and got our loved one in after normal intake time the staff either was not prepared for him or did not know how to care for him. There was an issue that first night and staff sent him back to the hospital via EMS where we spent the entire day in a hallway in the ER. He had been at Chandler just 12 hours. Upon returning we missed his dinner meal (not having anything all day at the hospital) we had to request his meal. The following morning he was 'up' sitting in a wheelchair. His bed was made. His bed was soiled-wet. We had to request the bed be changed. This happened a couple of times. My husband started going to CP every morning to be sure his dad was clean, dressed and bed clean. My father in law declined very fast and passed away less than three weeks after being at CP. the staff was nice to us. The facility had several little things...the door bell didn't work. We were told it needed a battery. There was a water issue in the kitchen in memory care. We were told we could not visit with the other residents that we could go to a specific area or to his room. (Other places encouraged us to visit with the residents). While my father in law could not have gone home those few weeks because he needed more care that his wife could give I don't think I can recommend CP. I will say, it did not smell like diapers like so many memory care units do. I did appreciate that. We never saw the administrative staff after intake.

There was a lot of confusion with registration, things were promised that still haven't been done, I've never seen anyone at the front once we got her enrolled. It's more expensive than [community name removed] was but I feel like the level of care and follow through is less than it was at [community name removed]

It's NOT good. I would not recommend. It is t clean and the management is not good. Workers are not all kind to residents. It smells bad.

I cannot recommend unless a person is VERY independent. I don't feel like my mother received the best care she could or should have. Especially when it came to her meals. I asked repeatedly about some serious problems with her meals and nothing changed. And no one seemed to care either. They either didn't know what to do or they said they would talk to the right people, or if I talked to the right people they assured me it would change but it never did. It was extremely detrimental to her health and well-being. She lost weight the entire time because she couldn't eat and it was all downhill.

I would not recommend this facility especially if your loved one is not able to move around on their own or if they require any kind of medical attention other than medication administration. They don't keep the grounds and common areas groomed and the meals are not very appealing. If you don't like what they are serving, then too bad because they don't have alternates. They are currently going through a transition to a new corporate company so hope things improve for the residents still there.

Lack of staff. No one to take to appointments unless they don't have activities for other residents. Food typically not good. I would not recommend Dalton Square to anyone.

The management seems to be all about the money rather than the care. Some of the staff was nice, other took advantage of our loved one. Very understaffed, ridiculously long wait times, and very few activities. High priced, poor care.

First day my mom was there she was not fed and they forgot her medicines a few times. The staff didn't come to room when she called and we paid extra for high level of care. The place is better for people who have dementia. The physical therapy awful. She started doing things on her own because she didn't receive assistance . But it worked out because she was able to move to independent living

I don't have any idea why they have an award from you. This place is the dirtiest place and the food is terrible. If I could give 0's, I'd give them. It smells like urine and isn't assisted living; half the residents need to be in a nursing home! Hitchcock is NOT a place for mom. There are residents shouting for help all the time.
