Preston House has this big activity calendar with all the daily activities. THEY DO NONE OF THEM. [name removed] was activities director. Last year her plan was to drive residents to every park in the county on Wednesday. She would drive there, get out and take a picture , and drive back. I suggested box lunches because most have tables. She said she couldn't get people to help with it. They had instructions on what to do if there was a tour. Some of the caregivers were really caring, but they did little to interact with the residents. [name removed] was safe there.

What our family likes the most about the community is the director, the food and the staff - they are friendly.

The dining room was excellent and they brought in entertainment for the residents. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend Deerfield Ridge to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

I still see an issue with being understaffed. I guess it's still considered the best choice in this area.

When it comes to the meals and dining service, they eat on Styrofoam plates with plastic cups and silverware. I have yet to see any activities. All of these places are terrible. They are just warehousing for the old.

Based off of the experience so far, I would recommend The Legacy of Lexington. But, I would tell others that you should always check on them and make sure they are getting the care they are paying for.

We're no longer at Northstar. Several factors led to our departure: change in management, personnel turnover, lack of activities, and price increase in 2024. I think their staff is doing the best they can but aren't trained to a high standard and are under paid. The facility layout is not conducive to outside activities, or guest ease of access to the facility. Senior executive position was unfilled for an extended duration so no one was available to discuss issues or execute changes.

The staff is friendly. They seem to know the residents by name and speak to them when they see residents walking around. They try to engage everyone in activities. We haven't been there at meal time. My loved one is herself, her room and the facility always seems to be clean. I would probably recommend the facility to others.

This is not a place to go if extreme care is needed. They did bring in a new person in December who has made a few changes and holds people accountable. They are fully staffed right now and that does make a difference. The facility is making some updates with paint, carpet, and common area furniture. The food is only average. I would be hesitant to recommend here. They seem to be trying harder and we may be expecting more than we should.

The cleanliness I needs help, the carpet is filthy. Mom has trouble falling and she is falling into carpet that has [removed] all over it. Would you want your face in [removed]. She can’t help her problem but the Fountains owes her better after 4 years in residence. The Executive Director advised us it would be replaced, but it hasn’t been, I don’t like being lied too! Now the staff that works with mom everyday works very hard, and are very patient with mom! They are just understaffed!

Hitchcock Place was not a good fit for my Dad. Not sure it is good for anyone. There some nice people that work there, however, the care is dismal at best. Meds are given whenever they see fit-very inconsistently. Many of the staff do not make sure they are taken. We paid to have him on a 2 hour watch when he wasn't doing well but that didn't happen. The food was not appetizing and often cold. I ended up spending most of my days and many nights there, so I moved him to my home and he has done well. Most of the people doing the care did their best, there was just not enough staff to do the job effectively.

I still continue to go to the facility 2 times per day. Because the staff turnover is so high, there is no consistency I do, however, realize the Memory Care Unit is as about the same everywhere. It's hard to keep staff

Help at night doesn't seem adequate. Atmosphere is pleasant Staff in daytime is mostly very kind The place does not smell like a "rest home"

It was a nightmare. My mom moved out of my house last year to Maple Brook, and kept falling and having heart attacks. When she moved out we weren't suppose to have anything to do with each other. I came to a roadblock when it came to finances, as I'm not her POA nor have anything to do with her finances, bills, decisions. Only reason I gave it that high of a rating [name removed] went to Brushy Creek to do paperwork with my mom The lady at the door should not be working there. Once again [name removed] saved this rating, until my last conversation when she said it was my responsibility to unpack my mother. She calls me all the time because she can't figure out her tv, or she needs her nails cut.... Seem like they try to keep them active. Exercise, church etc. It si one the cheaper options in the area

When I first toured Pinewood, I was very impressed and of course I was shown a demo room. When I moved, my mother and things seem to be OK, and then a different management company took over, and I don't know if that is related or not. As things seemed to deteriorate, I just tried to ask for help. For instance, my mother's bathroom sink dripped and then turned into mold. I kept asking the management to please fix the leak and clean the sink. And that never happened. They didn't clean her room consistently, there were mouse droppings under the sink and in the kitchen drawers. They did her laundry and apparently there was an ink pen in the dryer, and so all of her clothes came out, completely covered with ink spots, and I know this happens, but they didn't say a word they just folded up her laundry and delivered it to her I don't know thinking she wouldn't notice? I was mostly disappointed in the cleanliness of her room.

We like the facility itself and some staff are very caring, however some staff is the opposite of caring. They appear to also be understaffed, leaving my mother unattended for a much for as much as 1 1/2 hours after she pushes her call button. If it wasn't such a pain to move her we would.

Over promise on the care on front end. Shared they always have 2 nurses at call so if one is busy the other can provide immediate care ... that was not the case. I am sure linked to staffing issues. The PT service they use is excellent. The food was terrible and always the same. The admissions director was amazing to work with as we moved in

What we like the most about the Cypress Square community is the family like environment. Based on the experience we have had so far, I would recommend this community to others, but the things they need to work on are completely fixable...

When it comes to the value for cost -tiny Room was going to cost [fee removed] that barely fit a queen sized bed. They had a large park like setting outdoors. We are not considering the Legacy due the the huge monthly expense for a very small room.
