The memory care was similar to Harborchase, it was more of a square, but the building was actually separated from the assisted living so the meals were coming down through the outdoor. The place was nice and clean and if you're going into the regular end I would see no problem going there. They also didn't have individual showers in their room.

it was clean and the girl who showed us around was friendly enough, it was smaller and they didn't really have much in the way of activities. They mostly just take people for rides is what I understand and most of the residents we saw were in robes with walkers and sitting around watching tv. She's pretty active, she likes getting up and getting dressed and going out to do things so I didn't think there were enough activities for her.

The facility was fine am sure just not we needed. We need a full memory care facility and this was not just assisted living.

Memory Care room size is generous and they only house about 15-16 people, so there's usually a good staff to senior ratio. Face to face communication with staff is friendly and pleasant, however, after a few months, I've found there is no follow-up to my requests for info and I still have no idea who to contact about his care. There is a social worker available to advocate for the seniors BUT her services are only available to those with standard Medicare (not to people with Medicare Advantage plans) - this was a huge disappointment. My father complains that the food is terrible and he's not interested in the daily activities, which they do provide.

Wasn't what I expected. Very drab accommodations. Disappointed. It is not something for a person who is not bedridden.

The Director of Wellness ( nursing ) is new and is still trying to get her bearings. The person who does billing and reimbursement has a lot to learn. There were several issues. The sales lady is very nice and knowledgeable. The assessment process is not thorough enough. My mom had only been for 34 days before they issued a letter of discharge stating she was not " a good fit" . We are having to move her all the way to Ohio in order to find her suitable care.

Unrealistic? Higher? Unfulfilled? It’s a tough situation to move a loved one to an assisted living facility. We thought we’d found everything we were looking for. The sales pitch was excellent. But we were probably too optimistic about our loved-ones abilities and resiliency, but also about the effort level of the team on site. I’m sure there are some tremendously committed and hard working staffers there, but also plenty of sitting in comfortable chairs and vigorously using their phones. Ultimately, it was not an appropriate placement for our resident.

There were several caregivers there who were very good about checking on my mother and assisting her with needs, according to her level of care. However, I was not pleased with the lack of attention and timely response to the emergency call pendant system. Because of this we installed a landline phone and put the front desk number as an automatic contact for my mother to get help when needed. There were some communication issues noted when I needed to get in touch with the clinical staff for health problems I recognized with my mother. The activities director tried valiantly to get her to participate even though she continually refused. The OT [name removed] is a huge asset to the facility.

Beautiful facility, nice people, lovely apartment, great resources for senior and outings. Cons: billing is not electronic so follow paper trail, and the costs of food limit is too high. Apartment kitchens are really large and they would have preferred larger living room.

My worst complaint is the food. The food is not at all good for these older people. They are only allowed to shower twice per week.

Maybe just my family's expectations, we picked the facility because staff was nice and had a hall that was like a big circle and my husband enjoys walking. I think showering , shaving and giving him his hearing aids were reasonable expectations. Seems nice when 1st went realized not always nice to all the patients. They did not put my husband hearing aides in, did not have him shave or shower was in respite care for several weeks. He seemed happy with food and allowed him to bring favorite snacks in. Picked this facility over others because staff was friendly was more expensive than other and not sure we got our money's worth. They wanted us to leave and not visit so he could get use to place. He became angry and didn't want to see any of the family. Was not a good fit for us. Both my girls said it made them sad to visit him there. Did not feel very welcome when visiting.

Not suitable for anyone even approaching memory care needs. They should have known better. Staff need to do their jobs. ...they largely ignored the residents...at least those that were a challenge.

Some things were ok and some were not. The people are very nice in upper management. but I feel that the staff that were supposed to be checking in on the residents did not do their job very well. He was not pleased with the food nor the portion sizes.

It's a safe place for a person with memory deficits but, most of the staff seems to just be there for the paycheck, only. few really engage with the residents. I don't know about much the food as I haven't really been there at mealtime. It would be nice to have staff who engages and is more caring with the residents.

The building and staff need some attention. Hopefully they will be able to make some changes. I toured the community because it was the only assisted living facility that had openings. I will continue to stay to on the list at the neighborhood.

The experience was average overall. What tainted [name removed[ stay was when his residency was terminated without notice. He was sent to the ER at the local hospital and they refused to allow him to return

There are some good staff that are very compassionate to the residents. The building is looking worn on the inside. The carpet is dirty and needs to be replaced. With the change of ownership, I hope things will start to improve. There has been a high turnover of staff since the change. As with all places there are some staff that are friendly and others just see it as a job. When I first toured two years ago, I would say I was impressed, but today, I would just say it is an average facility.

Quality and selection of food is not great. Medication is left in residents room and up to them to take,or not, at their discretion. Then residents are told to purchase and administer over the counter meds on their own. Medication management is the main reason that my parents needed assisted living. Other than those two things, the facility is clean and well maintained. Administrative staff is good, but there seems to be a lot of turnover with nursing staff.

My spouse is well taken care of there. The staff are attentive and understanding with him. So far I am very impressed!. At first he was combative and unhappy. After about 2-3 weeks he became accustomed to his surroundings and acts more satisfied. The staff has been helpful and informative about his behavior when I am unable to be there.Overall I am happy with his care and safety. He went to Assisted living memory care mainly as a safety measure because of wandering. I give them a big thumbs up!
