They could improve the experience for residents at Northstar by not losing their clothes. My mother also has difficulty moving her wheelchair and she gets the feeling that the staff doesn't like pushing her. I've asked the maintenance man for three weeks to hang shelves in my parents bathroom and he still hasn't. There is some really nice staff that I really do like.

Activities director is great! Have had lots of personnel turnover Meds have not been given properly The money increase is way too often (2k in less then a year & 1 other increase for level of care even though nothing (and I mean nothing) has changed!) Am looking to relocate her

I like it here fine. I liked my home better.

Is presently improving but the last year has been less than good. The food has been very poor at times & the turnover of worker has been way too high & so think things are improving & am hopeful that will continue.

The staff was friendly and informative during our tour, however I was not impressed with the community. The building could use some updating throughout the complex. I was not impressed with any of the dinning halls or the bedrooms.

It’s alright. Yeah all are good. It’s much better than being out on the street.

Management has always been very helpful and quick to address any problems that arise. Staff has always been very respectful to me. The food leaves a lot to be desired.

I wasn't very impressed with this community. It is a nice community, but a little small. There is a lot of construction going, and I knew my father in law would not enjoy that. When the construction is done I'am pretty the community is going to look lovely. The staff was kind and friendly. This just wasn't the community for my father in law.

My mother is currently in this facility and I have had several issues. The first is their food, they do not have the alternate menu as they claim to have and is posted outside the dining room. The dining room is also HOT, I don't know how they expect anyone to sit in it let alone cook in it! I have to fight to get her a shower and yes she is agreeable to them . Also their bus that they take their residents to outings is broken ?? I haven't seen them do one since the day she went up there. Needless to say please check on anyone you have there.

My aunt is doing well as can be expected, she is still adjusting to the community. This is a nice facility with kind people. Wherever my aunt is at she will never be happy, but I'am satisfied. They are trying their best to care for her. The staff at can be responsive and kind. They are treating her very well.

The nurses are wonderful. Meals are pretty good. Overall the place is clean, but I don't think my moms bathroom is cleaned very well. The morning aid is just great with my mom. The evening aid is lazy and I think she needs more training. Pretty much everyone is very friendly!

Good not very good. Supervisors are out training or other meetings too often. Aides do it all. Patients seem to be on their own too much. Debbie Ray is always available and brings life and smiles to ever resident.

Brought my mom in during the week as it took 12 days to get the room ready. Tried moving some of her things in during the period but the floor was covered with maintenance equipment, so i could not put anything in the room early. Due to my work schedule, i could only move a few things in during this time. After my mom soiled her sheets the first night, they washed her mattress cover but did not put it back on the 2nd night. So, the 2nd night, she soiled the mattress, which was the only good one she had left. This made us very upset, and was really inexcusible that they didn't put it back on the 2nd night. The staff seem to be very nice and seem to enjoy working there, so the long term outlook seems good...but I'll be keeping an eye out.

I make the best of my home here - I will not move. They keep it clean here and it's not crowded. We get along with each other. everyone is good to me.

I toured this place when looking around. I liked the apartment. I didn't see anything wrong or concerning. It just wasn't the place for my mom. This wasn't where she wanted to be.

No one was aware that I was coming at 1:30. Jennifer Sperduti was not there. I was taken on a tour by the 'Business Manager'. She couldn't really answer many questions except to say that she thought that because of Jody's needs, that they probably would not be a good fit. She assured me that Jennifer would give me a call.

My family member has been treated well. I am concerned about the increase in number of residents and the number of staff. Staff turnover is also a concern. The new director seems to be doing a good job. Hope improvements continue (food service!!)

Visited Monday. Lots of things I like, very friendly, very attentive, staff does not appear run down themselves; a few concerns for Mom if placed here (no locking her in and she is a HUGE escape risk, 'frequent checks' or not); opened my eyes to 'assisted living' versus 'skilled nursing' in philosophy of care; More expensive than current location.

Cypress Place is a very nice looking community, and the staff are all very friendly, however there are a few things that I would really like to see them improve. The first is that they could do a lot more to encourage their residents to participate in activities, meals, etc. If my loved one tells them she just wants to lay in bed all day they will let her. I'd also like to see them change up the food a bit. The portions are plentiful, but from what I have seen the residents would prefer simpler dishes, the food is too fancy for them currently.

This was not the place for my mom because she had altzheimers.
