The residents are awesome. I don't regret the decision to go there. The management is going through changes so it is hectic. They seem to be trying. They do care. The food is not very good. I think once they get through the changes, everything will go more smoothly. My overall rating of this property is 3 1/2 stars. I rate the cleanliness 4 stars. I rate the friendliness 3 stars. I rate the value 3 stars. I rate the care services 3 stars. I rate the activities 4 stars.

When it comes to the day to day staff, and care, they are doing a good job. Though I think if a family member wasn't there to advocate, I don't know how much would actually get done. The administrative stuff is where the problem is. It took a good amount of time to get a schedule going for things like laundry and bathing. The administrative staff is difficult to get a hold of, or to get calls and emails returned. Six weeks of trying to get the billing straight and I am not sure that it's even straight now. They try to get them involved in activities, and my loved one enjoys the outings. We chose this community because we liked how small it was, and that the other residents were similar to her.

Overall a very nice place with a friendly staff. My mother has been there since April 2014 and generally has positive comments. Her negative comments focus solely on the food and food quality. She says it is very bland, repetitive, and that the staff will not respond to resident complaints.

Better value - but, it is a self pay community. They do not accept medicare/Medicaid

The memory care was similar to Harborchase, it was more of a square, but the building was actually separated from the assisted living so the meals were coming down through the outdoor. The place was nice and clean and if you're going into the regular end I would see no problem going there. They also didn't have individual showers in their room.

it was clean and the girl who showed us around was friendly enough, it was smaller and they didn't really have much in the way of activities. They mostly just take people for rides is what I understand and most of the residents we saw were in robes with walkers and sitting around watching tv. She's pretty active, she likes getting up and getting dressed and going out to do things so I didn't think there were enough activities for her.

In general, we're happy with Navion. If I was talking to another family about moving their loved one there, I would say: (1) The biggest negative is the food. It's truly bad and it doesn't seem like they have much room -- budget or kitchen space -- to make it better. I'm supplementing my mom with Heathy Choice microwave meals, fresh fruit and salads. (2) the staff is friendlythere has been some serious miscommunication though. I'm hoping with feedback, they'll implement better systems. (3) the director makes herself available which if very helpful. (4) the rooms are nicely laid out compared to others I toured in the area (5) I think having a small community is a positive; but larger facilities might have more staff (6) no place is perfect; if your family member is safe and generally happy, it's better than having them on their own and alone; my mom has definitely benefitted from having company around on a daily basis

I’m either like the facility or dislike the facility to be honest. I found nothing amazing about it and nothing that I wouldn’t want to be part of. My only concern was the structure of the pricing.

It was ok for someone on a budget. Staff were friendly Pretty clean but could be better Food was decent Interior could have been more updated But like I said before was happy overall based on what we were paying

We are going to go to Holiday Indigo Pines on Hilton Head, it is an independent living but have services if heed them. We are getting a 2 bedroom apartment

I didn't feel he got the care we were expecting. Assistant Living seem nice but memory care need more help. Not everyone seemed qualified. No one was ever at the reception desk. You had to find someone to let you in the unit.

Some of the employees were very friendly. The initial contact with the administrators was great. They were very helpful and connected. I like their text message updating family members about events. They have recently been purchased by another company. We are still navigating the change on management. Waiting to see if this will positive. We don't like the high turnover with staff. Some staff are not as friendly and seem to be less concerned about the care of the residents. The physical therapist didn't follow through on an order for a wheelchair.

The facility was fine am sure just not we needed. We need a full memory care facility and this was not just assisted living.

Memory Care room size is generous and they only house about 15-16 people, so there's usually a good staff to senior ratio. Face to face communication with staff is friendly and pleasant, however, after a few months, I've found there is no follow-up to my requests for info and I still have no idea who to contact about his care. There is a social worker available to advocate for the seniors BUT her services are only available to those with standard Medicare (not to people with Medicare Advantage plans) - this was a huge disappointment. My father complains that the food is terrible and he's not interested in the daily activities, which they do provide.

My aunt likes the ascetics, feels safe but dislikes the unfriendliness of the staff and high turnover. She mentioned that the therapist spends more time note taking than therapy

[name removed] only stayed 22 days. He passed away. I was impressed at first. [name removed] had trouble with seeing. At meals they sat food down and walk away . Sometimes spilt his drink. He did not like food. I truly think they were not truthful with ME.HE WAS UMHAPPY and so was I. So I was bringing him home. He had cold and uti. It took to long to get any thing done. I'm very disappointed with them

Wasn't what I expected. Very drab accommodations. Disappointed. It is not something for a person who is not bedridden.

The staff in general seem a bit distant. I wasn't able to establish a relationship. I did not witness a strong relationship of the staff to my family members residing there. There was one nurse who seemed proactive but she was disappointed with the lack of upward mobility and possibly wanting to look for new opportunities. The PT person seemed very proactive and genuinely engaged with residents and family. After some initial upheaval and doubts about the trustworthiness of the staff, my family residents seem to be happy there, but I have limited contact with them. I do wish I could find a way to get staff to assist me with communication. I have had limited visits to the facility so I provide this assessment with hesitation.

The Director of Wellness ( nursing ) is new and is still trying to get her bearings. The person who does billing and reimbursement has a lot to learn. There were several issues. The sales lady is very nice and knowledgeable. The assessment process is not thorough enough. My mom had only been for 34 days before they issued a letter of discharge stating she was not " a good fit" . We are having to move her all the way to Ohio in order to find her suitable care.

Unrealistic? Higher? Unfulfilled? It’s a tough situation to move a loved one to an assisted living facility. We thought we’d found everything we were looking for. The sales pitch was excellent. But we were probably too optimistic about our loved-ones abilities and resiliency, but also about the effort level of the team on site. I’m sure there are some tremendously committed and hard working staffers there, but also plenty of sitting in comfortable chairs and vigorously using their phones. Ultimately, it was not an appropriate placement for our resident.
