We have been happy with all fazes of our experience at Legacy. The staff, nurses and aids have always been polite and helpful. My sister is very private so she didn't enter into any activities. She didn't want to go to dining room to eat, so they brought her meals to her each day. We are leaving Legacy to move to Quillan Manor only because it is so much more convenient for me to visit. I was concerned that the front door wasn't locked like most of the assisted living facilities I had visited.

Staff is kind and helpful. They have worked to solve adjustment issues and [name removed] is now doing better. Wellness Nurse is very good . She and her staff keep up on medical issues and see that she takes prescribed medication. Facility is right size, not too big, not too small.

It's a nice place. I don't really have anything to compare by, but we've been satisfied. I would recommend to others.

We really like it for my stepdad. They are really patient with him and kind. The food looks good. The place is clean and decorated for the seasons. The activities director is creative and fun and encouraging everyone to participate. She is adorable. They have an outside garden area in the middle of the property so they can come and go at will. Rooms have a great little kitchenette. Big closet....individually controlled ac/heat

The journey continues to be a hard one however [name removed] is in a safe environment, his appetite is good, his medications are being managed carefully, he's clean and well dressed, and seems to be comfortable and has adjusted well to his new home! The staff are attentive and genuinely care about all the residents and provide the best care they need and most importantly deserve! The community is undergoing a face lift and recently painted the entire community, replaced the carpeting in the hallways with new flooring, upgraded the resident's bathroom sinks, replaced the locks on resident doors, and upgraded some of the furniture in the main seating area! The community has large windows throughout that provide an abundance of natural sunlight in all areas. [name removed] is doing his very best and enjoys sitting and walking on the paths in the secure and well manicured courtyard with a lovely water fountain. We spend a lot of time in this tranquil area enjoying our time together and having picnics and quiet time! The staff communicates in a timely fashion especially when presented with any of my concerns which are very few. I would recommend Richland Square for those looking for a memory care community for their loved ones!

Facilities are nice and staff is very friendly and helpful my mother was only there a couple of months but I would recommend them.

I thought the staff we had helping us was amazing. The thing I did not like was that as soon as my email and phone number were entered in the system, I was bombarded with calls and emails. So many I didn't even have time to call them all back to say thanks but no thanks.

Just ask questions an make sure u are clear on what u want an need. Atmosphere an homey feeling and staff, stuck out over other places.

Each category could get a different number, but on average they are all 4s. The staff is very friendly and works hard to find out what each resident enjoys doing and then helps them with doing it, such as working with plants or pets.

Our mom has dementia that has significantly progressed since her most recent spinal fractures. During that time, she was at Rex Hospital. I knew we had to do something. I went outside to just breathe, started googling places, and called A Place for Mom. [name removed] answered, and her kindness and knowledge helped calm my anxiety. She gave us a list of places based on personal information I shared regarding our mom’s needs. Eagles Pointe was first on the list, and my brothers neighbors had a recent family admission to Eagles Pointe. They praised it! After meeting the staff, touring the facility, seeing and smelling how clean it was, and seeing how happy all the residents were, my brother, sister in law, husband, and I were all confident this place would allow our mom to thrive. Not just survive. Since then, mom continues to praise the staff and place as a whole. She misses our calls, and never calls us. Before this would have brought me crippling anxiety. Now, it brings me happiness and peace.

The staff and management work closely to make the care personal and individual. They grow to care for their folks and they listen really well to families

All of the staff were very friendly and nice. They seem to really care about the guests. The room sizes are fine and the bathrooms are good. You have to provide all the furniture and bedding, etc.

The nursing staff were always nice. The salesperson was very nice when we signed but cooled down afterwards. Probably the worst was my mom died on [date removed] and we had to have everything out by the [date removed], even though the funeral wasn't until the first. Probably standard business practice but it wasn't good timing.

It's nice that staff are always available. Helping him with his meds and baths are helpful. I can call if I have a question. They were misleading in that they would take him to md appts but you have to be there when they drop them off. It's just easier for me to take him for appts myself with those rules in place.

They should ask about finances because there is an entrance fee that is non refundable and then there is the regular monthly fee. That goes up with your level of care. You also must furnish your own room. It doesn't come furnished. So it's good to know all the finances before you apply. The sales people were very helpful in explaining all this and helping with the application. The nurse was helpful in her assessment of my husband. The facility is bright and cheery and the food is good. There are many activities to sign up for. I may not be the best judge on value for the money but it seemed expensive to me. I don't have a lot of comparisons and everything is expensive today.

The staff are really kind and have been willing to work with my mom and doctors to find solutions to some of my Dad's bigger issues. They've been very understanding. We feel (like most places I'm sure) that they are understaffed and the staff is overworked. But that seems to be a more systemic issue. We also think that a facility that has an extra bathroom outside of the residents rooms could be helpful in reducing some bathroom accidents. But again, that could be a system wide issue. Overall very happy he's there and the staff has been really communicative, forgiving, understanding, and willing to make changes.

There is Room for improvement. There have been many changes at the facility in the last year for staff. Prices went up [removed]$ in the new year. They also changed out the carpeting, the dining room floor, and bought some new furniture. It looks nicer and seems fresher, but that does not help the level of care or the food. The manager was replaced, and many of the staff also left (from what i hear the staff were being paid less than other facilities. There were many times when my mother pulled the cord for assistance, and either it took an hour, they didn't think it was an emergency, or her needs were dismissed altogether. My next issue was the claim that if we didn't use there pharmacy, my mother would be charged an extra $[removed] a month. Also, no one actually cleans her room on any consistent basis. It's been left to me (her daughter), to clean, wash her clothes, shop for her, get her snacks (when she refuses to eat the food served. Another change was that if a resident did't go to a meal, or was sick, they added a $[removed] charge to deliver a meal to the room. Sometimes she misses meals when no one tells her it's time to eat. In general, she likes the relaxed atmosphere, loves a small percentage of staff and table mates. They let me keep track of her medication, let her vape, and have alcohol in her room. Not all facilities allow that. Note, that most people get their laundry done there. I chose to do it for her, because they lost something initially. Plus the person's name much be on every article of clothing or bedding. It is unclear to me how often the laundry is done. What i can attest to, is that her bathroom is not really cleaned, vacuuming is fast and some areas untouched, nothing is dusted. A few times a helper has used her clean towel to mop up the floor after a shower, without asking. My mother is not fond of certain workers showering her, and sometimes refuses if it is extremely early in the morning, or with a person she doesn't care for. A few have seemed untrained in this department.

My sister-in-law is in the memory care unit at the legacy. The nurses and aids are very competent in handling dementia patients. They are kind and attentive. The patients have their own rooms with furniture from their home. It took a few weeks for my relative to get adjusted but now considers The Legacy her home.

Most of the staff showed genuine interest in the well-being of my husband. The food staff even allowed him to have more food when he asked for more. Room sizes were adequately spacious for the resident. There was enough room to comfortably seat one or two guests. I really liked that there was a half bath (sink and toilet) in each room.
