We toured this community when we were looking for care options for our loved one. When we were looking in the Rocky Mount area this was one of our top two picks. It is a very nice looking facility, and the grounds are gorgeous. It looked like they had a lot of nice amenities to offer the residents, and the rooms were large and spacious. This one was a bit more expensive than the other option we liked.

We loved everything about Pinewood! The people were awesome to work with, the facility was beautiful and welcoming. It is also close to where we are moving, and that was a big issue for me. We have chosen Pinewood Place as the place for Mom.

Our family's experience while my Mom was at Dalton Place was absolutely wonderful.The staff was so caring and sweet not only to her but to all of us.We all felt like we were visiting her at home.The apartments were very roomy and the staff kept them very clean,Food was always good and a good selection to choose from.The activity director--Top Notch!!The caregivers--wonderful!! Michael Allen,one of the directors was always a face you saw and seem to be all things to everyone.

What a beautiful community! The staff really go above and beyond to assist residents and families with the transition into senior living.

Mallard Ridge is a first class facility. The staff go out of their way to make everything about the assisted living experience easy for the residents and their families. My mother is receiving wonderful care from people who are interested in her well being. The staff interacts constantly with the residents as people, who deserve care and respect. The most notable things about Mallard Ridge are the smiles : RESIDENTS AND STAFF! MY mother is happier, healthier and safer than she was at home.

The $5000 price is a little steep. If you require that much assistance, assisted living may not be the right choice. They base the price off of apartment fee and level of care. The bigger the apartment, the higher the price. The same goes for level of care. My mother has a studio apartment, assistance with medications and assistance with bathing. Housekeeping, laundry, meals and linen changes are all included. She had her own mailbox and loves to go on the outings. Staff is very caring and management also available to answer questions and provide help.

They’ve been wonderful. It’s a very caring place. The staff is very great and very, very helpful. My mom loves it there. She loves the foot which is restaurant quality food. Parking is fine, never had any problem with that. There are several outside areas for residents to enjoy.

Mom has been here for a month and I have no complaints. She is clean, she is able to wander through the halls at her leisure. Staff have been friendly and supportive.

This was the hardest decision of my life. I toured many places and this facility won hands down. All the people that run this place, from the office, to the front desk, to the kitchen, to the maintenance, to the residence, all give a filling of warmth, welcome and love. My father passed away a short time after moving in and I feel my mother would not have coped as well if she had not been here.

Very smooth transition for my 100 year old precious step mother. She is happy; we are happy and very grateful she is a resident of The Sterling House.

Excellent memory care facility

Of the 3 I visited today I liked this best! Spoke with John the new Executive Director, shows great pride of ownership and proud that they have 81% employee retention! Now for the [removed] offers alot of room options has a basic fee with add ins for care needs such as bathing,meds and oxygen supply. They do not accept Medicade but do accept the veterans benefits. Staff very friendly and residence seem happy as there were 6 ladies on the porch when I came in and had moved to common area (has a fireplace) when I left. John showed great patience with one of the dementia residence that interrupted us twice doing our tour! Wish they accepted Medicade but still plan to find see if there is a way to work it out!!!

The Sterling House is one of the nicest facilities in Goldsboro, but we need something a little less expensive. I give this facility 5 stars, but I'm not sure what I'm rating.

Good facility, clean and a flurry of activity. I saw more employees at this location than anywhere else I visited. Somewhat out of the way but I think this may be the best care facility. 1 CNA per 8 patients in the alzheimer's care unit.

I think they're doing everything that you would expect from a facility. A lot of it depends on your parent and their personality. If you have a parent that is used to private, nature and doing things without involving a lot of people, despite what Arbor Ridge, or any facility, could offer it's going to be a struggle to get that individual involved. They continuously have things planned. They are well planned and well structured on and off site. Hands down, they do a lot of great things for the residents and for my father. I'm ecstatic about the facility. I think it's great!
