I toured several places before placing my Mom. It WAS one of the hardest thing I ever had to do. But as soon as we toured Brookdale my Mom fit right in. This was the only one she did act more like her self. she has been here about 2 months and doing great. she is called the social butterfly, she loves the ladies in her memory care .she interacts with everyone and loves to dance to her some Elvis. she is really doing great and every one is so nice and attentive to every thing.

We're very pleased with how things have turned out at Northstar Place, they do a great job! My loved one is in their memory care wing, and the staff there is magnificent. They're really wonderful people! All of the memory care residents are constantly being watched over, and all of their needs are being met. They have a nice variety of activities for them as well! We're just very pleased with his care, overall!

The staff is super nice and the food is fantastic. I feel right at home.

Brookdale is a great facility. It is well run and always kept nice and clean. The staff is great here too and they really seem to genuinely care about the well being of the residents. So far, a good experience.

My father resided at Pinewood Place for several months. He enjoyed being there and called it "home". The meals are delicious. The employees and administrators are polite, caring, and most helpful in any capacity. My husband and I live out-of-state, but we had no qualms about Dad being in the care of Pinewood. Any time that we had a problem, something that needed to be clarified, questions or concerns, we contacted the Administration and were given answers immediately. Downsides were that due to Dad's level of care, we dealt with fluctuating monthly charges which far exceeded the average pricing; also his prescription medications were not covered by Medicare. Pinewood Place was a good experience for Dad overall, and we are glad that he resided there.

Manning Place was the obvious choice! I was looking for an assisted living facility for my father. A Place for Mom recommended Manning Place. The location, facility, and staff was perfect. Everyone was professional and friendly. My father is happy, safe and well cared for. I live far away so I have peace of mind knowing that Dad is in good hands. Thank you A Place for Mom and Manning Place for helping me with the whole process!

My wife and I are very pleased with the staff and facilities at Hammond Place. We have participated in several special events and look forward to the upcoming college football 'Border Bash'. My mother is still recovering from a stroke and recent loss of her husband of 63 years. The staff is very helpful in trying to help her cope at both a physical and emotional level. My observation is that the management and facility staff are personally involved on a daily basis with interacting with each resident. There is a 'lightness' and feeling of family amongst both residents and staff.

The staff at Dalton Place has always gone the extra mile to make my relative feel comfortable; they have honored every request for his care. He assisted by a friendly and helpful staff, has a spacious apartment, and enjoys three well-prepared meals each day.

I am impressed with the friendliness of ALL the staff, the care that they ALL give to the residents, the cleanliness, and the organization, as well as the activities provided. It seems that ALL the staff is engaged in occupying the patients' time with games and such. They receive the attention they need and want.

We had been nervous and struggling for months with the task of finding just the right place for Daddy. He was displaying signs of dementia, but still needed to feel independent. It had to be safe, have dedicated and caring staff, as well as be affordable. When we talked to Carol at Northstar, our fears were set aside and we knew we'd found the best possible place for him. The staff is caring, engaging, personable and loving. They treat not only the residents, but also the families, with respect and care. The activities director, Adrienne, is amazing at engaging the residents in daily activities and the cooks try to make sure to make warm and delicious meals for the residents. Yolonda takes care of the case management and is absolutely awesome at what she does. Johnnie and the front desk staff as well as Andrea and all the Med Techs are so helpful and work hard to make each resident feel important. There is a wonderful walking path outside in the back and a garden for those who enjoy being outdoors. The entire place feels like a large plantation home with spacious rooms for everyone to live in. I would recommend this assisted living home to anyone that I cared about.

I think they do a fantastic job at Kerner Ridge, I am very pleased with how things turned out. The staff here are compassionate, well trained, and dedicated to helping the people who live here. I visited at all different days and times and they always seemed to have plenty of people on-hand. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they also serve some pretty good food! I was very reluctant about placing a loved one in a senior community, but they've really won me over and I can see that they're taking excellent care of my loved one.

My husband and I have really enjoyed the experiences we have had at Hammond Place in North Augusta, SC. The staff and administration are great people to work with. If there is a problem they are very quick to respond to it. I am pleased with the care my husband is receiving. He seems content and happy. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place for a love one. The administrator of this site seems to really play a great part in how her staff operates.

They've done a great job so far, my loved one really seems to be enjoying herself here! She's got a big window with a great view, and loves to watch her bird feeder. The staff here are friendly and very accommodating, and will help with whatever you ask them to do (but you do have to ask!). The lady at the front desk always greets me with a smile when I come to visit. What really matters is that Mom seems happy and content here, and if she is happy I am happy!

Toured with Carol and she really listened to what we were saying and seemed focused on a solution for us, not trying to "sell" us. This was not the "newest" or "fanciest" we visited, however, it did have the best over all feelings of warmth, compassion and home. We met staff members who had been with Northstar Place for 12, 8, 10 years! The ED and nurse over the care made time to meet with us and were genuine and caring. We liked that there was a lot of activities going on and what the residents we met had to say to us about their home. Lunch smelled wonderful and dining room was beautiful. Of all the places we have visited this one felt the best for us.

My mother and stepdad moved into Dalton Place December,2013 after visiting other facilities. At first the transition from her home she loved was difficult but the staff and management were so accomodating and attentive. It was a relief to know that her physical, social, and medical needs were taken care of in such a supportive and caring way. What's so amazing is that the staff and management were so friendly and personable. The environment was homey and inviting. Mother enjoyed the activities and the activity director was awesome. Mother loved bingo and would sometimes miss it due to dialysis. An additional bingo game was added and was named after her. She affectionately talked about her transporter to & from dialysis and many of the staff. She became involved and felt loved. It was such a comfort to know she was taken care of. She had a couple of hospital stays before her death on May 29, 2014 and someone from Dalton Place would always make one or more hospital visits. It was also a reassuring to know that our stepdad's needs were met during her stays in the hospital. We are so happy that our mother and stepdad chose Dalton Place. They loved and took such good care of them. We are forever grateful to them for the relief we felt when leaving from a visit knowing that they were in good hands. Thank you to the staff and management for all you did for them and for us.

After checking around to other assisted living homes, my family and friends and I decided on Dalton Place. The staff treats my loved one as one of their own family. The staff director made the transition one of ease with the paper work, answering questions, and being available whenever I need assistance from him to date. The staff regularly checks and monitors my loved one. The Activities Director has so many wonderful activities for the residence who are able to participate in them. Dalton Place smells so clean at all time and that was a Bonus. My mother told me she is so pleased that I put her in her new home at Dalton Place.

Everything can't be perfect, we know that, but it's good. As far as I know the staff has been a 5 to me, everything I talk about they've taken care of. My mother, she don't get involved in the activities as much as I'd like for her to, I think maybe later she'll get accustomed to them. They contact her everytime they have some type of activity, she loves bingo, but sometimes she'll play and sometimes she don't. This was the most convinient and the people were really helpful. As far as I know, unless something drastic happens today, everything is fine.

So far, sorta good. I say him yesterday and he's a lot better than I've seen him in a long time after they straightened out his medications. There seems to be just enough to keep him busy, there is a piano, so long as he has a piano somewhere that he can get to once in a while. I went to a support group there yesterday and a woman who was coming in to visit someone plays the flute so she played with him and he had a good time with that. He seemed more talkative than he had been in a long time and I could understand him. I had visited it before, it seemed pretty nice to me and it was closer to home. It's spotless, very good, they had a dinner a few weeks ago for anybody who wanted to attend and it certainly wasn't as elegant, but it was very very nice. It gave us an opportunity to meet with the nurses and the staff

Things went well when we put her in for assisted living, but the only thing we've come up against, which nobody told us is we had already had her signed up and everything, my brother in law is power of attorney over her finances, and they told us there was a $3000 non refundable community fee, she was adding it non chalantly like everybody knew about it and they just looked at each other and said they thought the other person told us about it. Everything else has been pretty good, my brother in law says they get your money and then they don't care about nothing and they don't give us attention like when we first went. I know she's satisfied there, she says she likes it and more people come to see her there, she used to say negative things to my husband and she doesnt say things like that now.

Considering the situation they're working with and the type of residents they're working with there's not much more activities they can do, so they're doing the best they can. Compared to the other palces I looked at, I thought they were more of a home situation instead of an institution.
