We decided on Richland Place because I liked that it felt more like a home rather than a hospital setting. The staff members were all awesome - very friendly and helpful. It appeared that they were short staffed just like everyone else now a days. She loved it here and was always happy and smiling. I would tell others to make sure to find places closer to home so it is easier to stop in and visit. Make sure to be practice and be an advocate for your loved ones.

I was very impressed with my tour experience at Pinewood Place. The staff did a great job showing me the rooms and layouts and were thorough with all information. It seemed like a great facility.

The food here is great, they cater to all your needs, they are always making adjustments for everyone! The staff know us well! They have fabulous big events here! This is the most loving, caring, group of individuals I have ever been surrounded by. I love this place!!!!!

I never worry about my mom while she’s at Ashley Place. The entire staff treats her like family. The kitchen staff are no exception. They’re very close to their residents so they can tailor their meals to their tastes. One day mom said that she was dreaming of a thin sliced ham sandwich on soft white bread with lettuce and a healthy smattering of Dukes mayo. At the next meal, mom was presented just such a sandwich, and you’d think she’s been given a filet mignon! These ladies are the absolute best!

The whole staff at Ashley Place has spoiled my mother so much! She is quite the handful but they love her and try to make her feel special and loved. Her favorite meal has been oyster stew! Who does that anymore?!

I have participated in several of the community/family events at Ashley Place, and it has always been a pleasure. The residents have a lot of fun, and all the people involved enjoy themselves too! The facility is very nice and clean, and everyone is happy!

I'm very satisfied with 99% of Manning Place's areas. My brother is very comfortable here and the staff have been beyond helpful to both me and him. It's a learning curve for someone moving from their home to a new place, but overall it's good. We haven't had any complaints of any major problems.

Ashley Place is such a warm, inviting, fun, family atmosphere! Their team goes above and beyond to ensure each resident has a great experience each day with dining, care, activities, and most of all loving each resident!!

[Name removed] and [name removed] start off by getting to know every resident and their likes and dislikes. They have conversations with all the residents during meal times regarding food or life in general. They engage with the residents to plan special events like birthdays and other special events. They go above and beyond for the residents here.

The biggest thing I'd tell others trying to make decision like we made of our mom, is that entire time we were doing our physical and virtual tour, they never once referred to it as a facility; it was always a "community". There was nothing "put on" about it, it was very genuine. They knew all of the residents by name as we walked through the community, and the residents knew them too. They interacted with them as if we weren't there; it was very comforting that there was such a close knit community that we'd be sending mom to out of the state she was familiar with. It was very genuine, everyone knew everyone, and felt like a community.

They were very attentive and took very good care of my mom. She was always happy and cheerful when we showed up to visit and her room was always clean. We did have to move her because she ended up needing a higher level of care - but I would absolutely recommend Legacy of North Myrtle Beach to other families.

This is a wonderful community. They are dealing with staffing issues like everyone else; however, the staff that work here are wonderful. The communication between the staff and family is good. There are three meals a day served, along with snacks. There is no choice of meals on the memory care side. There activities are here; however, there are not as many as there could be due to the lack of staffing currently.

My wife had some behavioral problems and they were willing to take her here at Preston House. I am happy that she is here because this facility focuses solely on memory care. It is far away from our house, but it has worked out great. It was designed for memory care and you can tell by the lay out. All of the rooms are close by. All of the staff are very friendly and know everyone's names and their likes and dislikes. They also get to know the family members as well. We are very pleased and would definitely recommend to others looking for memory care.

The Keowee Place has been such a great community and based on everything we have experience so far we would highly recommend this community to other families. Even though our loved one did not always participate in the activities they did have good one's, the meals and dining service was very very good and the friendliness of the staff members was excellent

Richland Place has been a good experience. The staff are really good; they work specifically and only with clients who have Alzheimer's, and they are trained to do that. In other facilities they sort of mix people who aren't trained with those who are, and it's been a problem. Here, they are all trained in dementia related issues.
