It was a beautiful facility. They kept mom clean and cared for. Nice activities. Trouble with medication administration though. HUGE issue.

We really like that the staff take the residents out to the main area with the other assisted living residents to listen to the live music and even participate in the bingo and arts and crafts if they are able to. However with the constant staff changes and shift changes we feel at times it could be chaotic with trying to keep all the staff on the same page. We do think with the onboarding process they could get all the paperwork together better since it all can be so overwhelming and confusing

This was a beautiful and newer community. They wanted to place our loved one in memory care immediately and the family didn't fell that this is what our loved one would need. The off campus activities were limited to the number of spaces available in the van.

They don't help the residents, to get out, and be social. They should encourage people to do more. Overall, it is a wonderful facility.

Not a good fit for my loved one.

We've only had a couple of issues. They have been struggling with my loved one refusing to bathe, to the point that it's just not getting done. Also, she was put on a new medication that she refused. And on top of the refusal, they only told us about it after the fact. And they had some record keeping issues around the new medication. But they're really good at coming around in the morning and at night to hand out medications on a timely basis. That and other aspects of her care have been good. The staff are really good and really caring. They will stop whatever they're doing if you need help. My loved one is very independent and stubborn, and I understand the difficulties they face with that. They have a lot of activities going on on a daily basis, and they post them all over so people can see what's going on. All in all, it really is a wonderful place.

We chose MorningStar because they had space available at the time we were looking and as I evaluated them they seemed to be the best that we looked at. It seems the independent living here is really good, but assisted living does not get the full service that they should. The staff are all very friendly. It is a good place but I think that it could use some improvements.

This community only had rooms that were next to fire dept or next to busy street and would have been to noisy for what was paid. The tour guide also did not know much about the community.

We toured during the pandemic, so our entire tour was via Zoom call only. We didn’t even get to see a resident room. I feel they could have walked around and shown a room, but they didn’t. They at least tried and did what they could during the pandemic. I understand it was a tough job at the time.

I would tell others that there has been a lot of staff turnover and they have not been very good about notifying family when that has happened. I have to protectively call to find out for any information as far as visitation goes, so they could improve with their communication skills.

They are not very good communicators. They don't respond or reply to requests very well. That's my main complaint. I think that they are decent with my loved one, and it's very clean and a beautiful facility. I know that the Covid stuff made things strange, but our loved one was really cooped up and they didn't really do much to make sure she got enough exercise. It felt like she was in a prison.

I would want others to know who are looking into MorningStar that you need to be an advocate for your loved ones in here, you need to constantly be int touch with them. My loved one was having some medical issues and they did not communicate it with us. They do have a very high turnover of staff members and that is not just because of covid. I do not think that the value for the money is here.

In the beginning when i was looking for a place there was a few conditions, one being there was a garage and two it was transitional. So first independent living to assisted living them to memory care. Because it was smaller the staff really got to know everyone, and from August to March it was great. We loved the are and the activities. I would rate my experience than a five out of five. The staff was okay but the residents were really awesome. I was overall very happy and i loved the place. It had been opened for 8 months when i moved in, and it was from my understanding that they had numerous assisted living and memory care facility, and this was their first experience with independent living. There were some quality issues, but overall once again i was happy there. When we went into lock down it was like the independent living residents did not exist. Our meals were delivered to us in Styrofoam containers and was mostly cold. We were not offered any activities, the pool was closed and the exercise room was locked. There was no communication from the staff to the residents who lived on the independent side. As time moved on the independent residents were allowed to come and go but the residents in assisted living and memory care had to continue to lock down. It was also my impression that management could not take a step in any direction to do anything without the permission of the cooperate offices. We complained about the food, it was bland and then it would be to spicy and salt. The executive director told us they were using no sodium or low sodium bases which was not correct. Once the lock downs started everything changed, and our biggest concern fell on the shoulders of the management since they were not given any flexibility from cooperate.

I would tell others that the community is extremely clean, it is up-to-date, and brand new. Everyone was very nice. The food was sub-par and wasn't good for the money that my loved one is paying. The staff overall was not as friendly or helpful. The one contact I had was always nice and helpful, and this contact no longer works at this community.

Morning Star facility is very well appointed and nice looking, the gentleman we toured the place with was very good at presenting the facility. The rooms that they showed us were very nice. We would recommend this community to a family or friend

We toured this community and it was not a good experience. The attitude of the staff was not good they seemed disinterested in giving us information they were not helpful at all. The appearance of the community was overall good it appeared clean. The rooms were ok nothing special.

The tour was really good, seeing a nice community and the atmosphere. My intake to what was being told to me, was not the same as what I was seeing in the Memory Care.They didn't do a lot with the residents. I saw some sitting in front of the television. Not much activities or stimulation. They were professional.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I have to say I am a little disappointed in the staff. This was actually my first choice out of the different locations I had looked at for my father but I could never get in touch with anyone after our visit. Every time I called I never got answers and was always promised a call back that I never received. I was crunched for time and they did not have any organization going on.

Based on my tour they were fine. However I just didn't getting a good feeling for a match. It looked clean. The staff were all nice and good at what they were doing. Everybody was happy when I walked through. The number of people, the layout, and the dining experience was not a good match for my mom.

When I was searching for a place for my grandfather, I called MorningSrar. I did not tour but I did speak on the phone with a young man whose name I do not remember. I was not very happy with our conversation, When I asked about pricing, he just told me that everywhere was the same and did not give me information. It left me a bad impression and I would not put my loved one in their care.
