Morningstar is a great place. Staff is phenomenal! My dad was there for only a few weeks and then he fell. He went to the hospital and is currently in a rehab center. It looks like he may be going to hospice. We are waiting to hear from the rehab center but[name removed] isn't getting any better and he doesn't want to improve. He has made it clear. Unfortunately, he may be moving out of MS in January. I appreciate all the help we have received.

I am VERY pleased with Morning Star! The staff is so incredibly nice and friendly. They make a huge effort to know everyone's names and they greet everyone with such enthusiasm. The facility is beautiful and the food is very good too. The apartments are bright with high ceilings. They have given my mom the best care I could possibly ask. I love it there and am grateful that I found it. I HIGHLY recommend it.

5 on all. The resident community. I made friends with most and look forward to seeing them often. My heart is full not just with the good times, but even more as we share our grief. These Friendships are priceless.

My tour guide was excellent and very understanding about my walking capabilities . She offered lunch, but i was still full from breakfast and need to watch when i eat. The spots she showed me were quite spacious for independent living and if i truly need a spot to go to immediatly your place would be my top choice. However, at this very time I need and can to stay where i am. Thank you again for picking me up and bringing me home. I am quite sure you will have no trouble letting out the units i was shown and of course all of the amenities offered are stellar!

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. [name removed] room is plenty big enough. The food is very good. I would recommend them to anyone.

We looked at 2 bedroom apartment and ate lunch there. Food and service was good. The facility was clean and pleasant. People seemed friendly. Since it seemed to fit our needs, we put our name on the waiting list.

My mother has lived in assisted living at Morning Star for about 4 years and she’s quite happy. I find the staff very professional and friendly, and any issues we have ever had - like requesting medications for a weekend trip, or needing new lightbulbs - whatever, they are very attentive to her needs. There is a full schedule of activities daily and if mom doesn’t show up for exercise or some other activity then staff will often pop in with a friendly hello just in case she forgot to come. At both Morningstar facilities that we toured, everyone was so helpful, friendly and compassionate. We would rate both places 8-10 out of 10, but a little bit more than we were willing to spend. We could cover the cost for 2-3 years, but we really feel like our mom could outlive her resources at Morningstar, so we need to choose a more affordable option. Thank you for your help in our search for a new place for our mother!

From the moment you walk in the doors you are welcomed and feel the sense of community and home. Spaces are warm and inviting and staff are all friendly and helpful. [name removed] was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and introduced us to key staff members along our tour. She was quick to respond when we had follow up questions and during the process of getting our mom moved into the facility.

Morning Star is truly an outstanding independent living community. The staff here are incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to the residents’ well-being. They’re always willing to answer questions, offer assistance, and go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and supported. The facility itself is light, bright, and welcoming. Everything—from the common areas to the individual rooms—is kept spotless and well organized. It’s clear that great care is taken to maintain a clean and uplifting environment. One of the things I appreciate most is the wide variety of activities and opportunities Morning Star provides. There’s always something to participate in, whether you’re looking to stay active, socialize, or explore a new hobby. It’s a community that truly encourages engagement and connection. I highly recommend Morning Star to anyone seeking a warm, vibrant, and well-run independent living facility. It’s a wonderful place where residents are cared for, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive.

It is an exceptional facility. Not too many residents, friendly staff, clean and new facilities. Lots of engagement. But the thing that is most significant is a real feeling of security. I feel my mom is safe and as well taken care of as possible given the circumstances.

The apartments are roomy, the staff is very attentive and understanding of my mothers needs. She's in hospice now and quite hard to deal with. The common areas are nice and they have plenty of activities. The food is on par with other places we visited. Mom did not need to move to memory care once she became confused. They let her stay in her apartment with more help and attention.

I frequently visit my family members here and from the moment I walk in I am greeted by name and with a smile. Not only is it clear they know their residents and their families, but they go above and beyond to create a warm homey environment where their residents are listened to, respected, and happy. The only bad thing is parts of the building (more the furniture) look outdated or worn.

Love Morning Star. It's exactly what we needed for the folks. The staff are Angels! Really glad we have them there, they are safe and entertained.

Great community experience. She went from isolated at home to having a great group of friends that eat and go on outings together.

The staff are friendly and the food is very good. Big choices too. Facilities older, but it's been updated constantly. I have no real problems with the facility.

I have visited my sister daily in the memory care unit for 19 days at varying times of each the day. She is confined to her bed now. I have been impressed with the care, attention, and patience all the staff brings to a variety of situations that have come up, especially tending to all the bedding changes. At times when my sister is napping, I will go into the large living area where staff members are doing different activities with memory care residents: Playing ball, games, visiting, watching movies downstairs, or kindly aiding those residents that are confused, disoriented or distraught. In all the hours I have spent at Morning Star, I have not had even one negative encounter, but I would agree with some other comments regarding cleanliness. Morning Star needs to up their cleanliness game, at least in the unit where my family member is residing. As mentioned, they have been excellent providing clean bedding, but the rest is fairly meh.

Hands down best layout for memory care for resident freedom of movement and interaction. I would recommend them to others who are searching for memory care for their loved one. Overall staff is friendly and caring and open to working with family to assure transition of both resident and family is smooth during a challenging time.
