I frequently visit my family members here and from the moment I walk in I am greeted by name and with a smile. Not only is it clear they know their residents and their families, but they go above and beyond to create a warm homey environment where their residents are listened to, respected, and happy. The only bad thing is parts of the building (more the furniture) look outdated or worn.

Love Morning Star. It's exactly what we needed for the folks. The staff are Angels! Really glad we have them there, they are safe and entertained.

is bad on Onste staff-5 and HQ staff-1. WiFi and TV are unreliable despite 6 months of residents complaints including a petition signed overwhelmingly by residents. Technical management is unqualified! Add inept and unresponsive

Great community experience. She went from isolated at home to having a great group of friends that eat and go on outings together.

The staff are friendly and the food is very good. Big choices too. Facilities older, but it's been updated constantly. I have no real problems with the facility.

I have visited my sister daily in the memory care unit for 19 days at varying times of each the day. She is confined to her bed now. I have been impressed with the care, attention, and patience all the staff brings to a variety of situations that have come up, especially tending to all the bedding changes. At times when my sister is napping, I will go into the large living area where staff members are doing different activities with memory care residents: Playing ball, games, visiting, watching movies downstairs, or kindly aiding those residents that are confused, disoriented or distraught. In all the hours I have spent at Morning Star, I have not had even one negative encounter, but I would agree with some other comments regarding cleanliness. Morning Star needs to up their cleanliness game, at least in the unit where my family member is residing. As mentioned, they have been excellent providing clean bedding, but the rest is fairly meh.

Hands down best layout for memory care for resident freedom of movement and interaction. I would recommend them to others who are searching for memory care for their loved one. Overall staff is friendly and caring and open to working with family to assure transition of both resident and family is smooth during a challenging time.

The staff at MORNINGSTAR are a 10 on a scale of one to five. The move-in was smooth. The activities are appropriate for the age group. The dining staff ([name removed] and [name removed] especially) are superb and the apartment size is perfect. The facility itself is stellar. I would give ultimate kudos to [name removed], and special kudos to [name removed] and also [name removed]. Wonderful concierge staff are [name removed] and [name removed], as well as [name removed].

Everybody had been more than polite and welcoming, and genuine to their feelings.

Truewood is a great place for my mom. They take care of her very well. The meals seem to be appetizing. I ate there once and had fish and it was very good. Activities seem appropriate. My mom joins in when she's up to it.

[name removed] was such an excellent person to have our tour with. My mother is looking for an assisted living facility, and is very hard of hearing. [name removed] was so patient with her, and explained many things several times, always with a smile and with kindness. What a joy to work with her.

I would give them 5 across all categories. Great place. Staff is super friendly & attentive. Food is great. Choices for activities.

I would rate them a 5 on all counts, but my father was only there for 2 weeks before he passed away. Based on the experience we had, we would absolutely recommend the community to other families.

I give morning star in Idaho Falls a 5 on all categories. She's been there one year now and we, her and the family, are very happy with the decision to move there

The people and care were amazing top to bottom. Yes, we would recommend MorningStar at Applewood to other families based on the experience so far.

My 92 year old mom is very happy at MorningStar Observatory Park. She says it’s like living in a luxury hotel. The building is beautiful inside and out. The amenities are top-notch. The staff is very kind, friendly, and helpful. The special events are great (especially the beautiful Mother’s Day Tea and the super fun Casino Night). The food is excellent. There are many activities for my mom to participate in that keep her engaged and give her a sense of purpose. Most importantly, my mom is safe, well cared for, and is enjoying herself at MorningStar Observatory Park. It is so wonderful to see her happy and thriving.

The food was always so yummy! And we had such a wonderful server, [name removed], who took great care of us! I enjoyed the tour of the place and it made my family feel very safe. The food quality was awesome, and I enjoyed being greeted in the beautiful lobby.

They helped me navigate through so many options. The best help was bring in the phone and reviewing the emailed options. I could see the pictures, locations and the reviews. That was most helpful. We needed an option that would allow her cat and that filter was hard to do on my own.

Morning star appears to be an exceptional well run establishment with many amenities and personnel to make sure everyone is well cared for. The buildings were neatly organized and nicely arranged to be easily accessible to all.

The facility appeared very clean and attractive. Lots of activities, and residents we saw appeared happy. Was impressed with how good [name removed] was with residents, he knew their names, and they responded well to him. Liked the idea of ground floor casitas. This was the first place we visited, and overall, we got a very good impression. The location was further away from our current neighborhood than we hoped to find, but overall, we were impressed with the quality of the residence.
