We moved my father here from independent living when he needed assisted-living. He was there for three months (before passing) and they were great! They were awesome at getting to know him, helping him as his needs changed, and truly loving on him. We had great communication with them for his needs. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for the last few months of his life.

Staff turnover is discouragingly high. Food is tasty but not really healthy. Daily activities tend to be organized and run by residents not staff. I experienced serious billing errors. Residents are friendly and welcoming. Facility is attractive throughout.

Morningstar was a very different experience than competitors in memory care. The facility is light, bright, open, and has a design conducive for memory care residents. On top of that the staff is caring, engaged and attentive. Residents participate in a variety of activities including outings on a regular basis. And the food was varied to keep meals interesting avoiding food fatigue. I toured 14 facilities in houston before finding MorningStar and am very pleased with my choice. I would highly recommend. It is pricey, one of the top 3 costs, but if you can manage it, it’s been worth the expense for our Mother. Yes, there are things that need some improvement but those are minor in comparison to the quality of care residents receive here.

The food is definitely better than others. They have daily specials and weekly specials, along with the anytime menu. They are great to reach out to the clients even if they are on the Independent side.

The senior community is huge! Morning Star feels refreshing when you walk in. Touring communities can feel like a lot, but the team did not disappoint. The resident are happy and that speaks for its self. 10 out of 10 recommend!

A few things I like most about the community is they are responsive, kind and efficient. I would absolutely recommend MorningStar at Arcadia to others.

My Mom LOVES it. The staff is excellent. She feels like she is at home with family. She loves all of the food and activities. She is never bored or alone unless she chooses to be alone. Thank you for the recommendation. We are very blessed to have found Morningstar for her. Thank you!

What I like most about the place is that they really care about the people that live there. Activities are great but if they don't care it doesn't matter. They have a lot of cool stuff to do there. When I was touring the place they had a Kentucky Derby watch party and al the ladies were wearing their hats and it was so cute. They had pizza and cupcakes and drinks. My dad enjoys the live music they have the most. The lady that organizes that stuff is such a sweetheart,

They were very caring and considerate. Unfortunately. My mother didn't live long enough to take advantage of all the amenities but she was very much looking forward to it. Your caring staff made a priceless difference in the final months of her life.

I love the friendliness of everyone. Morning Star has been great so far for Mom everyone's so friendly.

Those on my list were easy to arrange for a visit - Morningstar called me to set up my appointment. I was in independent living when I feel down and broke my knee cap. They immediately shifted me to an assisted living appointment and got me assistance in managing my care.

The best place any senior could be at. The staff is very attentive, polite and helpful at all times. She is given her medication and checked by a nurse every day. The food is good, they have a variation of entertainment every week. There is a trip to the store every week and fun day out too.

My comments relate to the memory care section specifically. The facility and grounds are well kept. It is always clean and smells clean. Staff is great and there isn't much turnover. Lots of activities to keep them engaged. My mom has been there for a year and hasn't complained about anything. The only negative comment I have is one time they sent her out for medical care and they didn't let me know as the POA and I live out of state. They have some newer admin staff in the section and they now offer monthly feedback meetings with family members which is good. They seem interested in continuous improvement and not just the status quo.

We were impressed as soon as we walked thru the doors of Morning Star. We had an interview with [name removed] set up by A Place for mom. She was very kind and pleasant. She took us on a tour of the facility and were able to see a 2 bedroom room since that was what we were looking for. We were invited back to bring my mom and her husband for Easter Brunch which was a nice introduction for them to see the facility, they were taken on a tour as well. [name removed] arranged for mom And her husband to visit an existing couple with the same floor plan. My parents were impressed with the people we met, the food, the theater, the salon, the entertainment that was scheduled in the monthly calendar. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I personally liked the safety features of morning Star, they have a button in their apartment they push in the morning to notify the staff they are up and accounted for. They have a daily event list outside their door. I can’t say enough about [name removed] help and guidance.

The overall experience of assisting my father with the selection and move to MorningStar has been outstanding. Everything is top notch - from the moment you enter the facility with welcoming staff, the meals and dining experience, the Father's Day bbq was amazing and his apartment is great!

What stood out the most - The staff is very friendly. Good activities. The meals are very good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived to check in they met us at the door and made introductions to staff and residents who were there. They were very responsive to our questions and concerns. The first evening we were there we had several family members who came down to visit and they were very accommodating. They made an effort to get my wife involved in activities. The facilities were well maintained and clean. The food options were great. Overall we were very pleased with our experience there.

Caring and compassionate staff. I have been and experienced only high quality care of residents. My friend fell when trying to sit down in his apartment, within a minute or two a staff member came to the room to check on his fall and ensure he was not injured or in need of help.

My step father was only there for a short time before he passed away. The staff was excellent and made his passing very easy for everyone. They took very good care of him. When the coroner took him out the door, the staff was lined up against the wall of the exit to say good bye. It looked like everyone who wasn't busy was there to pay respect. I will never forget that and will always be a cherished memory.

Staff was very accommodating when you brought up issues. They were very supportive through in home hospice care. They had great afternoon music and happy hours. Crafts were hit or miss due to transition in staff. Leadership knew and cared about the residents. This place was the most reasonable for someone near end of life who needed more assistance but not skilled care.
