It’s only been 3 months but I have a good feeling about the facility and know my mom is safe now and in good hands. My mom is content despite the memory loss and confusion with her dementia. They have lots of activities for them and the facility is kept up very nice. A family friend had been there in assisted living before she passed 4 years ago, and I always thought that is where I would want my mom if she ever needed assisted living. As it turned out, mom needed secure memory care and they had an opening. I didn’t check out any other facilities in person.

Overall Morningstar of Parker is a good place with a stable staff. The director is hands-on and works to make sure the place runs well. Overall, we are pleased with Morningstar Parker.

I wanted a place to enjoy living. Morning Star has independent living, assisted living and memory care. Just what I was looking for. Residents enjoy their time here. It is a very friendly place. It is a modern enjoyable residence. Just as I was hoping for.

I am the primary caregiver for my sister. We moved my sister into Morningstar Independent Living about 15 months ago and now have made the difficult decision to move her to Assisted Living. As my sister's mobility, speech and cognitive abilities have declined, the Morningstar staff has shown compassion and increasing attention to her needs. They keep in touch with me and call my sister each day to check on her. I am most appreciative of the hand holding that the staff has given me to help assure my sister's transition to Assisted Living isn't too confusing and she's fully supported.

5 on all the categories. The staff is dedicated to their mission of serving with love, kindness, honesty, goodness, and respect...towards all their residents. We would absolutely recommend MorningStar at Mountain Shadows to other families based on the experience we have had!

The facility is well kept, having laundry in her unit is good for my mom. The staff is friendless and personable. The cable TV and internet situation is not good and they keep being told they are changing carriers but don't. No actual card playing groups, other than poker. Other than poker, absolutely no evening activities. No knitting groups and the like. That type of thing.

My mother stayed here and she received excellent care from all the staff. she enjoyed being there. The nursing staff was very attentive and would answer when ever she used the call button. I highly recommend Morningstar.

The community is completely brand new with warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is exceptionally clean and smells great with friendly staff greeting you at the entrance and all the way through the community while touring. Highly recommend!

Excellent staff, plenty of activities, gym & group exercise, on site PT, excellent food, very comfortable apartment.

Right now I don't need any additional care as I take care of myself. There is a great variety of meals and quick service. When it comes to the activities that gets a 5+. They offer more than I can do. I love the variety of things to do. I am concerned as the price goes up each year but I guess everything is going up, Moving here was the best move for me! Thanks for your help.

Everyone has been really friendly and their nurse is kind and proactive. Morningstar is a lovely place with some of the best food I have encountered, though dinner ends at 6 pm. It has fewer activities than some of the other places with a little bit of a religious focus. Though all in all we had a wonderful experience and my dad is thriving there.

Lots of opportunities to get involved, residents are out & about all day vs being in their rooms, and the facilities are clean, updated & have an overall good vibe.

We have recommended it to a friend who is also very happy. Unfortunately, my husband passed away after being there a short time. However, he had been very happy and comfortable there. I just can't say enough about the quality of care he received. I would like to add that we visited several places. Morningstar is a lovely place. They keep everyone involved in activities. It was the best of all the places we visited.

I am happy as a lake at MorningStar of Observatory Park. Everything is great and the price is comparable to others in the area. The building is new and very nice. Staff is amazing-friendly, solicitas, capable and generally Johny on the spot. Head and shoulders above what I experienced in two other similar places.

As much as I like them and the facility I would say.... If they r taking care of the meds, make sure to always watch and check the statements; my parents bathroom was not cleaned nearly good enough; keep in mind to "order" a person to help feed/hydrate them; be as present as possible so the workers know that your loved one(s) will not get overlooked and that if that does happen, it is addressed and chances will be lessened to happen again; and with any place you decide on, always keep as close of an eye on your loved one(s) as possible. With any issue that I had, I went directly to the head of the floor. I made myself known with the staff and had a very good relationship with the head of the memory care floor. That way she always knew who I was calling about when I called. Even with what I wrote above, I am glad that Morningstar Wheat Ridge is the facility we picked for my parents last 9ish months of their lives. I forgot to expand on the "ordering" a person to help loved one feed/hydrate.....if your loves one(s) are not able to feed themselves well enough or can't feed themselves, the facility can arrange for a person to be with your person to help feed and hydrate them. This is at an extra cost if your person is not in Hospice.

We like all the events and outings that keep her busy! Based on the experience we have had so far, we would definitely recommend this community to other families.

This place is so beautiful, and an awesome place. Unfortunately my mother is not well enough to take advantage of the activities… Food is great too. Hopefully we will get to take advantage of more things over time.

All the staff are excellent. They treat all the residents like their own family. They watch over us like a mom & dad would if you need a friend to talk to. They are there. We have a cairn terrier who lives with us. When I walk her she is talked to and patted. We love it here!!!
