Morningstar, Santa Fe, is a very pleasant, positive environment. The staff is receptive, and always working to improve every aspect of the facility. Staff members are kind, responsive to the needs of the residents, and friendly. When a concern arises, they respond quickly and positively, always making the care and comfort of each resident a priority. All aspects of the facility strive to work as a team, and the leadership shown by the administrative staff is proficient and positive.

We were greeted and treated very personally & professionally and had a great rapport with our hostess. A very clean and nicely decorated facility. Residents were friendly to say hello as we walked by. There appears to a a lot of activity choices.

This community has reached out to my mother in as many ways as they can. They come in faithfully and check the menu for her what she wants to eat. They fix up her water with ice and her soda with ice and set it in front of her on her little table. They come in three times a week and shower her get her ready for the day. She, however, is not holding up to her end of the care. She chooses to stay in her nightgown and stay in her room. They invite her and she says no. When we’re there as a family, we will take her out in a wheelchair and get her out of our room. The accommodations are delightful. It feels like an apartment. Her memory is failing her terribly. And so she’s not really sure where she is but they still come in and ask her if they need to do anything for her.

Morningstar switched to a non-points dining program. They offer "3 meals a day" except on Sundays. Unfortunately there is only one dining facility. They are promoting special events like High Tea, A night in Paris dinner, Merry days, Holiday meals, etc. on a routine basis. These events are expensive, poorly announced, require advance reservations, and take over the dining facility. Those residents who don't participate (a large number) aren't able to use the dining facility and have little to no options for food. We recently visited our good friend and the entire lobby was filled with residents seeking dinner with only a few bags of chips and some cut vegetables available. The dining room also, without warning, closes early for staff meetings. Coffee is hard to get. Poor lady has gone without meals at times. We recommend seeking a place with reliable meals for all

I would recommend MorningStar at Golden Ridge. We picked them, primarily because of the location, cleanliness of facility and washer/dryer inside each assisted living apartment.

I had to place my beloved partner in live of some 56 years here when I could no longer provide her a safe and caring environment. I tried, my best but realized she needed care that I couldn’t give her. At first we both were lost. She’s an advanced Alzheimer’s patient and I, well I was devastated feeling for a long time that I had failed. But she’s now content and happy and the staff takes very good care of her. I get calls when she falls(a regular happening) I truly feel that it was a a good decision

Jordan as a community has gone through a lot of management changes within the past couple of years. Food quality has improved a lot, and the staffing overall is quite decent. It seems that management is actively working to improve the general operation of all departments. There is definitely potential for even better quality of service moving forward. The strongest point of this community is the friendliness of the staff. The staff genuinely cares for the residents and are willing to spend extra time giving them the care they need.

The facility has very friendly staff and is in a great location. I would definitely recommend Morningstar of Pasadena to others.

Morningstar is very helpful managing my mother. We originally had her in independent living, but as time went on we had to move her to memory care. Morningstar handled everything to move her and things went smoothly. The only issue I had was the lengthy contract with many other supplemental pages to sign.

When I took my mom there, she decided. Also, it was SO much nicer than the other places I visited. She said, "Everyone is smiling!" My parents like it there. They are responsive when we have questions or concerns.

Overall, MorningStar has been a good choice for Mom, but I can see where some improvements need to be made. For example, it would be nice if they provided some evening activities occasionally as that is when my mom gets the loneliest. Also, some of the activities they do seem to be geared more for the staff themselves not necessarily those who live there. For example, they had a whole celebration of Barbie when the movie came out, and my mom was really rather annoyed with it. The staff are always friendly, and treat my mom with respect and care, which is very important to my family. The food is top-notch, and my mom enjoys the choices offered. She loves it when they bring it outside entertainment especially when they do the old time songs so they can sing along.

Really came down to two very similar choices and one of the staff members was really good and probably gave MS the edge. And slightly cheaper. Overall it's been a good experience.

The food servers were wonderful and paid close attention to what Mom could chew and what she loved to eat. The activities were wonderful, I just wish Mom had been able to enjoy more of them. There were wonderful caregivers and then some not so wonderful, pretty much like any other assisted living. The wonderful ones way out weighed the not so wonderful ones.

The staff has been so caring. Everyone, from the director to the housekeeping staff are consistently kind and friendly with each resident. They recently hired a new activity director, so I'm hoping that part of the program improves. The only area that could still use attention is the food. It's okay but could be better.

The facility is very well done and the little one bedroom apartment my aunt and uncle are in is very nice and spacious enough for both wheelchairs. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the activities as they will not participate, which disappoints me. They said the food is good but not a lot of variety. The front desk is very pleasant and helpful,

4+. Very happy with Truewood. Staff are amazing, friendly, helpful and caring. Lots of activities, although my brother does not join in. He has serve hearing loss. The residence is kept up, very clean and nicely decorated. Over all I'm very happy he's there.

Combination of overall impression, and ability to meet needs at the time. Overall very good.

My Mom loved the food for the most part. She thought Morningstar was a pretty place and she liked looking at the fresh flowers that were near the dining area. Her care team really strived to make her happy and well cared for. Although her time was too short at Morningstar, we became attached to several of the employees who went above and beyond in their care for her. When I interviewed for her to go there, I was told the residents have a button to push when they need assistance. Since my Mom was placed in memory care because of elderly dementia (not Alzheimer’s) they did not have these buttons to push for assistance. Her mobility was quite bad. Since she was not incontinent she required assistance to get into the bathroom. She would yell out for help for someone to come assist her. That is what they told her to do was to yell out. Often they did not hear her pleas so she would try to get to the bathroom on her own. She ended up fracturing her ankle, went into hospice, passed

I think MorningStar at Jordan Creek is a very friendly facility. As far as the food goes, I think they could improve on the eye appeal, the taste, and make sure to serve meals hot.
