What we like the most about the MorningStar Assisted Living community is the cleanliness of the community as well as the friendliness of the staff. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would maybe recommend them to other families. My wife and daughter at different times found their mother/grandmother on the floor in her apartment. Although staff was very friendly and I believe, competent, it seemed staffing levels at time may have been below what was necessary.

My loved one was previously a resident of MorningStar Senior Living of Parker and this facility was great. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff and quality of care were also great. Everything was five star at this facility. I would recommend MorningStar Senior Living of Parker to family and friends.

It is a nice place everyone is very friendly. We have had some issues with housekeeping but overall a nice place. It seemed like it had more energy and alive people are always going in and out and hanging out in the public areas.

Sadly, mom passed away under Hospice care at the facility after just 3 months of residing at Morningstar with complications from Alzheimer's. The admin and staff were amazing. We had numerous concerns with the outside medical provider that they used, but I believe they contract with someone else now. I would recommend the MorningStar Memory Care at Bear Creek. It's a beautiful facility set up specifically for memory care.

The physical surroundings are very nice at MorningStar Senior Living of Pasadena. The staff is very good. But at times, they're short staffed, so some housekeeping may be delayed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My mom had two medical incidents which they caught quickly and called emergency services. They contacted me right away. When my mom moved in a year ago she was one of only a few ethic Chinese residents. Since then, that population has more than doubled. My mom is an English/Chinese speaker and can speak her native language with a couple of others. The food is good, but no Chinese food. The move-in was very smooth. I definitely recommend this facility to others.

Leadership seems to genuinely care. Facility is pleasant. Some areas still seem to be catching up from pandemic staffing issues but are on the right trajectory.

I don't think that there are any places that are good value for the money. $[removed] a month is insane. They should be getting personal Massages upon request.

4's on all because I don't believe in 5's. My dad has steadily declined since his arrival, and I have found that the staff notifies us promptly when he has fallen. They follow protocol to notify Hospice for guidance under those situations.

Our family had an in person tour with MorningStar Assisted Living and it was beautiful, but way out of our price point. However the staff members were really nice

My moms in memory care and I wish she could have coffee every afternoon. Staff is friendly but there seems to be quite a bit of turnover. Food is good. We've asked some repairs in my moms room, but they haven't been accomplished. Here's the title: Wish for coffee, staff friendly, food good, repairs slow.

My husband and I had an in person tour with MorningStar Senior Living of Sparks and based on the tour experience as well as the community we really liked it for our loved one.

I toured this facility and it was almost identical to the other nearby location and overall rated very high in our choices, but one thing that was very off-putting about the tour was our tour guide. In addition to showing us into empty and 'model' rooms our tour guide also opened up and showed us rooms of current residents. I thought that this was very unprofessional and it made me feel very uncomfortable, like I was violating someone's privacy. I know that I would not like my family member's room being showed to strangers on a tour. It was also very difficult to ask her questions about the community because she talked nonstop the entire tour. I literally had to interrupt her multiple times to get any of my questions answered and in the end I just gave up trying to ask them. This staff member was a big reason why we chose the other community.

The staff is friendly and the Director is always available if the family has any questions or concerns. She does not mind being bothered with even the simplest of questions. The food quality is good, but sometimes depends on the day. We've had some issues with food hours. They say the dining room is open until 7pm, but it is always closing early and there have been some issues with limited food being available at later hours. Usually not a problem because most older people eat early, but this is not the case with my mother in law who likes to eat dinner late. The staff could be a little more proactive with certain care issues, like showers. They will address it if we ask, but sometimes it seems very reactive to our request. No place is perfect, but overall it is really good and we would definitely recommend it to others.

I was very grateful for how efficiently we were able to get my mom settled on short notice. The staff has been great. Staff communicated could improve a bit. I do think communication could improve. I usually have to find the nurse etc to find out how things are going. Recently my mom fell again so back to hospital and rehab. We haven't gone back to morning star yet, but now I believe her care will need to be elevated, so we will see how that goes. I did feel like we would have heard from them more during her hospital and rehab stay. I had to let them know how she was doing.

Our family had an in person tour and from everything we were able to experience on the tour and the different staff members we were able to meet we have to say we thought it was a good tour experience.

MorningStar of Beaverton was a very nice and clean facility. When you walk in it feels like you are in a hotel. I would not have minded moving my loved ones here. I was moving them from out of state and needed a lot of help, the lady I was working with was just not as proactive as we needed her to be.

This facility is very nice. My mom seems to have been able to be comfortable here very quickly, which was our biggest concern. She seems to enjoy the food. She's also made some friends here. The activities are really good. My only suggestion would be more outdoor activities, I'd like to see those- especially as the weather gets nicer. Housekeeping is once a week and they do a pretty good job. Communication with the family is very good. Overall, it's been a really good transition for mom. I would absolutely recommend this facility to family and friends.

My mother was placed in memory care and had to be moved to assisted living due to lack of communication among employees. I think the experience of getting a accepted there was a difficult process with not a lot of accurate information upfront. Once in and settled down things improved. Difficulty with phone system not always working, bus for transportation is only available Friday and Saturday which makes it hard to get to doctor appointments, lots of good music and people coming in to entertain, very friendly and competent care workers and med techs. Sometimes hard to get maintenance done .

They were doing what was expected, but she needed more help, than what they offered. Eveyone was really nice. The value for the money was average. If they can't offer the level of care that is needed, they should be more transparent/communicate or make the family aware of what level of care they can provide.

Make sure you have the emails and phone number to the medical staff and managers. I live far away and doctor appointments need to be coordinated with their driving staff. They only will transport two days a week. Staff is friendly and willing to help. Encourages involvement in activities.
