What an amazing place. Everyone came to introduce themselves on the day my mother moved in. They have all been so helpful and pleasant. We are very pleased we chose Siena Hills.

After interviewing thirteen retirement homes in December, we moved into Garden Court on February 1. Garden Court has met all our expectations plus a little more. They do a great job.

Parker Assisted Living by Morningstar was a wonderful facility for my Mom. She had been living in my home until she had a series of falls that required 6 weeks of rehab. She was not able to regain enough ability for me to continue to care for her at home, Parker Assisted Living was the perfect solution for her and our family. The staff is a wonderful collection of people who value our seniors. A Place for Mom was a tremendous help in helping us choose just the right care for my Mom. Donna, the Senior Advisor, helped me "keep my own wings level" as I went through the overwhelming process of finding just the right place for my Mom's care.

We visited about four communities in the Henderson NV area before we decided on this location. It was a hard decision, which became easier and easier with our experiences over time. The staff is wonderful. Their caring and friendliness is genuine. The staff presence is noticeable, which I really appreciate. The residents are independent but guidance and encouragement is available. My Mother was very decisive in what she wanted in her new home and April Fillingim was right there to make sure it happened. I also appreciate Rosa Jenkins and her medical supervision. I have trusted this community to care for my Mother and that is a very important task. I am thankful that I found this location and the people who work there.

I liked them but I did not take my dad to see them because I was afraid he would get lost there. It was a really big place. It's a very active community and the had really good arts and crafts programs there but I didn't think my dad would be able to negotiate the building. That was the only reason I didn't take him there. The place was clean and everyone seemed happy. I couldn't see any reason not to recommend this place.

This was our second choice. It was quite nice. The issue is that is was quite a ways a way from where my mother had been living before. Of the five places we visited we narrowed it down to this and one other. It was newer and had a very open, inviting dining room with lots of windows. It had lots of activities. If the Bonaventure Place had been closer we probably would have opted for this one. Location was the main factor in choosing another place. By far, Bonaventure had the best floor plans of any place we visited. They were very open and spacious.

Overall they are pretty excellent, not in every regard but they are getting there. Overall what they offer and provide like the food, the cleanliness of the community, the staff is friendly, respectful, attentive and courteous to residents and guest. They could improve in activities by offering a wider variety. These communities can always improve in the care giver to resident ratio. From what I have observed they currently have about 2 care givers to about 12-15 residents. This can always improve because then the care givers can understand each of the residents and visitor so they are clearer on each individual needs. My opinion towards Parker Assisted Living memory unit is very favorable and we would recommend it to anyone.

Having toured other facilities, Morning Star (new management) since January is a good fit for my mother. The location is good. The "dining experience" needs improvement. Thought there would be an "open door" policy with administration, but there is a " gate keeper" who needs to know why. During the tour of the new management, I had mentioned some concerns, but apparently it is not high on their list. I know what's best for my mom. The new management does not understand seniors. Everything keeps changing, and my mom finds it difficult to adjust.

Good food options, very clean, residents seem happy, and good sized rooms. Didn't know they didn't support memory care.

Disappointed that food allergies could not be accommodated in a better manner. Disappointed with administrative management - slow response Did not care for in-house medical doctor - slow response The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful-- but I was there every day My husband was fortunate to get well enough to come home. I had hoped we both might live there in an independent living situation but it would not be a good place for me.

It was large enough that she'd have people to interact with and make friends. I would recommend to others. [name removed] seems to feel well cared for.

What we like the most about the community is that their staff are pleasant, caring and loving. However, the meals are lacking in interest and flavor. Yes, I recommend MorningStar at Bear Creek, but it's expensive.

The food menu is very heavy on potatoes, rice, and pasta, and very light on vegetables and fruit.

The head nurse is amazing and always takes good care of them. The dining area is great because they know my mom has gluten intolerance so they’re very good at making sure she avoids it. The caregivers and med techs could use a bit more training on dealing with dementia patients. Naturally, they have a lot of residents to care for so I understand that what they do just becomes a job; it doesn’t help that my mom can be very difficult and angry. But I still wish they had more empathy for the residents. I also wish they would help me in cleaning out their place. It smells because neither of them shower. But I don’t know if that’s above and beyond their responsibility.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the facility is clean and well maintained, my parents enjoy the food. There are plentiful activities, though my dad isn't interested in them. The apartment is amply big, though the bigger places are not always available. I would move my father to a smaller one (he doesn't need the bigger one since Mom died), but I don't want to confuse him by changing his location.

The staff is nice and mostly have been great. I think a suggestion box would be useful as would an apartment/ equipment checklist before turning keys over to a new resident.

Toured the facility with my daughter for a place for my husband who is dealing with a long term healing process for a broken leg. The customer service quickly arranged for an assessment for care for my husband. We were on a fast track to get him placed. It happened. He is now in a studio apartment.

Apartment is large (1138 sf), and is well laid out with a complete kitchen 2 bedrooms w/ walking closets and 2 baths. Large island in kitchen area, patio, and full size W/D not stacked. Food is great, with variety but some standards as well. Staff have been very welcoming and the maintenance folks are making several accommodations for us. The attitude is that this is your home, so make it your own.

My mom lived here for about 6 months before we lost her. The management was great about allowing us to modify rooms to make them more accessible. The carestaff are all really great unfortunately we saw them running into staffing problems. The front desk ladies were really amazing. The food is very good but lacks rotation. It is easy to arrange transportation and having a doctor and pt on site is amazing.

The facility was beautiful and well maintained. I would absolutely recommend it to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.
