The community is very beautiful and inviting. There are always fun activities happening and the tenants seem to truly be enjoying their stay. The staff go above and beyond and treat the tenants as their own family; they always have smiles on their faces making it clear that they love what they do.

My Mom has been in Reed Place since 2011. She had a sudden and serious health condition that kept her and my father from staying on their farm. They were hesitant in the beginning, thinking they could eventually return to their house. Instead within a few months they loved the social interaction of being at Reed Place. Mom calls the residents family. They have appreciated the great care they have received, and we kids know they are safe and under good care.

Reed Place is a clean, safe, assisted living facility with friendly caring staff. The decor is very homey and comfortable. Some of the weekly activities include Bingo, cards and exercise. And there are several different mini church services.

My Grandparents really love it. There are a lot of activities and the facility is very nice.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a wonderful experience, it was one of our top choices but just to expensive for us.

One thing that really stuck out to us about Homestead of Olathe is after the first year of self pay they take Medicaid. It is a smaller place so residents are able to form closer relationships. I really liked the way they are set up, they have one building for independent living and assisted living and if they need extended Alzheimer's care, they have a separate building adjacent to the other building and it is set up exactly like the main facility so the residents are not confused or lost. I am very close with the administrative staff, they are super helpful and I feel like we are a team. I like that it is not a locked facility, it has a code entry which works great for the families. My mom is so happy here and says she has no complaints. If I had to go somewhere where I needed care, I would go here. I cannot say enough good about them, they are truly a Godsend.

This is a nice place for your loved one to be. I would recommend to take your loved one to see the community. If you can stay a little bit and see activities in the community you will be able to see how things go.

We chose Homestead Estates because of the price, they were cheaper than the other places we were looking into and they also offered memory care. The room sizes in memory care were average to other places. The facility did change hands about a year ago, the manager now has been in the industry a long time and his big thing is cleanliness. It is extremely clean and nice and all of the staff are very friendly. They were very easy to work, I have nothing but good things to say. I would absolutely recommend to others looking, we were very impressed.

The community is loving, caring, and empathetic towards the residents. I couldn't put my parents in a better place. The community works well with hospice. The food is pretty good for the residents. The portion sizes are good with wide variety. It would be helpful if more salads would be available for the residents.

It's a wonderful place for our loved one. She's enjoying being there. She loves the food. They have been very friendly and welcoming to visitors. There have been a couple of times they had to shut down due to Covid, but they were good about letting us know what was going on. Of course she misses her own home, but she is settling in nicely and is really enjoying the interactions with all the other people.

I toured this facility 2 separate times and the staff truly could not have been any nicer. They were so accommodating, understanding, and more than willing to help. I did feel like it seemed a little more nursing home-like and I did not think my mom was at that point in her life yet to need that type of care and environment. I would definitely recommend that others check them out.

I felt really good about the community. This community was a bit to far away from where I wanted my loved ones to be. They are still driving and we wanted them to be in an familiar area without the highway.

This community serves my needs very well. My loved ones are comfortable in their apartment and they have everything that they need. I also enjoy going over there to see my loved ones.

Our family had an in person experience and everything was really nice we had a good tour. However, the community was bigger then what we were looking for, we thought our loved one would have trouble navigating the place, but it was our second choice.

This community is the best to be in. They have a lot of activities like excising, devotionals and bible readings. We also have crafts and games. They keep us busy all the time. the staff are great here to me and all the residents.

This is an excellent community. This is a great place compared to the one that we came from. The staff are very great. The activity director seems to do a great job from the things that I have seen from when I was around.

The community keeps us well informed and we are happy knowing she is safe. The food is great and they have lots of activities for the residents. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

We chose it because of the newness, cleanliness, and convenient location for family. The staff members really took my mom under their wing and made her feel comfortable here. It is a very close knit group, everyone sits together and they do not stay in their rooms. They do offer a lot of activities and have a calendar and they have things on it everyday. She is really enjoying the food here. I am disappointed that they have not gotten their medicaid certification yet, the other homesteads have it but they have not gotten theirs yet, if it is not going to happen it would be nice to let me know. I would recommend to others looking.
