My mom has been at Chaucer for 1 1/2 years and they take EXCELLENT care of her needs. The staff is attentive and caring, and there have been several times when staff really went above and beyond to cater to her desires and needs. My mom enjoys the staff and the other residents at Chaucer. It's been a great new home for mom!

Mom loves this place! She has lived at Weatherwood for almost 5 years. We have had a few issues but they always respond. They treat her well and really care about her.

It is a wonderful place with friendly staff. It is a smaller size community. It has been a good experience. The room sizes are great. The food is good. They have an outdoor space for residents to use. It is right next to a lake, so wonderful views. No place will be perfect all the time but they try to make it the best possible experience.

My dad and I both live here in the community. We just need more residents to move in.

Beautiful community with friendly, engaging and welcoming staff! My mother is truly cared for here. The attention to detail is something like I have never seen in a community and would recommend it to anyone who is looking. I would give 10 stars if I could!

The cottages are very spacious and very nice. They are well maintained. Everyone is attentive and helpful. Very responsive and accommodating. We are excited to move in! Prices are reasonable too! Close to shopping.

[Name removed] and all of the staff at Abilene Place were a blessing during mom's final days. We could not have hoped for a better spot for her. We live in Abilene and have visited Abilene Place on Halloween and other holidays and were always impressed. The residents seemed happy and the staff attentive and professional. We were lucky enough to be able to get mom into Abilene Place when we moved her close to us and would definitely make the same choice again.

Giving Homestead Assisted Living of Lenexa, 5 stars. A warm, small caring place. My mother was there for 2 1/2 years and received wonderful care. Excellent communication with the staff. The rooms are nice, residents are checked on several times a day, many activities, good meals. It is a place like home.

Mom has lived at Chaucer for 5-7 years. She passed away [date removed]. Everyone was great and Mom liked it very well. When she passed away a lot of the staff and nurses shed a lot of tears. Staff and nurses do a great job, food good, rooms clean and a very busy activity center. Different programs all the time. I would recommend Chaucer very much. Will miss seeing staff and nurses.

The staff members have been friendly and supportive from the beginning of our experience with Emporia Place. There was thorough explanation of policy and paper work that was involved with my mother's move. Over-all, we are pleased with the care, and the facility itself. My mother has joined in with most of the activities and feels safe and secure in her apartment. We would recommend Emporia Place to others looking to make a change for a loved one.

The place you pick should fit your needs. For my mom, this was exactly what she needed. It was time to move her from her independent living apartment where she was not able to be monitored for progressing memory issues. This smaller place (less than 40 residents, all on one level), with a variety of apartment options, was made for her. I cannot say enough good things about this place. She loves the sunny apartment that all her furniture fit into, which made her transition easier. Having a smaller population allows the staff to make frequent visits during the day and evening to check on them, encourage them to get out and socialize, take them on outings (she had a picnic at SM Park last month) and keep us informed of issues and changes noticed. Menus ARE posted as are activities and menus are printed out for residents and family. The nurses are great ...as are the aids, kitchen staff and front office. They have become family to us and her. There are family events to get everyone to know each other. Though you may shy away from the decor that is less modern than other places, it's clean and homey for the residents. If what is most important is your trust of the staff to give loving care for your parent, this is the place to be.

Very clean facility. Professional, welcoming, and kind staff. They treat each resident like family and with respect. Would recommend this facility to anyone looking for assisted living or memory care for a loved one.

Homestead is a caring, warm, clean living facility with a very good staff. The staff is friendly and competent. My only suggestion would be for the facility to take residents to the senior center in Derby. I would recommend this assisted living facility.

Emporia Place has been a blessing in so many ways for our family. The moment you walk in the door your feel as though you're entering a home rather than a long term care facility. The staff goes over and beyond to provide excellent care for our mother and treat her like family. They are always hosting events, parties, and different activities that keep the residents entertained and involved. The staff is extremely competent, trustworthy, and always willing to make any request we have a reality. Knowing that my mother is well cared for, happy, and enjoying life each and every day is all I could ever ask for and we have Emporia Place to thank for that. They truly love my family as their own and that in itself is irreplaceable. Emporia Place Staff--THANK YOU!!

My mom and dad have been here for a few years now, my mom has Alzheimer's, my dad is now showing signs of dementia and they are both 90 years old, so they have not been the easiest to deal with, but the staff at Emporia Place are so very kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful. My mom and dad like everyone, and they have adjusted well thanks to all the help and love they receive everyday from the staff. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone because they treat you like family and they genuinely care about you. There is a salon in house, so bad hair days are really easy, exercise classes, art room, movie nights with comfy seating and large screen tv and they have a laundry area for you to do your own if you like, or they do it for you. The dining area is big and nice, the food is good, and they give you a selection to chose from. They also will provider walkers, if needed and anything they feel you need they generally take care of it for you. They provide transportation and they have group outings. The outdoor court yard is very nice also. It is truly a great place.

A Place For Mom was a great help to our family. We had no experience in finding an assisted living facility. Vintage Park at Osage City, Kansas, is wonderful, with good caring people and is also affordable.

Our mother recently passed away. She had been at Chaucer Estates for almost 5 years. During that time we did not ever have any problems with the care that they provided her. They checked on her frequently and were good to her.

Locations is GREAT. We enjoy that there is quality in every aspect of the property. Office Mgmt is also superb. Love love [Name removed]... Few features my wife and I enjoy would be 24/7 help, exercise room (they have what I like to use), golf course (it's right there), and the great management that'll come with!

Rather than feeling like we were giving up on our independence and lifestyle after selling our home, The Fairways of Ironhorse, with its style, amenities, location and service is definitely going to enhance our next "chapter". Each and everyone of the people we have met and interacted with has gone out of their way to find out what is really important to us, and to make is feel that we are really part of a community.
