We did a virtual tour and knew almost immediately this would not be a good fit for my mother at this stage. However, the administrator doing the tour was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. She did a great job on the tour itself. The facility is small which is not a bad thing. However, I just don't think this is going to be a good fit at this point.

There were some little slips along the way in the community, such as cable not working for a while for my loved one. I would make sure they do the proper paperwork. The administration side was terrible. They didn't have all the notes for my loved ones. I wasn't pleased and they even changed managers within the first 30 days of my loved one's move in.

Don't go here. They did not do what they said they would. The person in charge was not concerned about the residents. Bedsores are a real problem there. The food was terrible. The layout was fine. I have nothing good to say about Timberwood. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Assisted Living may be okay but Memory Care was not. My wife was is in Memory Care. They do not follow their regulations. They do not have housekeeping in Memory Care. I had to clean and vacuum myself. They would put new sheets over a saturated urine pad. I had to change her diapers and clothes myself. I was not happy with the level of care.

You need to be diligent and go often to get to know the staff taking care of your loved one. My mom did not like the food. The layout of the community and room sizes are adequate. They have a nice outdoor courtyard for residents to use. They have a high turn over rate for staff.

On the small side, but location is nice. Beautiful scenery with a majority of facility facing the lake. Staff was friendly and helpful. Interior could use some attention with fresh paint and carpet. Main drawback for us was lack of full time medical staff embedded at facility.

My mom was staying here before she had to go into rehab and after she left rehab to come back, they wouldn’t take her back. The nurse that had been working with my mom said that she was at the same level of care as she was before leaving, however the new director disagreed and said she was past a level of care that they could handle even though she had never actually met my mom or done an evaluation. They’ve had some significant management turnover it seems and they seem to be going downhill a great deal. I would not recommend them.

The Vintage Park at Lenexa is a nice and clean community. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. We were looking for smaller, more rooms on one level type of community.

For the most part my grandmother is doing okay since her move to this community . However I do have some concerns. I do feel they could be quicker with their response time to our concerns . Also the communication with the administration and staff could be better. She needed a new earring aid , and nobody informed me , they could do better with the monitoring of her needs . Other than those issues the staff is friendly . They do a good job with the cleanliness. They provide nice meals, and good activities for the residents. I would say it depends on your personality, or loved one. I'am not saying I wouldn't recommend this community, but it depends on the person overall.

Beautiful facility, but they are not equipped to deal with serious demenia issues. Not enough qualified nursing staff available- only one nurse in charge of all the residents. New management seem much less compassionate in regard to the many problems involving senior residents. High turnover rate of employees and new seemingly cold hearted executive director.

The staff at this community have been wonderful to my loved one, they have been attentive to her needs and have made sure she is comfortable in her living environment. The meals have been healthy and well proportioned for her with lots of variety.

Enjoyed talking to Bill. Learned a lot.double occupancy is too small however. Very friendly staff there.

This was originally a decent place fo my loved one. Now it is nearly at capacity and there is not enough staff to take care of the residents. The turnover rate in the staff is extremely high. Several staff members have indicated that they enjoyed working at Twin Oaks, but cannot afford to, because they don't get enough hours and therefore they get no benefits. They supposedly address any dietary needs, but their meals cannot be called diabetic friendly at all. They allow for substitutions if the meal being served has too many starches/carbs but ever those are not diabetic friendly. They need to offer more vegetables and fresh fruits instead of three different kinds of potatoes. Meal time that is supposed to be one hour often takes 90 minutes or more due to the lack of staff.

We toured here when we were looking at options. It was a less expensive option, but smelled like urine. The licensed nursing staff was only on call, they were not on site 24/7. I didn't have any confidence in their facility manager from my experience.

I have an Aunt who live here. Food is the biggest problem. She likes the facilities and the people are friendly, but the food. A corn dog and a cookie is not a very big or healthy lunch. Other meals as just as skimpy and low nutrition. I hope some one will do something about it.

My loved one was at this community for a time, and while generally things went well it ended up not working out as a permanent option. The rooms here were nice, they were more spacious than many we looked at in the same price range. I also felt like the the care staff, the nurse and CNAs, did an excellent job (although my loved one said they could have been more attentive). One issue we had is that the director wasn't very responsive when it came to feedback, there was a lack of acknowledgement of issues and follow-through. However the deal-breaker for us was the food. It really just was not good at all. Food was something my loved one derived a lot of enjoyment from, and he felt like he had nothing to look forward to here. I tried it myself a few times, and it really was not acceptable.

We didn't like the decor. We though it was, in general, not as cheery, bright, or open. The rooms were not as cheery. It seemed overall not to be quite as cleanly. Part of that was just because it wasn't as well lit. There was an overall feeling of it being darker.

(Value Not Rated) Granville is a one level community. The prices are comparable to other communities in the area. Behind the community there is a place that they park semi trailers. Overall they are an average community that really has nothing that separates it from the other communities in the area.
