They've done a good job overall with the care at this facility. The care staff have all been very friendly and professional, and they keep the facility looking well kept and clean. I did have one issue that I was very unsatisfied with. They had a whirlpool tub, which was supposed to be part of my loved ones care package, that was out of commission for at least a month and a half. I really had to stay on top of them and make repeated phone calls before they got someone in to fix it.

Looks like a nice facility. Assisted living tour not real informative. Independent living tour very good.

Got mom moved in and she is happy. I visit nearly everyday and she is dressed, her hair is combed. We had a small issue in the beginning with getting her hearing aide in the correct ear, but now all is good. When I went Monday, someone had curled her hair and painted her nails... a personal touch is always nice. She is in the commons area most days and walks the halls with some of the other ladies.

My sister and I visited Homestead. The facility and rooms seem very comfortable. We were impressed with The Director and the staff. At this time we are not ready to make a commitment. We feel one thing that must be done before we go any further is to get him evaluated by the Dept of Aging. I have kept all the information and will be contacting other places to visit, but right now I think we need to get Dad evaluated and then decide if Memory Care or Skilled Nursing is the most appropriate. Homey and casual. A little worn. RN not site evenings or weekends. Not sure about ability to flush neo-bladder. May need home health nurse. I feel he would fit in and enjoy caregiver but she was not impressed.

Great visit with the Director. She's a respected resource in this industry. I have had a great relationship with her in the past. She wrote me a very sweet email expressing her condolences for Mom's passing and expressing compassion for now having health issues with Dad. We owe it to Teresa, like Lori Lee at the Court, to take a serious look at Homestead. 2 Gerontology MD's make visits on site. They have a pharmacy of their own Some concerns about staffing with nursing LPN daily 6/wk and on call 24/7 Carol, RN and regional director works out of their facility Each shift has a CNA and a CMA Accept medicaid after 2 years Did not price this out yet. We thought the rooms at Homestead of Del City were very small for the price and what the community had to offer. It was an older building, and farther from where we live as well. It wasn’t a bad place - it just wasn't for us.

We are having to buy a lot of snacks due to our loved one doesn't like the food. It seems the community is serving a lot of basic food. The medical staff has been responsive to our loved one's needs. They keep us updated on our loved one. The staff that directly takes care of my loved one, seems to put off some of my loved one's daily needs. There recently has been a small staff breakout of COVID. The community has been testing the residents of COVID, and my loved one's test has come back negative.

Any issues I've had with the facility and the staff have been addressed immediately or they were in the process of working on the issue. The Manager is usually available to talk either by phone or text and keeps me apprised of any issues. The only problems I have experienced first hand were lack of personnel on the weekends to support the facility. One day recently I was able to come visit only because I was in town and when I arrived the alarm was going off and had been for 30 minutes. No one was even doing anything about trying to turn it off and the fire department hadn't even arrived and they hadn't let the residents know what was going on. When the fire department arrived no one was there to even turn the alarm off. So basically they didn't have the right people to support for the weekend, even though it was a holiday weekend. They were having issues with the kitchen staff and the food wasn't being delivered or the wrong meal/incomplete meals were being delivered. When I addressed this to the Manager, they fixed it with new staff because the person they were having an issue with had quit. They even had an issue where the person didn't show up one day and the staff went to McDonalds to get food for the residents. Very nice people, however the rooms and bathrooms need to be updated.

I really like that my mother is getting a lot of social interaction. The staff is very friendly and communicate very well. The community offers many activities my mother has been playing bingo, singing, and having bible study. I really wish the rooms were bigger, when we visit my mother we have limited space.

I think they are fine. It has just been rocky and it is hard to keep good aides. Everyone is trying hard here though, there are a few caretakers that are not great, but they are weeded out. Overall it is pretty good though. It could be better, but they are trying.

I was there twice and in my opinion it didn't really seem like they cared if they got my business or not. They showed me around a little bit but that was about it. Their price was higher than other ones too so that wasn't too appealing.

I’ve gotten good feedback from hospice and visitors. However, I’m concerned that she has fallen twice since I put her in on [date removed]. I get the impression that they are trying, but I feel they should be more experienced in handling challenges from dementia.

The billing is not clear or easily understood. Acceptance on faith is frustrating. Office staff could use more training and meals could be more adaptable to senior palattes. And there could be more maintenance. Seniors with dementia are not going to ask, or only ask once. More care should be given to knowing what's up with the patients instead of waiting for them to ask.

My questions are ..... not being notified with changes ... the information is on letters left in residence room.... I live 7 hrs away ... I don't have this info... her bill is sent to me every month ... not sure why this info is not included for those of us not right there close. Mirror for my aunts dresser is still sitting on the floor by the wall waiting for maintenance to put it up as I was told they would almost a year ago . Trying to get her a haircut at facility .... still not done ... they say she needs to put her name in the list .... I've called couple times to get this done .... still waiting . I'm so very thankful that I got her to your facility.... she is safe .... good to eat ... staff that checks on her .... but ... some of this concerns me. I leave messages for some one to call me ... but ... no response. She's pays a lot for this facility.... not sure why every thing is a struggle to get answers .

The facility is overall clean. My friend's room was never real clean. My friend (the resident) says the food isn't very good. I haven't seen any activities in the back unit where my friend resides now other than watching TV in the common area. Based on what I've seen at other facilities, the value for cost is good.
