I think they are fine. It has just been rocky and it is hard to keep good aides. Everyone is trying hard here though, there are a few caretakers that are not great, but they are weeded out. Overall it is pretty good though. It could be better, but they are trying.

I was there twice and in my opinion it didn't really seem like they cared if they got my business or not. They showed me around a little bit but that was about it. Their price was higher than other ones too so that wasn't too appealing.

I’ve gotten good feedback from hospice and visitors. However, I’m concerned that she has fallen twice since I put her in on [date removed]. I get the impression that they are trying, but I feel they should be more experienced in handling challenges from dementia.

The billing is not clear or easily understood. Acceptance on faith is frustrating. Office staff could use more training and meals could be more adaptable to senior palattes. And there could be more maintenance. Seniors with dementia are not going to ask, or only ask once. More care should be given to knowing what's up with the patients instead of waiting for them to ask.

My questions are ..... not being notified with changes ... the information is on letters left in residence room.... I live 7 hrs away ... I don't have this info... her bill is sent to me every month ... not sure why this info is not included for those of us not right there close. Mirror for my aunts dresser is still sitting on the floor by the wall waiting for maintenance to put it up as I was told they would almost a year ago . Trying to get her a haircut at facility .... still not done ... they say she needs to put her name in the list .... I've called couple times to get this done .... still waiting . I'm so very thankful that I got her to your facility.... she is safe .... good to eat ... staff that checks on her .... but ... some of this concerns me. I leave messages for some one to call me ... but ... no response. She's pays a lot for this facility.... not sure why every thing is a struggle to get answers .

The facility is overall clean. My friend's room was never real clean. My friend (the resident) says the food isn't very good. I haven't seen any activities in the back unit where my friend resides now other than watching TV in the common area. Based on what I've seen at other facilities, the value for cost is good.

Very much individual would ask about their situation. I picked this community because of the cost and room available. It's a nice kitchen and layout of studio apt.

Staff is great, the director is to busy reminding people that "we are assisted living". Their idea of assisted living is not the same as mine. The staff will help assist people to the dining room for meals but director will admonish staff for assisting to and from meals. An example of a meal pulled pork on a bun and a roll, who does that!!! Carb loading. I will say that there are canned fruits available and some fresh. The residents would like more side salads A lot of individuals are not notified of outings or it's posted so late that the residents can't go due to limited space. We are now at a facility that we pay less for, more assistance for my husband They assist him with daily shower, dressing and undressing, bringing to and from meals. The apartment is larger.

Most of the staff is friendly but there seems to be constant staff turnover & seems to be short staffed as there is long wait time after pushing call button. No consistency in laundry & shower schedule. Have lost personal items while there.

We picked it because it was close to where my dad lives. I would say some of the staff was friendly, but we probably would not pick it again. The food was so-so, staff was friendly, care wasn't great, and it was expensive.

They were ok. Just too expensive. The care was good though. The facility was too big. Did not have one on one care.

In case of choking, none of the staff (except for the administrator and medical person) can do CPR. One of the aides is very rude to me. There are 2 clients who are mentally deficient, hearing deficient, loud when talking and enters others rooms without permission. Staff enters clients' rooms daily when rooms are locked... I would not recommend Homestead of Osceola.

Our family had an in person tour and it overall was a nice tour experience. The community seemed fairly new, but we just got a cold feeling to it compared to others we had looked at. We did like how it had a underground parking garage, but it sits right off a very busy street with constant traffic. Also it looks more like independent living whereas we were needed more assisted living. However there were people constantly coming and going.

Our family had an in person tour and they only have assisted living and we were looking for a community that also have nursing care. The residents there seemed to be more able bodied and moving around more. Also when we pulled up there was a group of residents outside smoking cigarettes and our loved one had cancer at one point and we just did not want to deal with that. The building was older and just looked much older.

I toured this community and it was good. They were very polite and professional.

We toured with Homestead of Olathe and thought it was nice, but the room sizes here were just way too small.

This was our second choice but they told us they could not take her because they did not have enough staff.

One of my loved one's main complaints is if you miss mealtimes, they're not very accommodating. There is food to eat, but if you're late by even a few minutes, you could miss out on a hot meal. She enjoys the activities she can participate in, but some aren't geared toward / inclusive of people who are differently abled. The staff are very responsive when I come to them with concerns or questions. And the facility always looks lovely.

I've been here about 6 months. It seemed ok at first then the wheels seemed to come off. At one point I didn't get my medications for 3 days. Believe me, I for sure need ALL of my meds every day. No apology at all. If you are sick and need to stay in your room, good luck getting fed. There isn't an RN on duty ever. An LPN is the head nurse and the rest might be CNA's. No transportation at all. You are on your own. The oven hasn't worked in 5 months. The ice machine broke and it took 2 weeks to get fixed. Super short handed. Everyone leaves for better paying jobs and better hours. Oh my! The food leave alot to be desired. One night our dinner was half a sandwich and a few Cheetos. Did I mention that the parent company is extremely cheap. All of the food comes in frozen. The hamburger steaks they serve are the same ones in a Banquet frozen dinner. People are basically wearhoused here. There is very little if any medical care. Medicine mistakes are a problem. I can catch them but most don

We had a good tour at Homestead of Del City. But I didn’t like where the room was that they had available.
