My mom enjoys the community and has adjusted well. The communication with the staff is pretty good, some of this has to do with the pandemic. I wish the communication on occasion could be better. My loved one enjoys the food and having it be prepared for her.

I chose Timberwood because the price was less then the others and the house was bigger. It is about 1,700 square feet with a 2 car garage attached to it. The staff members here have been very friendly and helpful. It is is a good place to come live.

They are pretty good about keeping in touch with the families, and just with speaking with our loved one over the phone we know that they are doing a good job checking in with her. We were very impressed with the way it looked when we first visited, it was super clean and all the residents who were eating their meals looked to be having a good time. Our loved one just received her shots so they are doing a good job protecting their clients.

It is expensive but my loved one is getting good care. I like the community and the people especially. The staff treats my loved one better than I could treat her. They have kept us informed during the pandemic.

I would recommend you be hands on with the care staff for your loved one and make sure the staff does what you want done. The staff was good at communicating via phone or visit. They were prompt in response to any of the questions I had.

We chose Homestead of Owasso because someone that we knew was here and they were happy with it. They have several room sizes and they seem more than adequate. The best part about the community so far would be the activities director communication. Anything I have questions about she is quick to answer and attentive to our needs. Overall, I would recommend.

We really like the nursing staff and the manager, our only complaint we have about the place is over the weekends there are no regular staff members. The rooms are nice, and our loved ones thing the food is good.

prior to covid, it was the best for money, but as we all know covid caused issues for everyone. Room sizes are above average, and the food was satisfactory with a good variety. I would recommend this facility to others.

We have been very happy here. There have been some changes with the staff, and the jury is out on the changes. The room size is great, and the food is good and mom seems to like it. I would recommend this facility.

this is a smaller facility at an economical price point conveniently located for access to Tinker AFB with nearby amenities Easy to find, the Timberwood is located is on SW 44th Street close to Sooner Road (and Tinker AFB). A short drive down 44th Street brings you to a CVS Pharmacy to handle prescription needs. A number of nearby small restaurants are favored for Monday lunch group excursions. The staff is friendly and supportive. There is an onsite beauty shop and an activities coordinator on staff. The facility is open and light with a welcoming fireplace and clean. And it's always nice to meet your neighbors who enjoy watching TV together, enjoying the fireplace, holding group meeting, enjoying events in the main area or bingo, books, puzzles in side hall seating areas. The lemonade is excellent! And it's nice to enjoy a cup of coffee together.

My mom has been there since [date removed]. We really liked that it was a small community and had a warm family feel. Although through the years there have definitely been issues. There has been a lot of turnover, the cleanliness of the place was not up to par. Laundry was an issue, as well as the food! All of the staff we loved quit and several residents moved. We hung in there because my mom likes it there and every place has issues. True, some more than others but what is different about Homestead is they were aware of the many issues and trying to fix them. Recently, we got a new LOCAL Regional Vice President. And she is very experienced and involved. We have formed a family council and she has been at our meetings. Which is not the case with other facilities. I have to also say that she has gotten more done than anyone has in the last few years! It is wonderful. She has brought back several wonderful past employees. And has hired a new chef. They are working on the menu to include several items to choose from. Fresh soup of the day, not canned! A waffle station as well as an omelet station. And in the spring, renovations should begin to bring the facility up to date. We are finally moving in the right direction! I certainly would not rule this place out for your loved one. The one thing I can give 5 stars to, is the activities director!! Wow, is she wonderful. The facility has a new van and they go on several outings, lunch bunch and more. Lots of activities! I still believe that Homestead will be the best it ever has been and there will be a waiting list to get in.

This is an older building but it was still nice and was wonderfully clean and fresh smelling. The staff clearly love their jobs with several long time employees. The residents were all on a friendly joking basis with the staff and enjoyed visiting with guests like us touring. There were lots of socialization. The rooms are clean, comfortable and will be perfect for my mom. This place is everything we are looking for.

Very nice - Probably Assisted living a better choice. Nice 1 bedroom with a den. Everything on ground level. Pet friendly - just not convenient to put dog out, as no back door.

I really don't think that I can give a review due to the fact that this was the first place I toured and have nothing to compare it to. It was clean and very nice looking. [Name removed] was very knowledgeable and friendly. I really don't know what questions I should be asking and such. Oh yea one more thing I can't give 5 stars because that sorta means perfect and nothing is perfect.

Chaucer has been a good transition for mom and appreciate [name removed] at A Place for Mom for helping us find this senior community for her. The price is good for what she receives, the meals and activities are good and the independent housing is perfect for her now with advancement in care if /when she needs it.

The activities director left [date removed] and she still hasn't been replaced. The apartments are not routinely cleaned, you need to complain to get it done. My mother is supposed to get a shower 2 times a week, but she's lucky to get it once a week. Almost everyone is very friendly, but with most places like this, they try to make it work with a skeleton crew. All things considered, my mother is satisfied where she is. She has Carter in home services and I can't say enough about the great care she gets from them. I'm very happy with every one of the Carter people.

Timberwood is a lovely place. Activities are great but I wish I could be there more often. (My schedule does not permit. ) Mom is well taken care of and when something unsatisfactory comes up it is just a matter of presenting it kindly and it is remedied quickly. Food is good and made on premises. Everyone is friendly and pleasant.

It's actually really nice. They quoted us $5000 total. Douglas county has free donation only transport for doctors. quiet country, no garage, big deluxe one bedroom. We really liked the place and the manager. It is a drive to their doctors but much closer to us.

This facility is people oriented and my overall experience has been pleasant. The staff members check on my Mother a lot and they give her the liberty to do some things on her own when she wants to. One thing I liked is the housekeeping staff came in and showed us how to set the room up to allow her more room to walk around. They are also very good at keeping her room clean. Like any other facility, there have been a few bumps in the road in the beginning. There was some issue of miscommunication and when I gave them one of her medications, somehow it didn’t make it to her. The other thing that is a small issue is that when my mom receives her food, it’s sometimes cold. I would recommend this facility to other families.
