I think it's a very nice place. I always feel very welcomed there when I visit. Everyone is very friendly. The administrator is a very nice woman and has helped me out immensely. It's always very tidy. My friend, who is a very picky eater, says the food is pretty good.

They have a good director who was great at communicating with us and doing follow up. Unfortunately there were poor reviews on the community.

The director and staff are very good, however, the quality and the condition of the facility leaves something to be desired. They do have a pending remodel and it does need it, but its still a good facility in my opinion. Communication between the staff and me & my family has been very good. They always get in touch with me, and they usually contact me by phone call. Their memory care unit is all on one floor, and I do feel that Homestead is a safe and secure place for my loved one. The only complaint that anyone could have is on the state of the facility itself, but again they're addressing that. Overall I would recommend Homestead Estates of Wichita to others.

[Name Removed] provided a tour answering all questions very efficiently and thoroughly. I was very impressed with the cleanliness but more so with the "lockdown" security provided at the facility. The rooms are spacious, and a very nice view of the courtyard. So far extremely pleased.

I toured Homestead of Overland Park, and its décor needed updating. It was a small community, but I didn't mind the size. They didn't have an in-house rehab facility, which is something I would prefer. My dad has Parkinson's and trouble with his feet, and I didn't like the shower. He'd have to step up and into the shower and that was really the kicker for us. The bathroom was also small, he wouldn't have been able to fit his wheelchair in there. They had carpet in the rooms, and if you didn't want carpet they had linoleum instead. For the price you pay for these facilities; you should have options of laminate flooring, etc..

I toured Homestead of Olathe, and it wasn't a good fit ( location wise). The inside was also very dated; very 90's with the color mauve, lots of carpet, and a funny cleaning agent-like smell. The rooms weren't bad, but the bathrooms weren't very big. My loved one uses an electric wheelchair, and their hallways were kind of narrow so he wouldn't be able to get around easily. I was also a bit frustrated with Homestead because I set up a tour and they didn't have a room available, nor did they know when they'd have vacancy. Although they were nice, it kind of felt like they wasted my time.

I toured Vintage Park at Stanley and I was okay with the location. The only room they had available would have to be accessed through a flight of stairs. They did have elevator accesses, but my loved one would not be able to navigate stairs in the event of an emergency. We preferred a room on the bottom or first floor. Because of that, Vintage Park was not a good fit for us.

Our loved one really enjoys her little apartment, but sometimes when she has questions or needs assistance she can't really get the questions answered or assistance in a timely manner. She also says sometimes the food is a little bland.

it's really a great community, my mom likes it here. they're friendly and it's small, so it feels more like a home. you get to know all the residents. the facility itself is also very nice. the only thing that could use some improvement is the communication. it's good when I ask and they are very forthcoming; but I don't always know everything. maybe if my mom is doing fine they don't see a reason to contact me (and may not want to bother me), but I would appreciate more frequent updates without me having to ask. I'm also unsure if they've rehired a new activities director, they lost theirs a few weeks ago. so I'm unsure how many activities the residents are participating in.

My father moved in the summer of [date removed] before Covid locked everything down so we had a chance to get him settled in. During the pandemic when we were not able to visit, staff kept us up to date. Fortunately dad is still able to use his cell phone and reliably communicate what is going on. It was still reassuring to have a second set of eyes on him. I am POA and closest family but still 90 minutes away. I still have a full time job, 4 kids in town and grandchildren. I try to get back to Denison at least once a month to visit. Otherwise we keep in touch by phone and staff calls monthly to give me updates and ask if I have any concerns. Why didn't I give it 5 stars? The staff, cleanliness, meals, laundry and other ammenities make it a solid 4-stars. No amount of staff or money can make any facility 5-star. Home is the 5-star. When that is no longer feasable, this is the next best thing.

Reed Place provide a community where my family member has care, when needed, 24 hours a day. It’s a relief to have housekeeping, cleaning, and meal prep services.

The location of this community is very convenient for our family which we like and we would recommend Homestead of Owasso to other familes.

The guy who gave us the tour was extremely friendly. It just did not feel like the right fit for my loved one, it is a little run down. They do take Medicaid which is great, they were one of the only ones in the area that I could find who did.

I think they're excellent. I regularly get calls form the staff when there are concerns. They are all very communicative. I see the head nurse out on the floor all the time. In memory care, everyone needs a fair amount of attention, and they take excellent care of my mother there. They do very well with the activities, and they continuously try to get her to participate. It's expensive but comparable to other places. It's worth it for the excellent care they give to my mother.

The manager here is wonderful, and I like it here. The food delivery needs to be more efficient but they have lots of activities and things to do. I highly recommend this community to others based on my experience.

The staff and the management are very receptive. If there is an issue, they own it. They don't try to give you excuses for anything. They've been very helpful. I think the facility is very nice. It's much more intimate than the another facility our loved one lived at previously, which is good. The menu looks good, and my loved one says the food is fine. They give the residents a calendar of activities for the month, and they usually have several things scheduled every day. They also try to get the residents outside as much as they can.

We were very impressed with the facilities & the staff at Homestead Estates, it is a very nice place. The only thing standing in our way was the cost. The lowest monthly payment would be $3800, dad only makes $3500 a month & makes some monthly bill payments. We have no other source of income. The staff seemed very friendly, the apartments were very spacious & the facilities were very clean.I could see my dad living there, if we could afford it.

Vintage Park was very nice. We just ended up deciding that my loved one wasn't ready for assisted living just yet, that independent living would be a better fit. They were very accommodating and clear about my mom’s needs. As far as memory issues, they were very reassuring. I saw residents going in and out, which was reassuring as we were touring during Covid. I liked that the residents were able to leave and move about, even though we didn’t go into the facility because of restrictions. She showed us around outside and sat with us on the porch. All that was fine - it felt like she was being responsible and following the regulations she was supposed to. I would have loved to have seen inside though!

We chose Vintage Park Of Paola because it was close to home. The room sizes here are appropriate for what his needs are at the moment. The only problem we had was we had incident when someone didn't help him with a shower properly and he fell and had to go to urgent care. Overall it has been a good experience and I would recommend.
