I feel secure here. I’ve met some great friends . I was nervous moving in that I wouldn’t know anyone but I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the people are here. To top it off I absolutely love my apartment and my screened in porch for my kitties. I love living here

This facility offers all of the activities and benefits I was seeking and is staffed by a caring and empathetic group dedícated to seeing to the wellbeing of everyone here. The facility is well maintained and easy to navigate. It is also close to many conveniences such as groceries, post office,a variety of stores, restaurants, and good medical facilites.plus transportation is available free within a ten mile radious, shopping outings are planned regularly, and full day outings also. Over all a truly plesant place to live.

The staff and residents are so welcoming. Very positive experience from interacting with all the people there. My dad has a studio apt which overlooks the courtyard. Always activities happening and the food in the dining room is so yummy looking. Can’t think of a better place for my dad to live at. He’s 97 and needs help with certain things but can still remain pretty independent with his own apartment. Also, dogs and cats are welcome there which always makes people smile when they come in contact with a resident’s pet. Total win-win.

Very helpful welcoming staff. [name removed] was a great liaison for my sister for meds that were as needed. The staff that gave showers went over and beyond to make her feel as though she could still look nice. Overall great experience.

I would give them a 10 for everything. There are so many activities. There are various room sizes, and the staff is wonderful. I would absolutely recommend them, it is the best one in Santa Cruz.

From the initial tour to move in was smooth. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, empathetic and accessible. The Pines, Garden House, has a good staff to resident ratio. There are stimulating activities available daily which residents can passively or actively participate in if they desire. As a family member, I'm happy we made the move for my loved one.

I visited with my mom and was impressed all around. The staff was friendly. The residents were welcoming. The food was excellent and there were lots of options. Everything was modern and clean. The shared spaces were very nice. There seemed to be lots of activities. The price was reasonable for the amount of amenities included. My mom has since moved in and hasn’t been disappointed.

We are still dealing here with the damage from two hurricanes in two weeks last fall. A second Rruewood property locally has been sold and some employees and a few residents are moving to this one. These events have understandably caused a bit of chaos; however, the staff are very kind and caring and committed to making sure the residents are very well cared for. The building is being spruced up and the landscaping (damaged by the hurricanes) is scheduled for attention. I feel like I have come in at a time of progress and improvement, which makes me feel secure and happy to have made this move.

Mom has adjusted well and is very happy in her new environment. Staff is caring and keeps the family well informed which reinforces our decision to place mom in their facility. Mom is kept occupied with lots of activities and loves it. She has made lots of friends and is now very social and outgoing where before she was very introverted.

I would rate them five on everything. They've been absolute phenomenal with my sister who is permanent resident there now.

Food is very good. And it is very clean. The have never seen them. I don't think any of the rooms are a full size apartment. There is a very small kitchenette. My room does not have a bedroom. I am in here for assisted living. The staff is very helpful.

It is a great place, we are very happy with it. I think they are a 5 on everything. My mother is very happy there and very well cared for. It is a huge improvement over her previous facility. Most of the staff, an administrative. Personnel have been there long-term, which adds to greater stability for the care of the residents. The place also has just a wonderful feel to it, and it's very welcoming.

My husband now lives in Garden House, the memory care section of Merrill Gardens. The staff have all been so very patient and kind to him (and me too) as he goes through the transition period of being a new resident. They have encouraged him to join in with the other residents in activities that are planned daily. They know all the residents well and always treat them with respect. They also maintain good contact with me to coordinate his care. He is in good hands!

My mom is in the memory care part of The Pines. The staff are always smiling and seem to take pride in their work. They contact me directly if there are any issues. Because my mom was wondering around at night she couldn't be admitted to assisted living part. She wasn't diagnosed with dementia so she couldn't be admitted to memory care. Merrill Gardens made an exception and got her placed in memory care.

I enjoy living here very much. I think all of the people that work here are very interested in us and they want to make us as happy as possible. My favorite thing about living here at turners rock is our activity director, [name removed]. He is truly the best and makes and the other residents very happy

The staff kindness and caring are better than a 5. It was new and modern and clean. The staff and my Mom had friends that were already there.

We visited several senior living facilities around Springfield and Nixa for place for my Mom. We were very unimpressed with most all for various reasons. It wasn't until we visited Mission Ridge that we found a place that my Mom and us were truly happy with. Some of the high points were the genuinely friendly staff from the front desk to the waiters in the cafeteria, she has now been there 3 weeks and she continues to talk about how friendly everyone is and how much she enjoys it there. Food is great and the range of social events are perfect for her. For her this was a life changing event moving from a home to a living faculty like this and the overall experience has been exceptional. I higly recoment Mission Ridge to anyone looking.

I found it very helpful that their staff was able to respond to my questions regarding my family member. They were always friendly and accommodating.

It is too expensive for what you get. Food was cold often. Cleaning crew was not the best. And maintenance was slow to respond due to being short handed.

Most of the staff have been at Truewood a long time, which speaks volumes to me. They genuinely care about their residents! And there are wonderful volunteers who do special events that stand out (like a Mother's Day Tea or Kentucky Derby party). There's a warm and friendly atmosphere about the place! I'm really glad this is where Mom is because she's well cared for!
