Merrill Gardens

A 4 on admin because changes resulted in lapses on communication. I realize that changes in staff are not uncommon. Most certainly one of their top challenges. Overall, I was pleased with the experience.

I would recommend in a heart beat. Fun place to live. If you don't enjoy every day you're here - That's on you!! They have the BEST ACTIVITY DIRECTOR. They really care about their residents

Management can always be counted on. Last year we were without power for several days. Staff came in and slept in the building, took food to people that were unable to climb the stairs cooked outside on grills, had pizzas delivered, etc. Recently there was a gas leak because a workman broke a pipe. They made sure we all got out of the building., arranged for us to go across the street to another building until it was safe to come back. they had arranged for buses to bring us back to our building and they had pizzas waiting for us because they couldn't use the kitchen.

The whole setup is very nice. The people are friendly and helpful. The food is good. The atmosphere is nice. Lots of fun outings. Lots of help and understanding. Good communication.

My opinion is based only on our interactions through the move in process. Unfortunately, my mother passed the day before she was to move in. Generally yes we had a good impression of the community. She didn't want to leave her condo but she realized living alone was no longer an option. Merrill Gardens was in her neighborhood and they were very welcoming so she was open to the idea and received a good impression from everyone there.

The staff is professional and accommodating as well as making residents feel comfortable and at home. It has a clean and pleasant atmosphere along with a variety of activities.

The staff is great, food is great, dining experience is also great. Elevator is poor and activities are TBD. Room size is great and location is great. I would recommend this place to others.

From the first time Mom and I walked into Mission Ridge there have only positive experiences. [name removed] made us feel very welcome and provided all the information we needed to make the decision to move Mom into independent living at Mission Ridge. All the staff have lived up to the high bar that was set the first day. They call her by name and have made her move transition so easy. Any questions we’ve had have been answered in a timely manner and staff going the extra mile has been the norm! We’re so thankful to have Mom living in a safe and happy environment.

The unique location of this senior facility superior to its competition. The park offers opportunities for meaningful exploration while exercising, and its evolving seasons keeps it always fresh. The neighborhood around the facility offers abundant shops and curiosities within walking distance. The Merrill Gardens facility itself also makes it an excellent place to live. The place is actually small enough (not much over 100 residents) that all its residents can get to know each other . The organized activities are various and plentiful. There is a fine movie series, many outings, and lots of arts, equipment, and games available (like Jeopardy.) There seens to be a willingness on the part of the staff to encourage suggestions for new things. I looked at the competirion and have no doubt I chose the best place.

The entire staff is friendly and make an effort to get to know all the residents. The administrators are very quick to ask questions if anything comes up, and are very responsive to any concerns we have.

I would rate each category as a 5. The staff was friendly, the food was good and they took good care of my sisters. Yes, we would recommend Sunshine Villa to other families based on the experience so far.

The staff was very helpful from the front desk, intake staff and nurse. Certainly there is paperwork and an assessment but all went smoothly. Once moved in the residents welcomed my mother in law into the community. She also likes the menu so she can choose what she would like to eat that day. She especially likes the salmon dinner. The caregivers have been very helpful walking her to the dining room as she was getting acquainted with where everything is located. Highly recommend Merrill Gardens.

I would absolutely recommend Murano. Living here feels like staying in a boutique hotel elegant and welcoming! While there have been a few small glitches, the staff consistently go above and beyond, which more than makes up for it.

It is great to be close to baseball field and other restaurants within walking distance. My mom is an active 90 year old that likes to walk the park. And we walk up to baseball game and publico restaurant. Active community

[name removed] greets and helps everyone professionally at the front desk. Can handle many at once when it would probably not be possible for others to do so well along with handling the phone calls coming in.

From our first tour of the place, my wife and I were extremely happy with the quality of the facility. My mother in law has been a resident for just over one year and been very happy with the staff. They are attentive to the needs of my MIL and from our interactions they CARE about the residents. The menu that the residents can choose from is diverse and every day besides the standard selections there are two special items for diversity. We have tasted the food and we were very happy with the quality. Finally, every day the staff has activities for residents including trips out of the facility. We have been very happy with Mission Ridge.

My aunt and uncle have lived at Merrill Gardens, Auburn, for 8 years. Throughout this time, the staff at Merrill Gardens Auburn took excellent care of my aunt and uncle. From the diligent cleaning staff to the food service staff to the activity organizers to the caregivers and nursing staff, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely engaged with my family. They went out of their way to ensure that my aunt and uncle were safe and well taken care of. Knowing that my aunt and uncle were in such capable hands was a great comfort to me and eased many worries. This is an excellent choice for family members needing assisted care.

The staff was very supportive and professional under [name removed] and [name removed] supervision.

Truewood by Merrill is an amazing place. Lots of activities you can stay busy from 7:30am until 6pm at night. [name removed] is the Activity Director and she is fantastic. Food is good overseen by [name removed]. All the staff are wonderful and very accommodating and helpful.

The staff were fabulous. The food is not great, but I highly recommend. My brother really did not participate in the group activities, so I don't have any feedback on that. His room was nice...studio but with a separate sleeping area. Kitchen was a bit small for his needs...decided to add a table for his back prep. Again... cannot say enough about the staff - they are fabulous.
