Merrill Gardens

This is one the nicest places I have ever seen for assisted living. The atmosphere is amazing along with stellar cleanliness. Everyone is so helpful and ready to assist you in any way. I will be moving my friend in within the next 2 weeks.

5 stars across the board! The staff the amazing! They are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond. The facility is very clean and the food is delicious with many options. I also like that there are plenty of activities for all to participate.

Very impressive. This felt like home from start to finish. Warm and welcoming community. All questions were answered during our tour. Mom would be safe here and enjoy this community.

I was very impressed with MERRIL GARDENS, everything about it kept ringing the bells for me; room size and cost, activities, meals and restruants, driving service to doctors and religious services, It was all top notch as far as I was concerned. And they request a $[removed] deposit to hold a place for you which is totally refundable -- even if you decide you want to go somewhere else. When i am able to travel, I m definitely going to visit to see this place in person and have an opportunity to meet staff and residents, Thank you A Place for Mom!

Very nice property. Pleasant surrounding. Clean. Very friendly staff, and residents were very positive about living there.

All 5s except food is a 4. It is very difficult job to please everybody all the time especially with vast array of what people eat. The complex's landscaping and layout is well maintained and easy to move about in. The employees are friendly. The care provider is flexible and its people compassionate.

Staff have been consistently supportive of my mother and the rest of us as she is adjusting to the new setting

Merrill Gardens was very welcoming, my sister was at ease and found her niche there immediately.

My dad really loved it there, he moved out in February, just met a lady and they had other plans! He especially loved the food and the staff! Hopefully if he needs too he can go back there!

I wonder give them a 5 in all the categories. I'm very pleased that I selected Merrill Gardens. I like the staff, the food, and I've met some very nice residents. I'm also getting excellent rehab for my balance issue, which is very much appreciated. Also, the staff, who cleans my room, is very good. I would definitely recommend Merrill Gardens at Barkley Place as a place to live.

We were greeted warmly. We had lunch in the dining room; there are tables for 4. Two residents sat down with us and engaged in pleasant conversation with us. They were not happy about needing to be in assisted living, but they felt that the staff is kind and caring. Cleaning staff does a good job, and concerns they have are appropriately addressed. The food was good, with limited salt and sugar. There were multiple options for each course, and residents can choose to have meals delivered to their apartments. We toured a studio and an occupied one-bedroom; everything was clean and orderly. The activities offered are varied and interesting; transportation is free to shops and activities within a 10 mile radius. Residents can have pets and drive cars.

They are caring and loving they are just going through some staff changing right now. That's why they didn't get five on those questions as far as activities. My father-in-law really hasn't joined into any of them. It's just who he is. [name removed], the director that just left, [name removed] and [name removed] at the front desk and even [name removed] Maintenance were all very kind. I could tell they truly cared and did the best they could. Just for full disclosure we have moved [name removed] into a different facility mainly because it was bigger and they had more staff available. Otherwise we would not have moved him.

The facility was great. Everything about our experience was positive. The staff was so caring and professional. We would highly recommend Truewood.

I found that everything on balance is pretty good. The facility, the staff, especially the personal care that my mother receives from Saving Grace. It's also a lot of value for the money in that you cost a lot less than everybody else, including other Merrill properties.

[name removed] is very happy at Merrill Gardens and has been there for over two years now.

Everyone is nice and helpful. I would recommend to others.

They are constantly looking out for the residents. The facility is newly updated. Mom and her husband are very happy being there.
