Merrill Gardens

I love everything about Mission Ridge memory care. My uncle is happy there. . We are very pleased with the staff and I personally love to visit with the residents when we are there for a visit. The menu of food they serve is awesome. The facility is new and that was important to me. It has that new smell. When you walk into the facility there are friendly people at the desk and they always greet me and my husband with a smile.

5 for all. I would highly recommend Truewood by Merrill, Boise to other families based on the experience so far.

[name removed] and I have lived here for nine months now. We are still very happy to be here. The quality of the surroundings is still first rate. The best part of Mission Ridge is the staff. Everyone seems happy to be working here, so the treatment we receive is first rate. We cannot imagine a better place to live.

This place was perfect. A few things I really like about it is how extremely kind and caring the management was.

My mother was only there for three months, as she passed away in September. During the three months she was there, the staff took great care of her. Merrill Gardens is beautiful and well maintained. Everyone who works there is caring and communicative with the family.

Overall experience was excellent. The staff were friendly, caring and helpful. Their "bridge" program for people with cognitive issues is a gem.

Overall, my mother-in-law really enjoys living there. She likes the location, which allows her a sidewalk with activity just to people watch or sidewalks for walking. The staff is very pleasant and fun. They offer a wide range of activities. She likes the food, and typically picks it up to go. She has experienced some longer than stated wait times and sometimes does not get what she has ordered, so the dining experience could be improved a bit. Overall, she is very happy living there and we are happy with how she is treated. The facility is very clean as well.

What stood out the most is the friendly staff and it is very clean. My stepmother is in Hospice, so TV is her main activity. The kindness that is shown to her and the care are very nice.

5 for each, they were the best we could have hoped for! When we were there to tour, we actually had time in the lobby with another resident's daughter and she rightly raved about this new home we were considering. They are truly attentive to each individual in their care. They draw each person out of their selves and engage them in activities to their own level of comfort, they are able to engage even the quiet. They are respectful to the residents and use language that causes no shame or embarrassment for situations that arise. They engage their hearts, the residents are loved.

The people that work here seem to like their jobs ! Very friendly, happy, and caring. If you have a question they will find you the answer. Everyone LOVES the food ! Great tasting, nutritious meals. It is clean and well maintained.

We are very happy at Truewood. Everyone has been very nice and welcoming. Yes, I would definitely recommend the community to others

My mother and father are very happy there and even though they kept their car, don't leave much at all. They find everything they need at Merrill Gardens. They also enjoy the company of friends and staff. Their apartment is comfortable and spacious

I feel secure here. I’ve met some great friends . I was nervous moving in that I wouldn’t know anyone but I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the people are here. To top it off I absolutely love my apartment and my screened in porch for my kitties. I love living here

This facility offers all of the activities and benefits I was seeking and is staffed by a caring and empathetic group dedícated to seeing to the wellbeing of everyone here. The facility is well maintained and easy to navigate. It is also close to many conveniences such as groceries, post office,a variety of stores, restaurants, and good medical facilites.plus transportation is available free within a ten mile radious, shopping outings are planned regularly, and full day outings also. Over all a truly plesant place to live.

The staff and residents are so welcoming. Very positive experience from interacting with all the people there. My dad has a studio apt which overlooks the courtyard. Always activities happening and the food in the dining room is so yummy looking. Can’t think of a better place for my dad to live at. He’s 97 and needs help with certain things but can still remain pretty independent with his own apartment. Also, dogs and cats are welcome there which always makes people smile when they come in contact with a resident’s pet. Total win-win.

Very helpful welcoming staff. [name removed] was a great liaison for my sister for meds that were as needed. The staff that gave showers went over and beyond to make her feel as though she could still look nice. Overall great experience.

I would give them a 10 for everything. There are so many activities. There are various room sizes, and the staff is wonderful. I would absolutely recommend them, it is the best one in Santa Cruz.

From the initial tour to move in was smooth. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, empathetic and accessible. The Pines, Garden House, has a good staff to resident ratio. There are stimulating activities available daily which residents can passively or actively participate in if they desire. As a family member, I'm happy we made the move for my loved one.
