Merrill Gardens

It's a wonderful place. We told my loved one it was like staying at a Hyatt. It was well run. She loved it here. Housekeeping comes daily, washers and dryers in their rooms or the laundry service would do it for a fee. They provided a lot of activities such as scavenger hunts, book club, happy hour, etc. Meals had a great variety, that was real food, she loved it. Only issue was waiting on food to be delivered and it wouldn't be as warm then. The staff was overall very friendly and nice.

This is the best place I have seen so far for my loved ones, and they choose this community. There are some many good things about Merrill Gardens. There is a movie theater, garden club, women's and men's club, and there is music playing in the hallway. The community feels calm and everyone is very nice here. The staff are great to work with. There are times I have had to check on my loved ones and couldn't get ahold of them, and the front desk was friendly and efficient to get ahold of my loved ones for me to call me back. My loved ones really enjoy the food. There are lots of different options for the residents and this makes it interesting. The food is delicious tasting. There is a standard menu for the residents to order off of if they don't like what is being served. The food is restaurant quality. There are lots of activities for the residents to choose from if they want to get involved with it. There is a washer and dryer in my loved one's apartment. There is an outdoor space off each apartment big enough for table and chairs, and a full kitchen in the apartment. There is housekeeping, on staff nurse, the room, indoor postal area, medication management, meals, activities, and transportation that is included in the monthly fee.

The community is nicely laid out. The prices are all ala carte and this would have been out of our price range. They do allow pets for a monthly.

there has been different staff changes and transitions during our loved ones stay but the executive director is fantastic, all the care givers are fantastic. It is a very nice community that is kept very clean.

Our loved one will soon be moving in and everything we have experience with the community so far was been great, we are so happy with them. She loves her apartment and is very happy with it. She loves the list of activities they have to offer and likes the fact they get to go out on different outings.

This is a very nice place, and I would recommend you give it a try for yourself or a loved one. The staff are very attentive. The food is very good, and there are choices for entrees, and they have a set menu that is always available. The community is able to provide housekeeping and transportation. There is a kitchenette in the apartment along with a washer and dryer. There are three meals that are provided each day.

I have been here six months and am pleased with the facility and staff. the housekeepers and dining servers are excellent and hard workers. my apartment is comfortable and I am happy with it. I appreciate the work [name removed] did in presenting the apartments so I could pick the best one for me. I have made many great friends in this facility.

This was a very nice community. I liked it but it did not work because I needed a community that would work with my insurance also and this community would not work.

I'm very pleased with our experience. This is a beautiful community and my loved one is happy here. The food is your standard options in this type of setting in a nice dining room with special the residents can select from each day. Some of the activities they have available include crafts, movies, holiday celebrations, happy hour, and more for the residents to choose from.

Merrill gardens is definitely a nice place to bring your loved one. a nice, clean environment with friendly staff who are very welcoming to visiting families. they could benefit from bringing in more engaging activities for the residents, but still overall a good community. the best out of the other places we toured.

The Pines of Newmarket is a very nice community and the staff are super friendly. Every time we come to visit our loved one is never sitting alone, there are so many different activities going on. This community is one of the least expensive in the are also.

Good community, too far from family.

The staff are the best part of the community. They are very responsive to questions or concerns that the family may have.. My loved one enjoys the food. The activities are restricted due to the pandemic.

This community was nice but only had 9 rooms and 9 beds. It was not enough space for my loved one.

We chose Merrill Gardens because they had available space at the time we needed it and also I could see it was very clean, it smelled good, and all of the staff who helped us were extremely friendly and helpful. We really appreciated how upfront and honest they were with us. They have different tiers of care, they have independent living, assisted living, as well as memory care. So as needs change, you are able to increase the amount of help you are getting without having to move. I would recommend to others who are looking.

Merrill Gardens at Rolling Hills gets 5 out of 5 stars. The facility is impeccable. It seems expensive, but for what you get I don't think you can beat it. It was neck and neck between this facility and the one that we ended up choosing, but it just came down to the location. My mother in law may have to go into assisted living soon and this will be where she goes because it is closer to her. It is just amazing.

I had a very good tour at Merrill Gardens at Madison. The tour person was informative and showed me all around the facility. The residents I saw seemed very happy. Based on my visit, the looks of the facility, and the activities they offer, I thought it was a very nice place - just very expensive.
